I finally finished a video tutorial that explains the process I go through in making the animal crossing models MMD compatible. Yes I will make the static animal crossing models available to the public but please be patient while I convert them to formats you can open. While you wait why not check the playlist and install the needed programs if you are interested in helping me out. If you have any suggestion let me know on youtube.

sorry if youve been asked this before but how do you make your models for mmd!! theyre so cool!!!

Thank you, and haha, yah I do get this asked a lot! I make the base of the model (Face, Body, hair, and sometimes the outfit) In Vroid Studio. Everything else is then edited into PMX Editor after it's converted.

fixed the issue with her shoes.... turns out it was an easy fix and i was overcomplicating it hrjhgjfghj

Anyways it's not enough to have the bones parented properly, it was an issue of bone order.

Pictured above is how I organized it, although I think you can probably cheat and just shove the bones down to the bottom if you're lazy, but it's not a bad idea to practice organizing your model so feel free to reference off of this if cheating didn't work for you for whatever reason.

You can probably solve this in blender with the bone override thing but I hate clicking multiple times and I think it requires for everything to be joined together unless I'm misunderstanding something and I don't need to do all of that. Well anyways it's probably easier to just fix that issue in PMXeditor rather than blender where bone order does not matter lol

so to summarize:

make sure the bones are parented

check for bone order in PMX editor and fix it if needed

anyways YAAAAY i can continue working on this model

does anyone take commissions for mmd models?  i’m really interested in it and i can run nanoem, but pmxeditor doesn’t work on my computer and there is no alternative for my os.  i tried setting up a virtual machine but that didn’t work either
