a song you like with a color in the title
"yellow" by jem (coldplay cover)
"for blue skies" by strays don't sleep
"white houses" by vanessa carlton
a song from the year you were born
"silent all these years" by tori amos
"wish" by nine inch nails
a song that you think everybody should listen to
i'm going to take this as 'a song you think people haven't heard and therefore suggest they go listen to' and pick stuff from the musical theater crowd bc how boring would it be if i start listening songs by the national that i've reblogged repeatedly
"the ballad of sara berry" by ryan scott oliver, sung by powerhouse lindsay mendez
"halfway" by ryan scott oliver, sung by morgan karr and jay armstrong johnson
"two strangers" by kerrigan-lowdermilk, sung by morgan karr
i want to get more nostalgic and keep going but i have established a pattern of threes so. (okay but "who will love me as i am" w/ brian justin crum and kyle dean massey) (annnd alex brightman singing "lost boy" and jay a. johnson singing "the bad years" and wow make me stop. just go watch every cabaret performance i dug in my senior year of high school)
a song you like but think is overplayed
i don't listen to the radio and therefore cannot answer this question??? like. i don't know what gets played. i listen to music p much only on spotify, and run into new stuff via tumblr or fanmixes or night vale weather and the like
also i don't get sick of songs haha so 'overplayed' does not register w/ me.
but i guess: "home" by edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros? like i said i don't get sick of things but. that has had a lot of play in general i think
