I just finished watching the first episodes of the reboot.

Let's just say, they weren't kidding about the hype.

This season is gonna be SO GOOD!

Oh, and after watching them, I understand what the creators meant when they said that the stakes are higher now, and that there were storylines they couldn't figure out how to do in the original run.

I’m so glad PnF is taking place in a new summer, the next year

I personally don’t care much about the time line but I love the idea of them being more “grown up” and a year older (especially at their canon ages of like 7-9 ish) that years a lot

Between season one and four we already see so much character growth and I can’t wait to see more

Hyperspecific Season 6 Episode Predictions

Today I was struck with 3 episode predictions for the upcoming 6th season of Phineas and Ferb. I thought I would share them.

Episode 1: The New Norm

The episode will begin with Doof and Vanessa literally picking up the pieces of Norm from the previous episode. Throughout the episode, Doof will make a conscious effort to include Norm in his scheme. It will end with Doof promising Norm that he'll treat him better, maybe as a son, from now on. Will he keep his promise throughout the rest of the season? Your guess is as good as mine. Probably some episodes he will, some he won't, and we can conclude that he is trying to change his ways, but it's hard and he slips up and backslides sometimes. Vanessa, on the other hand, will make every effort to include Norm as a brother.

4th of July episode:

In all 260 episodes and 2 movies so far, the most surprising thing to me that they DIDN'T do was a 4th of July episode. I think it would be a great way to explore the cultural backgrounds of each character, particularly Ferb and Lawrence (being immigrants from Britain) and Doof (being an immigrant from Drusselstein, which was likely under British occupation at some point). Baljeet could also be interesting, given India's historical relationship to Britain. Isabella could give advice because she's used to it -- she comes from a family split by the Atlantic Ocean.

But why did we not see it before? I think this could be a plot point as well. Phineas could ask "What did we do last year, Ferb?" (Side note: try saying that sentence multiple times, with the emphasis on each word). And Ferb could shrug. Later, Monogram reminds Perry during his mission briefing that last year, his family caught him in agent mode. The only reason he got away with it is because a beam from Doof's Amnesia-Nator (which he built to make everyone forget what the 4th of July is even about) hit everyone, and Perry put away his hat in the chaos.

This would obviously be a 2-parter or more.

Season finale:

Obviously the season finale will be the last day of that summer. Doof will be prepping to return to high school science teaching, but Perry will not be reassigned to robotic scorpion duty -- instead he will stay with his family, visiting Doof often and helping fund his path to becoming Professor Time. The boys will create another "Everything" invention, Candace will try to bust them one last time, and the reboot will come full circle with Linda organizing something to do as a family.

Bonus note:

Over the next 9 years, Perry's visits will generally decrease to only Wednesdays for bowling. And Professor Time will return the favor by helping Perry live longer, eventually playing checkers another 10 years later.

My prediction is that it’s going to be 40 episodes that, once again, take place in the same summer (like the recent movie did) and don’t really show a ton of character development because of the lack of time passing which is…..disappointing. But, hey, at the very least, we’ll laugh and get to see our face again so I’m still happy!!
