While talking with Mark Twain in the guild you might've forgotten about your sensitive boyfriend who was sitting next to you two. Karl yips and falls onto Poe's lap to comfort his owner who was always on the verge of tears, but now especially.
Why is he here..? It was supposed to be a date...Poe thinks solemnly to himself. The restaurant he picked was incredibly fancy, with marble flooring and red carpets, not to mention the private room he rented. Yet your gaze was still not on him! It was infuriating, all the poor man wanted was all your attention.
When Mark left you finally turn back to hm. "Sorry I was just catching up w-" You cut yourself off when you see his trembling shoulders, tears falling down his cheeks. "I'm so sorry baby..!" You stand and rush to his side, studying his wet face.
"Hic... Sniff... Why was he here?" Poe cries softly, guilt washing over you, each wave of it stronger than the last.
"No-no-no, baby its okay, I love you-I only love you." You hug him tightly, his head falling onto your shoulder. "M' so sorry," You whisper again.
"It's okay." Poe mumbles.
"No it's not! You rented out this whole fancy place just for me to neglect you. I want you to hate me and demand some extravagant apology this instant!" Your thumb wipes away some of his ears, bangs now stuck to Poe's forehead.
A small pause ensued before he says quietly, "C-can I get a kiss?"
It wasn't someone Ranpo was jealous of, it was rather something that happened to captivate your attention over him.
A cat, it was curled up on your stomach where his head should be! And how Ranpo's of pouting and huffing, he doesn't care that he got to name it. He cares about how its nose is resting on your thigh. You just met the furball for goodness sake! Why do you care for it more than your own boyfriend!?
You hear stomping and whining outside the door, grumbling and jumping on the floorboards to get your attention. Taking out your phone you text him;
"Honey? What in gods green earth are you doing outside that door?"
No response, but the stomping sure did get quieter from Ranpo's mortification.
"Sweetie, just come in the room, you can share for just this once."
More stomping is heard before Ranpo bursts in the room and koalas himself around your leg. The cat meows loudly and Ranpo responds with a very, very, adult answer.
"Mow" he meows back. "Mow-"
"Ranpo stop meowing at the kitten, she's scared... and I kinda am too." All that got was for Ranpo to hiss and the cat swats at him with her nails.
It was a...wonderful experience
"Why don't you strangle me with these beautiful, dainty, hands of yours?" Dazai touches your hand despite you pulling away, cupping it to his cheek before he feels the presence of Yosano behind him. She yanks his hand back and studies it, pressing her finger against a scab-reopening it and causing Dazai to grunt.
"You know... these are pretty easy to open and get infected. Perhaps I should treat you?" Yosano's grip gets stronger and he suddenly had a very important 'task' to do and rushed away.
Yosano collapses next to you on the chair that originally was Dazai's. "Tch-his fingers would've been cut off if I didn't know him."
"Yosano? Darling?" You study her bitter face. "Sorry, I wasn't flirting back with him-I swear!"
"I know you weren't, that maniac is just so much in all the wrong ways." Her nails rake up your thigh causing a shiver to flood down your spine.
"Oh-uhm-exactly! Right!" You stammer out, cringing as you face heats up. A chuckle is heard from her.
"I do hope you didn't use up your break yet." Yosano's hand is now cupping you're back as she leads you up and into her operating room, marking the door as 'busy'.

Warnings: mentions of blood, this is a bit angsty. It's 1:34 am and I didn't proof read this, I apologize for any mistakes.
Poe wouldn't dare speak. He saw your hands fumbling through the bruises and cuts he had all over his face and arms, wrapping bandages with your eyebrows knotted in a furious gaze; he knew exactly what you were thinking and what you were trying not to say.
"Love," He tried after a few minutes of silence, looking straight into your face even if your eyes were not meeting his.
The sounds of destruction happening just around the corner were terrifying enough, you didn’t need to look at his face to be reminded that your hideaway was as destructible as the life you were trying to keep a hold on to. But Poe couldn’t seem to understand it, he keeps throwing himself into every heroic situation he can, thinking of himself as an invincible deity who can handle whatever fight gets thrown into him. Except this time.
He had promised. That’s what hurted you the most. He swore, right before taking off from the base, that he was not going to pull his intrepid moves. And yet there he was, being dragged away from a blast into the back of an alley with his body full of burn marks and scrapes, with you sitting on your knees working hurriedly before getting caught.
Good thing he promised it, you think to yourself as you clean his wounds with the bacta liquid you carry in your belt, and you can’t help but wonder if bacta liquid won’t be enough to heal him one day.
“Y/N.” Poe tries again once you are done bandaging his forearm, reaching for your hand as it drops. Your free hand goes to your hair, pushing it back as a sigh leaves your lips, and that’s when you finally look at him; and you look at him with tears hinting to come out and your bottom lip quivering. “Hey, don’t worry, I’m alright-”
“No, you are not, Poe!” You snapped back, your voice matching the energy from the blasts heard around the building. “You are hurt! You have burns on your skin, your ankle is twisted and your face is bleeding! That’s far from being alright!”
