I'm coming home from my first ever pole dancing class, and it has been one of the most fun nights that I have ever had. Part of it was watching some of my more straightlaced friends just cut loose and get sexy, another part of it was seeing exactly how far I can push myself. Also, I may just very slightly be able to twerk. I'm not good at it, but apparently I have promise. One of my girlfriends and I are planning on signing up for regular classes starting in January, and I'm probably going to end up going to more of the bellydancing classes than anything else, because after all my grandmother is my hero and she's the one who try to teach me how to do that in the first place. Next up, I think I'm probably going to set up my own personal awesome dancing playlist so that I have inspirational music to work out to.

So tonight I had my first pole dancing class, and it was amazingly fun. I went with one of my best friends, and everyone in the class was nice, the instructor was absolutely spectacular, and it was totally a judgment free zone. It was hard and an amazing work out. My shoulders are already super sore. I will definitely be taking more classes though! I felt so confident and sexy. I honestly learned so much in one class and when I didn't get something exactly right, it wasn't frustrating and the instructor gave great advice. It was the best dance experience that I have ever had.

she warned us today was a conditioning class rather than a "learn new moves" class.

sit ups, pull ups, pop moves on the pole, crunch isolation moves, inverted pushups on the pole, and! 

I'm really proud of myself

because my FIRST TIME climbing the pole, i got to the very tip top! I've NEVER. EVER. done that in my life. even as a child I've never climbed a tree, I've never really fussed on the jungle gym. never really climbed the rope in gym class. 

it was AWESOME. and resulted in instant pride and instant BRUISES. 

its exhausting! but I cant wait to get stronger and better at this. 

I know I'm capable of getting in crazy hot shape. this girl to my left in class was gorgeous and so perfectly fit, and really good at the pole moves. I want to tighten up, get better endurance... I'm only 25 years old! nows the time!!

On my way to my pole dancing class at Sugar Dance Studio. I love pole dancing but hate the ashy train rides. No moisture (lotions, body oils), unless you want to slide down the pole lol. My legs look like chalk. O.o
