MINORS THIS HAS MENTION OF DIRTY TALK, DO NOT INTEREACT
It started with feeling your hands through his hair...it felt nice to him...a touch so soft he hasn't remembered since before he was turned. Your hands, always tangled in his hair, complementing it because of how he took care of it, "just for you my love..." he would mumbled into your hands, as he kissed the knuckles, lightly nipping then which caused a giggled to escape your lips. The lips he's kissed dozens of times and never got tired of...to him they always tasted like cherries somehow..."how do you get your lips to taste like cherries my love?" He would always ask and you would always responded with. "My little secret my darling."
But he knew this was a dream, a dream he would have to wake up from in the nightfall but he always tried to cherish it as long as he could before his boys woke him up...he'd be a bit irritated at first from it but the boys always pulled a chuckle from him. But they could sense his irritation from waking up and leaving the lovely landscape of that dream. Through their bond, they could get glimpses of the dreams he'd have. Marko wouldn't admit it, but he's seen those hands in his dreams as well; they all have!! Markos being the most vivid. Paul only remembers the scent of the person their dreams, they smelled like fruit and flora to him. It always made him crave it when he awoke; after waking up, he'd always go for a fruit stand on the boardwalk and pick the fruit that they would smell like that evening. Dwayne remembers the eyes...wide, and full of love. The type of eyes that never wavered with guilt. The eyes that were always filled adoration with the person they were ment to be with in front of them. Dwayne tried to describe the eyes to Paul, who he hoped had caught glimpses of them but never did. They all shared the same person in their dreams, wondering what it ment...not knowing that Max might have the answer. They didn't want to bother Max with their dreams, listening to him always caused a snore fest they would say. Maybe it was because his lectures tended to go into details they didn't want to listen to...
David did remember something that Max said though..."remember boys...finding your mate comes in different times..." he can't for the unlife of him remember what the rest of what he said was. Oh well!! David had more important things to do tonight then remember what Max told him and his boys. He got up down from the rafters and begun getting ready for the night, not realizing that there will be a new joining resident of Santa Carla joining.
You hummed as you unpacked the last of your boxes into your new housing apartment. The landlord seemed nice enough to wave the first month's rent since you were down on your luck and had just got a job at a grocery store near the beach itself. Those jobs aren't easy the old lady said while petting her furry companion of a beautiful white Persian cat. Little guy was well taken care of too. She told you that he may stop by here and there when he gets out of her own home, this particular apartment was always one he liked to hang around at. She gave you the house keys and some food to start you off nice and welcomed. She also had a cryptic warning but you couldn't remember what it was because you got distracted by the curlers in her hair trying to uncurl and bounce themselves around. But you do remember she said you can stop by her home and office if you ever needed anything.
After waving her goodbye and gently closing the door, you begun to unpack some clothes to enjoy a night stroll, get a good look at the nightlife you expected to see here and there when you work. You put on a nice loose tank top with some bell bottom jeans; your hair was up in a high ponytail.
You made sure the apartment keys were in your bag before leaving and locked the door, heading toward the famous boardwalk.
It was hectic for anyone new but slow crowd for the boys, scanning around for any prey they can sink their teeth into for dinner. Paul was having the time have his life trying to pick up a blonde woman that was giggling as his jokes, falling for the whispers in her ear. Marko wouldn't lie, but he was getting a little jealous of the woman, he always likes the way Paul rough houses with him when they play but he was a big fan of the way he gained goosebumps from the way Paul whispered the dirty things in his ear...but he was brought out of that when he noticed a change in scent around the crowd. He begun to sniff the air, sneaking away from his pack to follow the sweet aroma...he could paint it with the way this scent was...a sweet honey mixed into what he could describe as cherries in spring time. He pushed and shoved absent-mindedly, trying his hardest to get to the scent, flashes of his dreams were coming to his mind the closer he got to the source. "C'mon...c'mon give me what I'm looki-" he was cut off by the source. He got irritated at first until he looked straight at who it belonged to...here he was ready to punch the nose of whoever it was that bumped into his searching frenzy only to actually find her...you!!
