Greetings Simblrverse!!!
As I've mentioned before I'm hoping to get Dominic's BC started relatively soon after the start of the year I just want to get my ducks in a row and be sure everything is ready before I send out a casting call, don't want everybody waiting while I build or plan or whatever the case may be.
Anyways, the point of this post: before I start attacking everyone's ask boxes with questions (waiting until the start of the year so as not to bother anyone during the holidays) was wondering if anyone around who has conducted a BC (or even those who have only participated in one) has any pointers they'd be willing to share? Like how you decide challenges, scoring, keeping organized (OKAY this one especially will be asking a billion questions about), anything really. I've only participated in one BC so my knowledge is quite limited but again I would like to start getting my planning done and would like some sort of idea on what I'm supposed to be doing.
THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE!!!!!
Photos of Dom just for attention lol
Programming? On my Tumblr?
It's more likely than you think >:3
So anyways here's an early tech demo for a lil project I've been working on. I'm making a game in pure C without any external libraries or game engines or whatever, writing everything from the ground up. Why? To see if I could. And also because I hate myself.
This bad boy's got low-latency audio output with a custom audio mixer and WAV file loading, input handling (keyboard + mouse, no controller support yet), and a basic graphics renderer (with BMP file support), as well as some other fun little features. It's built on the Windows API but all the platform code is isolated so that the game can easily ported. And what grand creation shall I make with this? ...Tetris. I'm planning to make a Tetris clone. Lol.
Oh, and the tetris remix you hear in the background? Wrote that myself. Music was never my strongest subject but I am determined to make everything by myself.
That is all.
Hows the readability of this?
I drew a sad Keith as my first semi realistic attempt with digital. I’m not very good with my tablet yet so if you have any pointers I’d love to hear them ❤️
A rough sketch I (hopefully) plan to put through the computer!!
This application for a fellowship position in online organizing is like 10 short essay questions like end me now pls
When I was younger, I could draw fairly well...well enough that I could usually free-hand and create new people...but now it's such a hassle. Anyone have any pointers on how to get back in that game?