There is anger in your voice, and in your eyes he can see the hurt and fear he caused. He has no words this time because he knows he fucked up, he knows that whatever good his last act just did, the harm it caused was not worth it.
“You promised.” You say with a broken voice and tears falling freely down your cheeks. “You promised me you would be safe and then you launched into the easiest ways to get hurt.”
“I know, I know.” His calloused fingers wipe the tears from your cheeks and go back to hold your hands. “And I’m sorry. I swear to you-”
“Don’t.” You warn him. “Don’t swear on something that you will not be able to fulfill. I’m tired of your promises.” In his face you see he trully is sorry, but the same conversation happens every time he gets hurt on a mission for doing some reckless stunt, and you know for a fact that his stunts are getting more dangerous every time, as if he was challenging death to catch him every time he hops in his X-Wing. “You are going to leave me alone in this war, and it is like you don’t even care.” A broken sob escapes your throat at the same time the troopers outside start shooting again.
Poe bends his knees to sit closer to you, his legs cover your sides and his arms wrap around you as he cradles you into his chest. “I’m sorry.” He speaks against your hair. “I’m so sorry. And I care, I do, you have no idea.”
You pull apart slightly to be able to look him in the eye. “Then act like it.” You beg him as you lift your hand to hold his face. “Please, Poe. Just once please,” the hold you have on his face strengthens and you press your lips to his firmly, because he scared you before, and because you mean every single word you said. You deepen the kiss for a few seconds, his tongue gently grazing your lips as you hold the edges of his orange suit to make sure he understands your words before you lose your mind. “I can’t lose you, I need you to understand that.” You say, gasping for air and resting your forehead on his.
“You won’t.” He assures you, holding your neck and kissing you again, this time softer. “I promise you, I’ll always come back to you.” You know he means it this time, you see it in his eyes as he saw the fear in yours before, and you see it in his hands as his fingers toy with the ring that hangs around your neck. “I promise.”

summary: where y/n and poe get into a stupid argument, but forget about it when y/n gets hurt
a/n: my first ever poe imagine and it is a winter related one, yayy~ found this idea on a prompt list by @verobird
warnings: cursing
universe: star wars
You do not know how you managed to get to this point again.
In the morning everything still seemed to be perfectly fine. You were assigned to a short mission to Kijimi, really nothing big, just to get some information and leave again. And now you are on Kijimi, but a little different from what you expected.
"Just because you had to be so freaking stubborn again! Can you not let your damn ego get in the way for once?", you angrily yell at Poe, your boyfriend who also happens to be the General of the Resistance.
"Excuse me? I saved your life, Y/N!", he responds, equally aggressive as you right now.
"That is what you think! I had everything perfectly under control and now our informant is dead. Because you could not stick to the plan!", you rant, pacing up and down in front of him as you try to control the burning anger inside of you.
As soon as you arrived on the cold planet of Kijimi with the Falcon, you instantly realized that it would not be such an easy mission after all. Stormtroppers of the First Order were everywhere and you had to sneak in the shadows from house to house with your little team. Until you finally found the informant who unfortunately was already being held by stormtroopers.
One thing lead to another, a blaster fight occured and ended with Poe having to protect you, which meant losing your important informant. Once again he could not follow a simple plan which actually only consisted of two rules.
"Guys, please. Now is really not the right time to argue", Finn sighs from behind Poe, already watching you two bickering for ten minutes straight. "It is only a matter of time before more troops show up-"
"Stay out of this, Finn", you both say at the same time, not looking away from each other. Finn's hands shoot up in defense immediately and he takes a step back as he decides to not intervene in your argument more, which is probably better for him.
"Maybe you should have just been more careful so I did not have to save you for the hundredth time, Y/N! Have you ever thought about that? That maybe it is your fault instead of mine-"
You cut off his words as your cold palm lands on his cheek with a loud, juicy smack. Poe looks at you in shock, carefully laying his own hand on his now reddish cheek.
"You can be such an asshole sometimes!", you shout at him, tears filling your eyes. To not let him see your vulnerability, you quickly turn around, just wanting to get away from there.
Unfortunately, you do not get very far, because when you want to go down the icy steps, you suddenly slip and fall down the remaining steps, letting out a yelp of his name, until you land on the cold snow-covered ground with a loud thump.
You stay motionless for the time being and feel deep inside yourself whether you have injured yourself somewhere, the cold snow wetting your clothes.
"Holy Maker, Y/N!", you hear Finn's voice behind you and you try to shakily lift yourself up, to no avail. In the next second you are pulled up firmly by your upper arms and land in a warm hug.
