Well, I may not have been entirely right, but apparently the producers agreed with me when they quit on this idea after only a short while to focus on Buford vs Wild.

Also, Isabella, it doesn't look like YOU'RE the one who got a new bathing suit here...

Though, note that this image is from the Backyard Beach day, and Isabella and Ferb wore their purple swimsuits in all their other appearances. So it's likely they got new ones during the original summer, and Phineas just got his a year later.

Or, it's possible that was just a Fireside Girl uniform.

so you guys ever wonder if Phineas would ever get upset at Isabella? He’s a patient guy even with Candace and he seems only gets upset when there’s something on the line

i kinda imagine it as he doesn’t have time to panic so as others might panic he might get angry at how others don’t see a situation as serious as him

and LOVES and CHERISHES Isabella so the thought of her getting hurt at his lack of action would probably make him lash out

I think a large part of the reason Phineas is so patient is because he rarely has a reason to get angry. As he says in The Phineas and Ferb Effect, "We... have no frame of reference for that [when things go wrong]." Usually he and Ferb just try to have fun every day. And when they do find themselves in a sticky situation, they can usually invent their way out of it. They have those positive probability ions that make anything they try to do, succeed.

So Phineas gets frustrated and angry when life doesn't work out. When something is truly at stake. When he can't take the lead. Especially when he needs someone else to help, who isn't helping. We see that in situations like:

Candace messing up the power assignments in the Marvel episode

"It was all a dream! Christmas WASN'T canceled!"

A spider standing between Candace and saving the world from eternal winter

"You're a secret agent?!"

Him freaking out over losing Isabella to the pharmacists

Baljeet's mountain climbing adventure

And of course, "GET ON THE TRIKE!"

(Note that he's still fairly calm and collected in special episodes where he CAN lead a charge or help out in any way. It's only when he's NOT in control that he loses it. That's probably why Ferb is much more emotionally stable than Phineas, because Ferb prefers to be a supporter, while Phineas prefers to be the leader.)

That's also why I admire Candace, Milo and Doof a heck of a lot more: because they have the negative probability ions. Life has not been kind to them. But somehow, they still find ways to give more back to the world than what they got out of it -- Doof and Candace mainly with their families, but it still counts, and Milo with just about everybody.

But given how much Phineas idolizes Candace, and he has still gotten angry with her (albeit for very justifiable reasons), I think it is possible he would get angry at Isabella. Of course it would require her to either refuse to cooperate with him, which she has never done in 5 seasons, or to try to help but mess things up, which she has also never done in 5 seasons.

But it could still happen.

Season 3 Format

Returning voters, this will look a little different than the previous tournaments. But also, a little similar.

Rules this season

I think the easiest way to explain this is round by round:

Round 1: all 25 characters will be randomly seeded in 5 polls of 5. The top 2 from each poll, as well as the top 6 wild cards across all polls, will move on to the winners bracket.

If we need any tiebreakers, they will happen here.

Round L1: the other 9 players who did not make the winners bracket will compete in 3 polls of 3.

Round L2: the 3 losers of L1 will compete in a single poll. The loser of that poll will take 25th place.

Round W1: the 16 players in the winners bracket will be randomly seeded and compete in 8 matchups. The winners will move on, the losers will each randomly match up with one of the 8 players left in the losers bracket.

After that, we will alternate using this pattern:

Losers Bracket round matching up the winners of the last losers bracket round vs the losers of the last winners bracket round

Losers Bracket round matching up the winners of the last losers bracket round

Winners bracket round matching up the winners of the last winners bracket round

Once a player loses in the losers bracket, they will be eliminated and revealed.

The first round starts later today!

Hyperspecific Season 6 Episode Predictions

Today I was struck with 3 episode predictions for the upcoming 6th season of Phineas and Ferb. I thought I would share them.

Episode 1: The New Norm

The episode will begin with Doof and Vanessa literally picking up the pieces of Norm from the previous episode. Throughout the episode, Doof will make a conscious effort to include Norm in his scheme. It will end with Doof promising Norm that he'll treat him better, maybe as a son, from now on. Will he keep his promise throughout the rest of the season? Your guess is as good as mine. Probably some episodes he will, some he won't, and we can conclude that he is trying to change his ways, but it's hard and he slips up and backslides sometimes. Vanessa, on the other hand, will make every effort to include Norm as a brother.