You raised your hands immediately to apologize and try to calm the tense boy up but was abruptly stopped when he carefully grabbed your hands; you blushed at the way he admired them.
The caresses were gently, like he was searching for something.
"Excuse me...are you okay?" You asked causing him to come out of his trance and look at you and the pace he nodded made you swear he was full of sugar, but it made you giggle some.
That giggle...it sounded like chimes when the wind is gentle, it tingled his ears, he shuddered at the way it calmed his nerves. He only ever felt this way when it came to Paul and the pack...this had to be the girl they've seen in their dreams...
You removed your hand from his touch and waved to him as you went around with the flow of the crowd. "Sorry for bumping into you!!" You had called out before disappearing into the crowd but your scent never leaving, if anything coaxing him to follow you.
He was beginning tk before he felt a hand on his shoulder which caused his head to snap to the owner. It was Paul and the pack was with him.
"Marko where'd you go to in such a hurry?" David had asked. He was a bit surprised that Marko just left them like that, usually they would find him with blood over his knuckles whenever that happened. But that wasn't the case, David noticed the way markos eyes were blown wide, like a cat finding something that was interesting or playful. His unliving blood ran colder then what it already was when he heard the words Marko uttered. "She's here..."
Normal wasn’t the easiest thing for the boys to maintain. Every time that boy... what’s his name? Michael? Every time that boy in transition looks at you, stands too close or tries to flirt, you can see murderous intent in all of their eyes.
You had to forbid them from killing him. Keeping Star’s love interest alive is the least you could do for putting her in danger and using her body. You weren’t sure if they were going to listen to you but so far, the kid is still alive. He liked to push his luck, though.
Out on the pier the boys stuck together and caused mischief knowing Max was always watching. People talked about them often, so everything they did somehow reached Max’s ears. That meant they couldn’t suddenly monopolize your attention or cling to you like they wanted. You also had to wander around and seem aloof to everything. It was a rough few days before the full moon.
In the cave, away from prying eyes, was a totally different story. Once it was just the boys, you, Michael and the small child, their true nature came out. They refused to allow Michael within three feet of you, Laddie was still welcome for cuddles, but he was a small child not a hormonal teenager.
“Star, is everything alright?” Michael asks, walking along the beach with you.
“Why would something be wrong?” You ask, glancing at him. He stops, giving you a strange look.
“I know I haven’t been around for a while, but you used to hate the other guys. They made you uncomfortable and they’re controlling but now you’re all over them. What’s going on?”
“There’s a lot of things you don’t understand,” You try to vaguely explain to him. “Just give me some time, alright?” You ask, trying your best to be flirtatious but it felt wrong. You grabbed his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze while stepping close to him. Just like that you could tell you had him wrapped around your finger. Deep down men are all the same. A flirty smile, soft words, and a little touch can go a long way. “Everything will be better after the full moon but until then just keep quiet and be patient... Can you do that for me?” Michael nods mutely. “Good,” You perk, kissing his cheek before withdrawing from him completely.
“Hey Star! Let’s go!” David shouts from the road. You give Michael another playful wink to help calm him down before skipping over to your mate. You climb onto the back of his bike, holding him close. The instant your secured around him he takes off with the boys in tow leaving Michael behind in their dust.
When the five of you reach your little piece of home they turn the bikes off, coming to your side in an instant. Normally, they’d spend the entire night terrorizing the town but until they could do that openly with you by their side, they were always eager to return home.
“If you touch him again, I won’t care that you want to keep him alive for Star. I’ll slaughter him where he stands,” David says, turning to face you after climbing off the bike.
“Even if it’s in the middle of the pier? With the whole town watching?” You wonder, stepping toe-to-toe with him. Your eyes remained locked together, your hand lifting and sliding past his jacket to touch his chest.
You hum when one of your boys, your beautiful Paul, presses up against your back. His large hands grip your hips, and he rubs against you.
“I’ll string him on top of the Ferris wheel so that everyone can have a good view of what happens when you touch our girl,” David vows, pinching your chin. You hum, arching into him, Paul squeezing your tighter.
