Due to lack of activity in the group, Fiend and I have decided to take actions towards revitalizing the group. This, sadly, includes contacting deviantArt staff to remove our current Founder from her position and replace her with another individual for better or worse, we concluded that this individual will be yours truly.

That being said, any and all members interested in remaining part of this group are advised to hold onto their seats, as there are some major overhauls to be taking place within the group's construction, namely in setting it apart from other groups. Admins! Fiend and I will require your assistance in planning and implementing these changes! Please report to the Admin Area for further information!

Pokeopolis: Mythical Creature meme PREVIEW

this is the meme I've been working on and the reason I've filled your head with the image of a fluffbucket were-Joke. basically this is an exercise to help you know your character a bit better. it requires you to know their zodiac sign, and in some cases, their personality. it may also spark a Activity Check MassCrack RP. c:

Taurus: Dryad - draw your character as a tree/plant spirit. incorporate certain aspects of a plant into their design and make them look like they are a part of that plant. you can pick a plant that looks like them, a plant that somehow represents them, ect. don't just stick some flowers in their hair and call it a day!

Gemini: Faerie - draw your character as any one of several kinds of faerie. there are many different kinds, so you're by no means limited to dainty little pixies! if you're not satisfied with the stereotypical fae, why not do some research? I hear the Unseelie are suitably gnarly...

Cancer: Siren - draw your character as a beautiful tempter. sirens are not mermaids; while they typically do live near oceans and water, they are actually more avian in appearance, often depicted with wings, feathers, and claws. they use their beautiful singing to lure unsuspecting listeners to their doom, often eating them. if your character is already a bird-Pokemon gijinka, incorporate elements of it into their design more. if they're not, pick a bird Pokemon that suits them and roll with that!

Leo: Nephilim - draw your character as one of the unnervingly strong nephilim. nephilim are the offspring of humans and angels, and they're unnaturally tall, strong, and beautiful. some have wings made of magical energy. they are often cold and unsympathetic towards the plights of their human counterparts, so be sure to make them appropriately stoic-looking.

Virgo: Elf - draw your character as one of the 'high fantasy' elves (Tolkein elves, Norse elves (light and dark), WoW elves, etc.). elves typically isolate themselves from other races, preferring to live among themselves in nature.

Libra: Sylph - draw your character as a beauty spirit. sylphs are said to protect those they find beautiful, and they're also rumored to control clouds and mist. they're very vain beings, so be sure to make them appropriately pretty-- and snooty!

Scorpio: Vampires - draw your character as... well, a vampire. again, pretty self-explanatory. vamps are typically depicted as being masters of persuasion and temptation, able to easily control anyone with a weaker mind. any and all variations of vampire are acceptable... especially the scary monstery ones. 

Saggittarius: Centaur - draw your character as a centaur-y version of their Pokemon! obviously this works best with gijinkas based off of quadupedal species, so if your Pokemon is bipedal obvious liberties can be taken.

Capricorn: Satyr - DRAW YOUR CHARACTER AS A DANCEY THING YES. liberties can be taken, since not all species are sufficiently hooved.

Aquarius: Android - draw your character as a robotic version of themself. they can be clanky hunks of junk or sleek, shiny marvels of technology. just do not make them totally normal-looking! give us some indication that they're a robot!

Pisces: Mermaids- draw your character as a mermaid. they're beautiful, shamanistic, and untouchable, teasing and taunting with their beautiful songs but never interfering with other creatures. if they're not already an aquatic, fish-like Pokemon then, like other creatures, pick one that suits them and draw that.

Pokeopolis Universe Alteration: The Brothers

Where Jogeir evolves first, into an Espeon, and gradually takes control of the circus and people begin paying him more and more attention, obviously favoring him over Joke. Joke is overcome by jealousy and under the cover of night begins sabotaging the circus, events leading up to a final confrontation between the two where Joke evolves into an Umbreon and attempts to kill Jogeir.

Joke is defeated, either by their father or Jogeir himself, and for his various crimes against the family disowned and expelled from the circus, forbidden from ever setting foot near it again. He wanders aimlessly, gradually being overtaken by crippling guilt but unable to apologize for his misdeeds, and after several years winds up in Pokeopolis...

... To be reunited with Jogeir. Both brothers are overjoyed and ecstatic to see each other again after so long, and once Jogeir takes full control of the circus, they run it side by side, as equals.

Twisted Universe (AU idea)

the Twisted Universe (or TU! for short) is an AU where a mass, unknown event has corrupted people's mental processes to the point where drastic, sometimes disturbing behaviors, that their Natural Universe (or NU!) counterparts would never consider engaging in, manifest. denizens of the TU are often volatile and violent, some of them reverting to an animal-like mentality in order to survive and evade the AU's other inhabitants.

characters already corrupted and evil in the NU! would most likely have been some of the first to have been killed off after the event, since it might not have affected them or affected them in such a way that they were unable to function properly, and thus were overpowered by the other residents.

another effect would be that certain elements of certain characters that are not often played upon would be brought to light, or manifest in a different way than is usually shown. while, at the core of their being, these characters remain themselves, their outer layers have been corrupted and corroded by either madness or necessity to survive, or in some cases both.

Examples (from Pokeopolis, where this concept originated):

The Good Doctor: Darius Kraye's TU! incarnation, where he wanders the streets of the ruined city looking for victims and assets towards his various medical experiments. The Event caused his thinking to be rewired in such a manner that his perfectionist, envious nature has taken him over completely, resulting in a very possessive and sometimes outright cruel nature. He refuses to let anyone know where all his research leads, but one has to suspect it has to do with immortality.

The Silent Nurse: Joke's TU! incarnation, where for some strange reason he has donned a (female) nurse's garb and has become a mute recluse, hiding away inside the remains of a destroyed hospital. He is fearful and shuns contact with others... or does he? No one has ever made it to the inner reaches of his hospital, so one has to wonder what he keeps hidden in those locked rooms. Mementos from the past, perhaps...?
