lovely customer, probably in his thirties, here all the time, almost always with his little daughter (and they clearly have fun shopping together; it’s very sweet). he is usually wearing at least one item of some kind of fun, often nostalgic pop culture-themed clothing. today he was wearing a Polkaroo shirt which probably won’t mean much to most of you but I LOVED it.
mentioned this to a work friend who’s a few years older than me, and told him I was gonna be singing the Polka Dot Shorts theme for the rest of the afternoon. immediately he went “WHY would you do that to my brain.”
and I had to be like. listen man. I had to inflict this on SOMEONE and most of our coworkers, especially in my department, are too young to remember. I had to make sure someone else would be singing it