“Sexy...” You whisper. “Unnecessary but sexy,” You comment, sending him a wink before slipping from their arms. David growls following after you as Paul hops to your side, his arm draping around your neck. They both wanted nothing more than to grab you, shove you against the nearest wall and fight for dominance knowing you’d never just submit to either of them.
If only you weren’t in Stars body...
You were beginning to hate being in this body. You missed yourself and you hate not being able to be more intimate with the boys. They refused to go any further than innocent touches and intense cuddling while you’re in Star. You appreciated the sentiment, but you haven’t been with anybody since you left them, and you were becoming impatient.
Eventually the night of the full moon came. You were beyond nervous, doubtful thoughts creeping into your mind, but you knew you had to ignore them. You had to try and free them from Max - you’ve been successful before you can do this.
But you’ve never gone against a vampire like Max. He’s the strongest one you’ve ever encountered, not to mention this one is personal with everything on the line. You’ll have to perform the spell quickly knowing that he’ll sense the spell in motion the instant you start.
“Hey, flower,” Marko whispers, coming in front of you, gently pulling you from your thoughts. He gives you a smile, resting his hands on your hips. “You doing, ok?”
“I’m scared,” You whisper, confiding in him. He nods slowly, lifting a hand to caress the side of your face.
“Yeah, we are too,” He laughs a bit. You huff, laying your head on his shoulder. “We have faith in you. All you gotta do is preform your witchy woo and let us handle anything else,”
“What if I fail?” You whisper, clutching him tighter. He doesn’t hesitate to hold you closer, his head rubbing against yours.
“This is our all or nothing, princess. No matter what, we’re not dealing with Max ever again. If we fail, then we’ll just find each other in another life,” Marko shrugs. “We’ll have our happily ever after,” He promises.
“Thank you, Marko,” You whisper, giving him one last squeeze. He presses a soft kiss on your forehead.
“Do you have everything you need?” Dwayne asks, coming up to you only when you pull from Marko not wanting to interrupt any comfort you need.
“Yes,” You nod, adjusting your bag. “I’ve scouted a spot in the woods. We should get going. The spell will take a while and Max will know when I start... He’ll try to stop it,”
“We’ve got you, babe,” Marko promises, Paul coming up behind you.
“Just a couple more hours and we’re free,” Paul whispers in your ear. “And you can return to your body, and we’ll be free to truly celebrate our reunion. That sound good, baby?”
“Perfect,” You whisper, leaning back against him. “Come on,” You mutter, pulling from Paul leading your boys out of the cave. You all climbed onto the bikes, David pulling you towards his like always - he loved to hog you when you all road the bikes.
You directed them away from the boardwalk and beach, deep into the forest. Eventually you ditched the dirt bikes and continued to lead them to the spot you had found.
“So, how does this work?” David asks when you reached your destination.
“How this works is that I perform the spell and you stay out of my way and be quiet,” You state with a sly grin on your face. The other three grin having remembered what you were like when performing spells. You didn’t like to be interrupted.
You drew a circle with specific symbols inside before lighting six fires. One for each of your boys, one for yourself, and one for Max. You then took out the vials of blood and clippings of hair.
“Are those ours?” Paul couldn’t help but to ask. You hummed.
“And when did you get them?” David asks, crossing his arms.
“You are heavy sleepers,” You answered with a smirk.
“Sick,” Marko grinned, excited to see you in action again.
“Now, when I burn these, you’ll feel a sensation. I’m binding all of us to this spell and I’ll be able to cut the tether Max has on us all. When I do Max’s, he’ll instantly know what’s going on,” You warn.
“We’ll be ready for him,” Paul assures you, the other hissing in agreement.
“Alright then,” You whisper. “Let the games begin,”
One by one you bind the boys to the spell, the fires roaring when you add the blood and hair. You then do yourself, saving Max for last. You give them each a look, only when they silently encourage you do you complete the binding.
From there you close your eyes and whisper the incantations as quickly and precisely as you can. You hold your hands over the fires, the flames becoming warmer by the second.
“He’s coming,” You whisper, sensing your brother on the move. The boys perk in alert. “He knows where we are,”
“Keep going,” Dwayne quickly urges, sensing the spell dying out as your attention diverts. “Trust us to handle this, just break the bond,”
“We’ll protect you,” David vows.
