Reconstructing a pantheon and it's mythology is a hard and time-consuming work with searching in chronicles, looking up the local folklore and etc etc. It is hard but it's also very rewarding and I would even say it feels very "meditative", even in all that uncertainty and chaos.
It is like getting closer to the Gods, getting to know them better and even if I'm completely aware that I'll never uncover the whole truth, the whole mythology, the whole story, I still feel content with what I'm doing.
I'd even say it's sort of like a prayer, a devotional work that I do for the Gods.