4th of July episode:

In all 260 episodes and 2 movies so far, the most surprising thing to me that they DIDN'T do was a 4th of July episode. I think it would be a great way to explore the cultural backgrounds of each character, particularly Ferb and Lawrence (being immigrants from Britain) and Doof (being an immigrant from Drusselstein, which was likely under British occupation at some point). Baljeet could also be interesting, given India's historical relationship to Britain. Isabella could give advice because she's used to it -- she comes from a family split by the Atlantic Ocean.

But why did we not see it before? I think this could be a plot point as well. Phineas could ask "What did we do last year, Ferb?" (Side note: try saying that sentence multiple times, with the emphasis on each word). And Ferb could shrug. Later, Monogram reminds Perry during his mission briefing that last year, his family caught him in agent mode. The only reason he got away with it is because a beam from Doof's Amnesia-Nator (which he built to make everyone forget what the 4th of July is even about) hit everyone, and Perry put away his hat in the chaos.

This would obviously be a 2-parter or more.

Season finale:

Obviously the season finale will be the last day of that summer. Doof will be prepping to return to high school science teaching, but Perry will not be reassigned to robotic scorpion duty -- instead he will stay with his family, visiting Doof often and helping fund his path to becoming Professor Time. The boys will create another "Everything" invention, Candace will try to bust them one last time, and the reboot will come full circle with Linda organizing something to do as a family.

Bonus note:

Over the next 9 years, Perry's visits will generally decrease to only Wednesdays for bowling. And Professor Time will return the favor by helping Perry live longer, eventually playing checkers another 10 years later.

Happy last day of school, Phineas and Ferb!

Phineas and Isabella having their first wedding anniversary in Paris as a do-over from when they were kids, they take a flight out there and have a nice hotel and a tour group schedule and they stop and smell the roses and get their portrait done by a street painter, and they're at a lovely restaurant three days into it and the conversation falls to an awkward silence and Isabella sort of smiles and goes, "Phineas, this trip has been wonderful..." He frowns. "But...?" Reluctantly, Isabella admits, "But, this is all so boring." And he sags with relief and says, "Oh, thank God, it wasn't just me," and then they turn the narrow streets of Paris into the world's largest game of pinball and run around in giant balls terrorizing the locals and they're both laughing so hard that it hurts and they can't stop smiling and the trip is much better once they decide to leave early and build a submarine to go deep-diving in the Atlantic on the way home.

Pillaging vikings: I don't remember this happening to Candace, but Doof brought back the Mongol army in Lotsa Latkes

Parsnip poisoning: Jerk de Soleil, Across the Second Dimension

Head is invisible: Never happened to Candace, but Doof's head became invisible in Don't Even Blink

Mysterious Force talks through plumbing: probably came up with it after she found out Perry's secret identity and Monogram said he was with Danville Water and Power

Mom is on the moon: Never happened, but Phineas and Ferb went to the moon at least 3 times: The Secret of Success, The Doof Side of the Moon, and Moon Farm. Plus they also went there in one timeline of Last Day of Summer.

50 Foot Ferb: happened after Phineas and Ferb's growth formula hit the entire universe in Attack of the 50-Foot Sister

Talking zebra: several episodes

Pitched Ducky: possibly she pitched (proposed) a Ducky Momo movie or episode at the Comic Con in Nerds of a Feather, possibly she pitched (threw out) her Ducky Momo plushie in Terrifying Tri-State Trilogy of Terror, possibly something else

Spo- Co- Int-: probably Spontaneous Combustion (something), which I don't remember ever happening

Phineas and Isabella having cellphones and only using them in one episode is a funnier concept than it should be. Like they've been stranded in space, places around the world, another dimension, for a lot of reasons would have been plot devices to have lazier writing or something, but they only have phones once ever, like they made them for that and it disappeared with the shrinking sub and they went "Oh well"