"What are you even doing, Y/N?", he softly whispers in your ear, one of his hands gently stroking your hair while the other holds you tightly against him. "Did you hurt yourself?"
Laying your head against his shoulder, you shake your head in denial but when you try to stand on your own a moment later, you painfully pull back your foot and Poe catches you protectively in his arms again. Without having to say where it hurts, he is quick to inspect your ankle from the distance, calling Finn while doing so.
"Hold her for a moment, okay? I will take a closer look", he commands and Finn quickly puts your arm around his shoulder to support you while Poe carefully places your injured foot on his knee, examining it. With a sigh he gets up again.
"Seems to be sprained pretty badly", he explains, his voice full of concern. He puts his hands on your cheeks and looks deep into your eyes. "Is it only your foot or does it also hurt somewhere else, sweetheart? How is your head?"
"O-Only my a-ankle", you shiver and sink down your head, the cold slowly attacking your body, your damp clothes not necessarily making it any better. The sound of a zipper opening causes you to shoot up your head, but Poe's jacket is already wrapped around your body before you can even stop him.
He looks around, looks at the others on your team who are all giving you a pitying look, and all of a sudden scoops you up bridal style into his strong arms.
"Abort the mission. We are flying back to base. Come on", Poe orders and everyone sets in motion without objection.
Since your cheek is leaning against Poe's shoulder, you can feel his body begin to shiver from the cold as well.
"Poe, you will freeze to death without your jacket", you tell him worriedly, but he does not react to your words, just trying to get you off this planet - more or less - in one piece. Despite not receiving an answer from him, you still press yourself more against him to warm him a little with your body heat.
After a few minutes, and an almost encounter with another squad of stormtroppers, you finally reach the Millennium Falcon and Poe immediately lays you down on the bunk in the Main Hold of the ship. Everyone else starts preparing the Falcon for departure and they leave you two alone.
Poe is already busy wrapping your ankle in bandages while also trying to make it as comfortable for you as possible.
"Babe."
No reaction.
"Poe."
Still no response. He is too concentrated on what he is doing.
"Poe!", you grab his arm as soon as you have the opportunity and forcefully pull him towards you, finally gaining his attention. "It is just a sprained ankle, I think I will survive."
"I know, sweetheart", he sighs and sits down on the bunk, intertwining his hand with yours. "Never scare me like that again, please. You really have to be more careful."
"Says the one who comes back with serious injures after every mission?", you reply, a slight note of sarcasm in your voice.
His warning gaze lands on you, but when he sees your soft smile he cannot help but smile as well.
"All right, you got me there", he chuckles, his thumb caressing the back of your hand as he immediately gets serious again. "Still, I want you to take better care of yourself in the future. It might just be a sprained ankle now, but it could have ended differently."
"I will be more careful, I promise. Come here, you pouty flyboy", you open up your arms, inviting him into a soft hug which he accepts instantly, his warmth surrounding you.
You only move away from each other when you get back to the base, your stupid and unnecessary argument from earlier completely forgotten by now.

You passed each other in the hallway sometimes.
Nobody would have known. Not a single person would have guessed that behind your professional nods and quick glances, that years of history lay untouched between the two of you. Early mornings, filled with rays of pink and yellow sunshine, fingers dancing across bare skin and as you laughed together, revelling in nothing but the highs of pure love. Then there had been the nights; they were undeniably colder, a shadow cast over the galaxy as the darkness forced people to face the horrors of war. You couldn’t see anything, not even a foot in front of you – but you could reach your hand out, and you knew that Poe Dameron would take it. He was there. He was always there.
And then he wasn’t.
You knew it wasn’t his fault, nor was it yours. The Resistance needed both of you, but he’d been the one to call the shots on your relationship – and it had only been a matter of time, really. It was clear that things were going to come to head eventually and Poe had been the one to pull the trigger. You were important to him – perhaps the most paramount thing in his life – but none of it would have mattered if you lost the war. Secretly, he kind of hoped that he could just put a pin in it for later and win you back when the galaxy wasn’t batshit crazy.
Later was now. Poe was a general – your boss, actually – and you were a commander for one of the New Republic fleets. He saw you ten or twenty times a day in passing, chattering with your squad or delivering mission reports. Everything he loved about you was still there; your poise, your professionalism, your biting tongue and wit. And yet, all he got these days was a curt nod or a hope you’re doing well, general.
To give credit where credit was due, Poe had tried to get your attention. He’d made many attempts to win you back without ever actually saying it: you were the first person he promoted after the war, and you always got the good missions. He never chased you up for paperwork and surely, you must have noticed that you were always assigned the most high-tech jets. It felt as though he were screaming into the void, throwing out everything he could and hoping that you would get the message.
