i agree but I’m a lil unsure with the idea that n “let it happen" (idk maybe its just the wording) because its hard to say how much control she had over an abuser. we never see her w/l much. But she obviously doesn’t say much about it either way so

by the time she does anything to try to interfere it is too late. she is just as bigoted as lucius and just as nasty and we see that side of her when she and draco run into harry & co. at madam malkins? 

obviously we dont see their family dynamic much at all but what i mean is that if you are witnessing abuse happen, have the power/ability to interfere, and do not??? you are allowing abuse to happen. and wrt lucius and narcissa, the pieces of their dynamic we do see, like the beginning of DH, he defers to her.

fashion pet peeve:

cultural appropriation in fashion is increasingly pissing me off; i have 20% off my next urban outfitters purchase bc it’s my birthday month so i was skimming the offerings on their website and it made me v angry

more on the pet peeve end than the genuine problem end, it annoys me that there are such norms and assumptions about what everyone has or should have in their closets. i read fashion magazines religiously from about age 11-17 and had to stop as i started to realize that they were making me feel bad about myself—not in the oft-cited body image sense, but in that they were telling me to wear jeans, that everyone wore jeans, that there was a perfect pair of jeans out there just waiting for me to find it. they were telling me this about a lot of things. i like fashion blogs much much more, bc while they are often (openly or not) also trying to sell you a thing, there is more of a focus on finding a style that individually suits you. (continuing w/ that example, most of the fashion bloggers i’ve followed do not ever wear blue jeans. how refreshing)

that got a bit more involved than a pet peeve, didn’t it. uhhm. i prefer silver hardware to gold/brass/whatever else, to the point that if something has a gold zipper i won’t buy it, and it always annoys me when i really like a dress or bag or whatever and then the hardware isn’t silver. (i shop online a lot and sometimes i can’t tell at first and then i realize and i’m just so disappointed)

i suppose. my eyes. they are a neat mix of my mom’s and my dad’s and they wear eyeshadow and eyeliner very well, and i have thick dark eyelashes, which is nice

i don't listen to the radio and therefore cannot answer this question??? like. i don't know what gets played. i listen to music p much only on spotify, and run into new stuff via tumblr or fanmixes or night vale weather and the like

also i don't get sick of songs haha so 'overplayed' does not register w/ me.

but i guess: "home" by edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros? like i said i don't get sick of things but. that has had a lot of play in general i think
