He fumbled with his keys for several seconds—scratching in minuscule dents on the lock drunkenly while Levi waited impatiently behind him. After a long night of cocktails and stories with Mike and the others, the two were eager to head home for whatever else that Saturday night had to offer. Erwin got the door open finally, grabbing Levi by his wrist and pulling him over the threshold quickly.

The door shut softly behind them in the same beat that Erwin had his arms wrapped around Levi's smaller frame. He was seeing double—stars wandering in the corners of his vision and stupidly enough he felt more awake now than he had when they left several hours before.

His lips pressed lightly against the side of Levi's neck; the skin there was hot and smooth and eager under the collar of his shirt.

“I shouldn't have had that second whiskey sour.” his voice came out playful with breathy laughs. His fingers gripped suggestively at the small of Levi's back as he stepped in rhythm to a silent beat. The room was so quiet and filled only with the sound of their feet shifting.

Erwin began to nip up the column of Levi's neck, garnishing his skin with the soft jut of his tongue as he made his way to the shell of his ear. His breathing wavered only slightly and in that instant he knew exactly what he wanted. And he wanted it bad.

“Can you put it on?”

"Just trust me," Erwin laughs, leading the blindfolded android slowly into the obscure darkness of his office. Levi's hands in his own, Erwin strokes his fingers with his thumbs squeezes them reassuringly.

"Wait right here," he instructs, and there's a note of giddiness in his voice as he lets go of Levi's hands and turns to push open the normally-unused French doors behind his desk and let in a gust of night wind. He rushes back to gather up Levi's hands in his again, and continue leading him out to the little balcony.

"Okay," Erwin breathes, undoing the makeshift blindfold made from his own silk pocket square and stepping back to allow Levi to take in the sight of a myriad twinkling stars like a scatter of minute diamonds against the backdrop of an inky, indigo night sky.

"I've never been out here, not in the seven years I've ever been in this office," Erwin explains calmly. "Never even looked out here. I've always been so buried in paperwork it's never occurred to me. But yesterday, I was leaning back, stretching, and I saw the window, like I always do. Except this time, it looked different. It looked different and new, and I know the reason it did was because I look at things the way you do, now. I look at things and wonder how much you'd like them, how interesting you'd find them strictly based on nuance and novelty. And somehow everything, everything, seems altered and special and new again."

Erwin moves to stand next to Levi, slipping his hand in his, fingers daring to intertwine with the android's own, and he wonders why he never stopped to watch the stars when his Levi was alive and his.