But you never did. Or, if you did get it, you were ignoring it. Your icy demeanour never changed, nor did your attitude towards him. Poe witnessed you in action every day – in the air and on the ground, with blasters and with words – and with each passing one, he was certain that he was still in love with you. His distance from you was simply a reminder that he’d hurt you, as though to say congrats, you fucked up! Nice one, asshole.
That brings us to now: specifically, early on a Tuesday morning, outside of your office. Poe, having reached breaking point, finally decided that he was just going to straight up tell you – or maybe he was asking you. Whatever it was, he knew that he had to get his feelings off his chest. If the war had taught him anything, it was that there was no time to roll over and let things pass. Even if you rejected him entirely, at least he could walk away knowing he’d tried.
Taking a deep breath, Poe raised his hand and knocked on your door twice. He knew that your schedule that day was clear – he’d made sure it was. You’d found it a little suspicious that your usual weekly meeting had suddenly been moved but you hadn’t questioned it. You were already running around doing a thousand different things.
‘One second!’ You called. There was a light shuffling sound, and after the fall of your boots against the ground, you swung the door open. ‘Poe – hi! General Dameron, sorry.’
‘I hate when you call me general.’ Poe groaned. (You found that to be quite ironic, because there had been many times when he’d demanded that you call him that – but that probably wasn’t relevant. Moving on.)
‘Right.’ You raised an eyebrow. ‘What can I do for you?’
‘Can we talk?’
‘We’re talking now.’
‘That’s not what I….’ his eyes fell to the floor. For someone who was usually so confident, he’d certainly lost his swagger. ‘Can I just come in?’
You stepped aside, gesturing for Poe to come inside. Your office was quintessentially you; organised, but homely. You had a neat stack of papers on your desk and a few photos lining the walls. Most of them were of you with your friends; you and Rose at Canto Bight, you and Snap beside his X-Wing, you and Leia laughing together. His favourite one, however, was one of you and him with Rey and Finn; it had been taken on Hoth, and you were all bundled up beside Threepio, who was wearing a beanie you had terribly knitted. It had been one of the hardest weeks the Resistance had seen, but you were all stood there with your arms linked, smiling at the camera despite everything.
You were the only thing that had got Poe through the war. He knew it then and he certainly knew it now.
‘You’re in luck.’ You said, dropping into your desk chair. ‘My morning meeting got cancelled.’
‘Yeah, I know.’ Poe sat opposite you. ‘I was the one who moved it.’
You thinned your eyes at him. ‘Why?’
‘Because…look, I’m just gonna give it to you straight.’ He rested his palms on the table in front of you. ‘I’ve been trying for months to get your attention. I’ve been giving you the best missions and the best jets and Finn has been on my ass about it but I was hoping it might get you to look at me.’
‘Poe, I-‘
‘- I know, it’s stupid.’ He continued. He rambled when he was nervous. ‘I thought that it might get you to talk to me again.’
‘I…’ you couldn’t quite find the words. ‘I’m not ignoring you. I’m just treating you like a colleague.’
‘And that’s the worst part!’ Poe shot back. ‘Because…we’re not just colleagues. Every time I look at you, I remember how you used to make me feel and it’s fucking killing me.’
You peered up at him, a small sigh escaping your lips. ‘The promotion.’
‘What?’
‘Was that because I deserved it or because you were trying to win me back?’
‘Shit.’ Poe murmured, heading dropping into his hands.
‘Poe.’ You leant forward, practically growling his name.
‘You know I wouldn’t do that.’ He pushed his hair back, brown eyes finally meeting yours. ‘You deserved that more than anyone.’
‘This is fucking crazy.’ You couldn’t help but laugh in disbelief. ‘You broke my heart six months ago and now you’re here, in my office at 7am, telling me that what I thought was just my good luck has been entirely your doing.’
‘I didn’t know what else to do.’ Poe admitted. ‘I just…I am so fucking in love with you. Hurting you was the stupidest thing I’ve ever done.’
You didn’t mean to falter. It was just that you’d been longing to hear him say for it so long and you hadn’t even realised it. In forcing yourself not to think about him, you hadn’t taken a moment to think about the possibility of getting back together. You didn’t want to let your mind wander in that direction, especially after all the hurt you’d felt the first time.
And now, he’d come in all guns blazing. Classic Poe, really.
‘So why did you do it?’ You quietly asked. ‘Why did you end it in the first place if you’re so in love with me?’
‘I was scared.’ Poe admitted. ‘I felt so helpless that ending it myself made me feel like I had some kind of control.’
‘Hey, Poe?’
He looked up, eyes suddenly full of hope. ‘Yeah?’
‘That’s the stupidest fucking thing I’ve ever heard.’
And then he deflated.
‘I know.’
You shook your head, giving him a small smile. ‘I’ve missed you.’
‘I’ve missed you too.’ He said. ‘So much. I know I see you every day but…I want to be with you. Those weird nods in the hallway and sideways glances just don’t quite do it for me.’
