The Day The Zebra Lost His Stripes
It was a special day It was time to clean for spring! And the Alphabet Zoo had gone brezerk. The Zebra had lost his stripes. The Ants forgot to march The Bees could no longer buzz And the Chimps hopped like a frog! The day the Zebra lost his stripes During spring cleaning, And the entire Alphabet Zoo went brezerk! The Dogs began helping cats The Elephants lost their trunks And the Flamingos all turned green! The day the Zebra lost his stripes During spring cleaning, And the entire Alphabet Zoo went brezerk! The Grizzly sat down for cards. The Hyena forgot to laugh And the Iguana sang like a bird. The day the Zebra lost his stripes During spring cleaning, And the entire Alphabet Zoo went brezerk! The Jackal became a judge The Kangaroo went back to school And the Lion forgot how to roar! The day the Zebra lost his stripes During spring cleaning, And the entire Alphabet Zoo went brezerk! The Mouse began selling cheese The Nightingale lost her song And the Owl danced the ballet. The day the Zebra lost his stripes During spring cleaning And the entire Alphabet Zoo went brezerk. The Polar Bear opened a chat The Quail took a call And the Raccoon admired a selfie The day the Zebra lost his stripes During spring cleaning, And the entire Alphabet Zoo went brezerk. The Squirrel slept on a fig The Turkey wore white fur And the Umbrellabird opened champagne! The day the Zebra lost his stripes During spring cleaning, And the entire Alphabet Zoo went brezerk! The Vultures dined on the lawn The Walrus knit a wool cap And the X-Ray Tetra became a star The day the Zebra lost his stripes During spring cleaning, And the entire Alphabet Zoo went brezerk! The Yak baked chocolate cookies And the Zebu hailed a cab. But alas! The Alphabet Zoo was clean. The Zebra found his stripes…And the entire Alphabet Zoo went slowly back to normal.
The Verge
On the verge I’ve become a dam With a wall im paying for To protect those below me From drowning in my paranoia.
This plummeting volume Imposes an isolate distance Networks I can’t hack Glancing at the intimidating concrete Carry on in a smoke Deaf and blind Asleep in their recognition.
I’ve become my own barrier The impoundment of cries Is a still stagnant reservoir Providing power for people’s activities And completely taken advantage of.
Stored for every direction I react accordingly on the surface Plain and consistent Suppressed in adherence Used to drench the roots of sympathy I feel in this second suffocated in sad.
I know this because it’s all a blur Like floating in a tomb I’ve lost my senses My bodies a rusty cage Every impact is all the same And there is no difference between Love and hate.

dejame tocarte, luego acariciarte, dejame besarte y la ropa quitarte, dejame tocarte porque se que conmigo te sentirás en otra parte…

I am learning to forgive my body for growing. For healing wrong.

“the most immense thing about beauty is finding it gone.”
— Excerpt From ‘On Love’ by Charles Bukowski
You told me I am beautiful but never said that enough. You told me you love me but never loved me enough. I still remember how you came in my life like a storm and stayed until I believed you would always stay. But storm never stays and so didin't you. Like storm destroy everything you did it too. You ruined my life but never ruined it enough.
