As a caregiver sometimes I wonder how many other caregivers/mommys/daddys/etc have felt that way since forever.
Like I can remember always wanting to rock my stuffies back and forth, even when I was little. I had stuffies that all had baby time, some were toddlers, some were kids, some infants. At night I’d kiss their heads and read them stories very quietly and comfort them when the lights went out.
And honestly, thinking about it, I did that with people too. I can recall feeling so sad when other people were scared or sad, and I always had this thought in my head when people, even people who were older than me were “just little kids”
In my head everyone sometimes needs someone bigger than them to take care of them. Some of my fondest memories included when my pets, family, friends or others were in need of care, not because they were sad or scared but because I could hold them and be there.