Your initial reaction had been to jump at the chance – to leap across the table and take your lips in his, making up for months of lost time there and then. On the other hand, you had to be realistic. He’d hurt you before and by taking him back, you were giving the power to do it all over again. That was a level of trust you weren’t sure you were ready for.
But it was Poe. It was your Poe – and you knew that no matter what had happened, his intention had never been to hurt you. Rather, it had been to protect you. It was a decision he’d made in catastrophically poor judgement, but the war had made everyone do stupid things. You hadn’t made it out the other side without your fair share of embarrassing stories.
If you did give him another chance – and if it went well? You could have everything. You’d have Poe by your side again (not that he’d ever really left). The future you used to talk about as a distraction from the war could become a reality. You could have your partner-in-crime back, your ride or die.
All it took was you overlooking the fact he’d hurt you.
Slowly reaching your hand out towards his, you intertwined your fingers with Poe’s. They still fit perfectly; warm and snug, as familiar as though you’d been holding one another just yesterday.
‘Dinner. Tomorrow night.’ You said.
Poe jolted up in his seat. ‘Are you serious?’
‘Dead serious.’ You shot back. ‘I’m…I’m a little hesitant, but I know you didn’t mean to hurt me the way you did.’
‘I could never hurt you intentionally.’ His grip on your hands tightened. ‘That doesn’t change the fact I did but I promise – I swear on everything I have – that this will be worth it.’
Requested by anon “Can I request a Poe x stormtrooper! Reader? Like, Finn convinces reader to leave the First Order shortly after he did, and Poe is smitten with her when Finn introduces them to each other? -&”
A/N- again if you guys have other Poe requests, send em!!
Warning- small angst, fluff and characters pining against one another.
——
Time is meant to be endless. But as a stormtrooper there is no promise to live another day, hour or minute.
You’re just meant to live without time (unless when it benefits them), you’re just supposed to fight mindlessly, just live like puppets. Only used and aware when they use you.
Nobody wants to live that life. You don’t want to live that life, but you’re...meant to.
Just meant to work and work, fight and—
In a matter of seconds, at the sight of someone familiar you’d thought you would never see again, you lose your train of thought and stop before him completely baffled.
“FN-2189?”
You blink and part your lips to say his number, but at the sight of two strangers next to him you blink again. Only being able to mutter in disbelief after hearing the familiar sound of a droids chirping coming from under a...trash bin? “FN-2187?!”
A smile slowly attempts to tug on your lips, but part of you is still in disbelief that you were seeing your friend.
“It’s uh Finn now actually.” He announces making you express a lighthearted scoff.
“What are you doing back? You’re supposed to be long gone, not back two days later.” You remark in a louder worried tone. “If they see you they’ll kill you.”
“They won’t see me, we—”
“We d-dont have time for this.” The older man that was with FN—with Finn interrupts.
Finn looks over his shoulder to the man and sighs. “Yeah you’re right.” Finn looks back at you and takes a step towards you. “Come with me.”
“Finn.” The girl behind him calls.
“T-talking and w-w-walking.” The man suggests.
Finn nods and grabs your shoulder to turn you around and take you with him as he continues with whatever it was he and his...friends were here for.
“What are you doing here, Finn?” You probe further, “who are they?”
“The girl is my friend Rose and the guy...well he’s Dj. A man who’s going to help us break into the room where the tracker is to stop them from tracking the resistance.”
“Oh,” you mouth, glancing down at the hidden droid. “The droid is yours?”
“A friends. The resistance fighter who I broke out.”
You hum and continue walking with him even if you are still worried about his intentions. “You better not get caught. You got out, I know you wouldn’t want to be back here.”
“I will.” Finn assures you, “but you’re coming with me. I wanted to bring you with me before, but I couldn’t, but now I can. Come with me. You can fight for the right side, have your own name and be free.”
“I—” you pause and sigh. There's nothing you would want more, but to leave, be something more than a puppet for the first order. But you have to wonder, what if they capture you and imprison you again? Get forced to be the same as you are now. Just another nameless soldier.
“What if they take me again?” You finally manage to say, blinking up to look at him.
“I won’t let that happen.” Finn assures you, “nobody will. I promise.” He offers you a small warm smile that you can’t help but mirror and feel assured. “So what do you say? Do you want to get out of here?”
Your smile pulls into a smirk and you nod. “I do.”
Finally. This was going to be your time to finally be free.
——
Okay perhaps leaving and moments after escaping the First Order didn’t go as smoothly as you’d initially thought (too much wishful thinking on your part) but you got out. You were free. No more strings.
Yet you had to wonder.
“Are you sure it’s okay for me to be here?” You ask Finn once you both finally manage to find a peaceful time after the chaos.
“I’m sure,” he assures you with a kind smile, “they took me in didn’t they?”
You suck air through your teeth and feign a cringed look. “Did they though?”
Finn shoots you a pointed glare and fakes his laugh. Just as he’s about to retort a voice interrupts his thoughts. “Hey.”
Both Finn and you turn to notice a man you had seen many times before. Finn’s friend you assume, but can’t be certain of since there was no downtime for introductions when you first arrived. There wasn’t even time to take everyone in, everything was a rush after you left.
But now that you did have the time, you took a good look at the resistance fighter, noticing he was in fact very handsome and even if from the outside he looked intimidating, his eyes told a different story. They were dark and warm. There was something instantaneously captivating about him.
You can’t help but smile as you greet him. “Hello.”
His eyes drift to you and he blinks repeatedly, letting his lips tug into a half smile and uttering the same words he had said before. Only this time his voice sounded softer. “Hi.”
An amused grin grows on your lips and you surpass the need to laugh at his reaction. Something Finn notices too.
“Poe this is one of my oldest and best friends from the order,” Finn pauses for a brief moment to look at you, smiling to himself as an idea comes to his mind. “Y/N.”
Your eyebrows furrow and you tilt your head to meet his gaze. “Really?”
Finn shrugs, “take it or leave it, I’m not choosing anything else.”
You groan, “fine, I’ll take it.”
Finn rolls his eyes and turns back to his friend. “Anyways as I was saying, y/n meet Poe. The resistance fighter that helped me escape. Without him I don’t know where I’d be.”
Poe scoffs and shakes his head. “You got to give yourself some credit. If it wasn’t for your bravery in helping me break out I wouldn’t be alive.”
Finn scoffs too and just shrugs nonchalantly, noticing Poe’s gaze fall on you again and deciding to make an excuse to apparently do something else for a quick moment. Leaving Poe and you alone.
“So,” Poe breaks the silence, “what did you do when you were part of the first order? Were you a pilot? Or a foot soldier just like Finn?”
You shake your head and find yourself unable to break your gaze away from his. “No, I was a mechanic.”
“Ah, you’re in luck then, I need some help, this ship is falling apart by the second. Could you help me?”
You offer a short nod and begin to follow him to where he needs you, ending up below the floor of the ship and instantly seeing a solution for his problem.
“Lucky I got you here, another second and maybe the ship would’ve stopped in the vacuum space.” Poe tells you smugly.
You scoff and shake your head as you hook a last wire in another input. “Don’t say that or I’ll believe your lies.”
Poe chuckles. “Hey, I only compliment people when I see true amazing skill.”
You climb back up to the floor and show him a smirk, “you’re feeding my ego, it’s a dangerous thing.”
Poe shrugs with a faint smirk on his lips, choosing to change the subject shortly thereafter. “You know how to fly?”
You shake your head and sit across from him, letting your legs dangle over the open gap. “I could pull apart any ship and rebuild it without a need for a blueprint, and maybe even with my eyes closed, but I cannot for the life of me fly a ship. I’ve never had the chance.”
Poe quirks a brow at your surprising answer. “Really? I thought you would? I thought you would know how to do everything considering you’re a stormtrooper.”
You chuckle and shake your head. “That’s the stereotype, but no. I can sorta shoot a blaster, might as well have been born with the damn thing,” you explain, “and shooting is the first thing they teach you, but after that you aren’t taught much else. You get dropped into a station and you’re stuck there.” You shrug, “I’d love to learn though, I’ve always liked the concept of flying in space, feeling the adrenaline that comes with flying.”
Poe grins at looks at you with a soft gaze. Having to blink and express a sigh before he replied to you. “Flying is great and fun if you know how it enjoy it and do it properly.”
You smirk and slightly tilt your head. “Well if you know a great pilot that could teach me, please let me know. I’d love to learn.”
Poe smirks and leans his body closer to you. “I might know one or two.”
As if it had been out of instinct you lean in too, having your gaze briefly fall to his lips before you force yourself to look back at his dark eyes and respond. “Is that so?”
He nods and hums, “Mhmm, for starters,” he remarks smugly, letting his eyes fall to your lips for a brief moment. “I can teach you. I’m a great pilot. It wouldn’t cost you anything either.”
You bite the inside of your cheek and bat your eyelashes. “Really? That’s hard to believe. I mean being a great pilot and all, aren’t you busy?”
Poe shrugs and his smug smile spreads wider, “well I’m making an exception. For a pretty face and a new friend.”
You quirk a brow and again look down at his lips as you lean in again. Smirking as you see Poe cockily lick his lips when he leans in too. Leaving only a couple inches left between the both of you.
“well in that case sign me up. Just let me know when.”
“I could now.” He offers.
You stroke your chin and hum as you pretend to be in deep thought. Answering only after you pull away and stand to your feet. “I can’t right now, I’m busy. The ship needs some fixing. But how about in a more private setting? I tend to learn quicker when it’s just a one on one lesson. Crowds,” you roll out slowly, “distract me.”
Poe scoffs at your actions and chooses to stand up as well, taking a step towards you and choosing to quickly add more in the same soft and low voice. “You name the time and day and it’s a date.”
“Well that depends on you,” you shrug, “when are you free?”
“I’m free tomorrow night, how does that sound?”
You walk forward and stop to look over your shoulder to shoot him a sweet smile. “Sounds like a date.”

“Mirame, amor” (Look at me, love) he reminded you with a mischievous glint in his eyes reflecting like the shine of your juices on his lips.
———————————
“Mira, tan hermosa.” (Look, so beautiful.) He runs his fingers down your body, leaving trails of heat and shivers in their wake and making your body creen into the touch. You’re begging him with your eyes, unable to form words even if you could but there’s no making him move any faster. He’s appreciating your body. Each curve, each dip, each and every inch.
———————————
“Mira como me toques.” (Look how you take me) He practically groans out, driving into you with a deep thrust and roll of his hips.
You force your eyes open to see him above you, curls hanging down and swinging from the movement. The dark, long eyelashes framing his deep, dark, intense eyes. He drops his head to watch again as you follow his stare. Seeing your bodies combine. He enters you, in and out, slowing down and pulling out more now that he knows you’re watching.
Seeing him and feeling him at the same time overloads your senses. His fingers curl under your chin and lift your eyes back to his. He looks at you, then down to your lips, an unspoken desire, before he leans in and captures your lips in his, holding onto them as he continues his worship.
———————————
“Mira.” (Look) Your head snaps up and you hold his eyes - searching.
He knows what he’s doing. What that word means in private. And now he’s using it. Out here in the open. A totally innocent word. A command used frequently.
But the way he’s looking at you, telling you without words, and that smile, it’s holding an offer, promise, and tease all in one.
————————————
“Mírame, mi corazón,” (Look at me, my love.) you breathed out, slightly panting as you wrapped your hand around his neck, tilting his head away from its place kissing your arm.
He looked up at you with desire burning in his eyes, wide and excited, mouth hanging open before turning into a lip-bitten smile, your eyes wide and unable to stop watching as he dragged his tooth, slowly releasing it.
You unconsciously mirrored his movements before leaning down to capture his lips in yours, both groaning into each other’s mouths as a result of the new angle letting him hit a different part of you.
————————————
“¡Mirame piloto, si alguna vez vuelves a hacer algo tan estupido...!” (Look at me, pilot, if you ever do something as stupid as that again....)
The squad peeled their eyes from the floor and glanced at each other. They didn’t have to understand the language to know he got his ass chewed out.
You must’ve been mad because you never addressed anyone in anything other than Basic. Aside from stress-filled curse words muttered under your breath or yelled to the Maker, they never heard it.
You storm away before Poe or anyone else even knows what to say.
Rose nudges him from his stupor.
“Dude, she was crying”
“She was?” his face dropping and heart wrenching.
“¡Amor!” (Love!) Not caring who will hear.
He sees you down the hall against the wall with your head down and hand pinching your nose trying not to cry.
“Amor…” (Love…) he soothes softly, peppering you with kisses.
“Amor, Y/N. Mirame, mi corazón.” (Love, Y/N. Look at me, my love.)
You crack an eye and sniffle through a weak, wavering smile.
“Lo siento mi amor. Lo siento.” (I’m sorry, my love. I’m sorry.)
His eyes are racing, flicking back and forth between yours, trying to decipher the emotion pouring out of them. The reigning emotions, fear and sadness.
“Fue silento... Piense...” (It was silent… I thought…)
He didn’t make you finish the words once he saw your lip quiver and brought your head in close.
“Estoy bien, mi amor. Estoy bien.” (I’m okay, my love. I’m okay.)
You brought your hands around him and grabbed onto his uniform. Your fingers tight and shaking.
“Feel me, I’m here.” he whispered.
Your breathing slowed and he bit back tears of his own. Knowing he caused you this much pain. To break in public was no small feat.
“Why don’t we go lay down?”
You shook your head and pulled away. Red rimmed eyes staring back at him.
“No. I have to go back.” You sniffled and wiped your salt-stained cheeks.
“Luego. Promiso.” (Later. Promise.)
He sighed but then relented with a nod. The least he could do was not fight you anymore.
He gently lifted your chin and kissed you, apologies pouring out from the touch along with the words he wished he could speak.
You pulled him in, giving your all, holding onto his lips like you had thought you’d never get to feel them again.

AU Bonus (Everyone is friends)
“Mira como duro me haces.” (Look how hard you make me.)
He guided your hand to his nearly throbbing bulge hidden beneath the table.
“Now what am I supposed to do with that, amor?” He whispered against the shell of your ear. His lips touching lightly with each word.
You bit your lip, excitement coursing through you as you squeezed your hand and moved it up and down as minimally as you could.
An exaggerated sigh breaks your bubble, and you both look up at a tired Ben across the table.
“I don’t have to read your thoughts to know what you two are up to.”
A sly grin breaks onto Poe’s face while you remove your hand and manage to smile wryly despite the heat flooding your face. The table erupts in teasing laughter from your friends all around you.

‘Well yes with the food, but I meant with this ‘conversation’ where did you want to start?’ Your mouth made an O shape as you stared at the menu. You didn’t really know, maybe you didn’t want to start this topic and just enjoy a night out with Poe.
‘Well, I don’t really know.....’ a shadow fell over your table and you looked up to address the waiter but the words died in your throat as your eyes locked with his heated furious brown gaze.
‘Is this who you’ve been seeing?’ His lips barely moved as his deep voice snarled at you pointing at Poe. Your throat closed up you couldn’t speak and fear kept you rigid in your chair.

A/N: I'm so sorry I cant put a read more on, I'm posting it on mobile!! I was in a mood and this is what came about. It's literally mostly angst. Sorry in advanced. Let's ignore kylo is using the force, I just needed a sad poe gif Hope you like it! 《MASTERLIST》
You were tired. You were sick and tired of it, of the constant arguements, the helpless empty feelings, the pain and worry you always went through. You loved him, you truly did. But you couldn't keep up with it anymore.
Whenever he took off in that X-Wing, there was always a promise attached; don't do anything stupid and don't die. But of course he had to make some risky move and he had to endanger his life even more.
Everytime he'd get back it'd be the same argument. Why he had to take so many risks. Why you couldn't understand. Why this and why that. Sure you'd make up eventually, but the cycle repeats itself when he gets sent on yet another mission.
Tears blurred your vision as you wrote on the datapad. You inhaled a shaky breath and wiped your eyes but it only allowed for more tears to form. You didn't want to do this. But you had to.
You had to. You kept repeating it like a mantra, like it'd make you feel any better. But it did the opposite. Sobs wracked your body making you shake with emotion. You tried to steady your breathing but the lump in your throat wouldn't allow it.
You didn't know how long you were crying. Could've been hours, could've been minutes. You wiped your tear stained face and sat up again to finish the note.
Your eyes burned as more tears threatened to spill again, but you swallowed hard, really trying to compose yourself.
With the last touches of the note, you set the stylus down and looked around the room. So many memories played out before you, good and bad, and for a brief moment you contemplated your decision.
You bit your lip and grabbed the bag with all your stuff already inside. Casting one last glance, you sighed, every single emotion you felt starting to bubble up again. You nodded your head, definite on your decision, and closed the door.
•••
"Hey sweetheart! I'm back! Let me tell you that was one debrief. Can you believe - babe?" Poe looked the room curiously. You'd always greet him at the door with a kiss.
He rounded to the kitchen and saw you weren't there. He set his stuff down and checked the bedroom. Nothing. Panic slowly started seeping it's way into his chest as he couldn't find you anywhere in your shared quarters.
He sped back to the kitchen and checked the datapad for anything. Upon opening it, Poe saw there was a note written.
Poe,
I love you, I hope you know that. Being with you and sharing a life together has been wonderful and a pleasure but I can't keep up with it anymore. I hate the fighting, I hate being upset with you, I hate not having you in my arms.
This is killing me to write this as much as it's killing you to read this. I always thought we'd get married and have kids one day but with our jobs, with you being the best pilot the Resistance has, we can't. Not now at least.
Right now I think it's best we separate for a while and take a break. I'm not sure for how long. Please don't think of this as a final goodbye love because it's not.
One day, when the war is over, we'll see each other again. Hopefully we can start anew and be together and have our happy ending. But for now this how it has to be.
I love you Poe. You'll always be my universe, my stars, my flyboy.
Love,
Y/N/N
His heart pounded harder against his chest as read the note. His head was swimming and his ears started ringing, a small whimper escaping past his lips.
Tears started cascading down his cheeks while he slumped against the cabinets, datapad still in hand. Choked out sobs echoed the room as reread the note over and over.
Curling into himself Poe felt his world shatter. All the arguments you've had just playing out, everything he wanted to tell you but didn't. He tugged at his curls as he kept crying. The situation and reality of this moment punching him straight in the gut.
Hiccups left him as he lifted his head to look at the note once more. You said after the war, you'll see each other again. You could start your lives together again.
His body trembled as he tried to stand, using the counter to support his weight. He set the datapad down and tried to steady his breathing.
When the war is over, he'll get to see you and apologize for everything. He'll get to have you back. He'll get to propose and have that happy ending.
Taking a deep yet shaky breath, Poe held on to that glimmer of hope. He was going to do everything in his power to win the war and not die trying. Because he loves you just as much, as he's not ready to give up on you two just yet.