“Don’t get yourselves killed or this will be all for naught,” You whisper, opening your eyes for a moment.
“Trust us,” Dwayne urges. You give a sigh and a nod before returning to the spell.
“I knew something was going on,” Max says, arriving to the field you have chosen. “Looks like my sister has returned and is already getting to work,”
“We won’t be your slaves anymore,” Paul snarls. Max smirks, letting out a laugh.
“And what makes you think you’ll escape from me?” He asks. “You really think a little spell is going to break the sire bond?”
“You’ve always underestimated her,” David said.
“On the contrary, I’ve always known what she’s capable of. I knew she’d return for you all eventually and when you guys started to act differently, Star included, I knew she had returned,” Max said. “My only saving grace was the fact that there was a couple of days between her arrival and the full moon, giving me time to prepare for whatever she had planned,”
“You’re too late,” Marko says bravely.
“We’re not letting you near her,” David states, bringing Max’s attention back to him. “And soon she’ll be done with the spell, and it’ll be us against you. And admit it, old man, you’re out of practice,”
“I can admit that, but it seems that you’ve underestimated me, David. What a pity,” Max whispers. The boy’s glance at themselves before spinning around when they heard your gasp loudly.
You’re kneeling on the ground, hunched over with your hand covering your side. The scent of blood fills their noses as your side begins to bleed. Paul races to your side but Dwayne stops him short.
“Let me go!” Paul snarls.
“If you break the circle the spell will be interrupted and she’ll have to start over,” Dwayne snarls in his ear.
“What’s happening to her?” Marko asks, frantically standing on the edge of the border.
“You’re all so focused on keeping me from breaking the circle that none of you have thought to protect her true body. It’s open for the taking, her protection spell was easy to break once she begun this ritual,”
“Fuck,” Paul curses, prepared to leave the forest and get to your body but then Max’s stupid demon dog arrived with a handful of fresh vampires.
“So, you all can make the decision between racing for her true body and maybe saving her from death or staying here and try to keep us all out of that circle. Either way, that spell isn’t going to be completed,”
Their attention returns to you when you scream, falling onto your back. More wounds make themselves known, killing you slowly.
Marko lashes out first, killing the first newborn vampire beside him. This triggers the fighting, all four of them desperately keeping the vampires away from your circle.
Amazingly, through your pain, you try to continue the spell. It works slowly which makes Max all the more desperate to stop you.
“We have to get to her body!” Paul shouts, ripping a random man’s head off.
“Marko!” David shouts. “You’re the fastest, go!” He orders. Marko snarls kicking the demon dog away from him and across the forest before jumping into the air.
“Do not let him reach her!” Max shouted orders. A few vampires manage to get past the boys, but they trusted Marko to handle them.
“I don’t have much left,” You whisper, feeling your energy wane. Dwayne turns from the fighting and kneels as close to you as possible.
“Save your energy, princess,” Dwayne whispers. “You staying alive is much more important than completing this spell,”
“Do you really think he’ll let us live after this?” You whisper, pulling yourself closer to him. Neither of you break the circle. “This chance is all we have,” Dwayne huffs, whining slightly in frustration.
“Is there anything we can do?” He asks, keeping his eyes on you as you look past him to Paul and David, both of whom have finished off the rest of the vampires and are taking on Max.
“Kill him the instant this spell is over,” you tell him.
“With pleasure,” He snarls, with a sadistic grin. “Give it your all, baby,”
You nod tiredly watching him turn to his brothers and aiding them in their fight. You muster up as much energy as you can and begin the spell once more. You can feel the end of the spell coming. You’re so close and even as you feel another wound appearing on your back you push to the end.
When the spell is complete the fires all go out at once. When the sudden darkness appears, everyone pauses. They all stare at you, the moon light shining brightly.
“It’s done,” You whisper. “Kill him,” You snarl. They boys don’t bother holding back, tearing into Max as you collapse onto the forest floor.
When you awake, you’re lying on the bed inside the cave. Your entire body is stiff, and your head feels like it’s splitting open. You don’t recall what made you feel this way at first but as you sit up and massage your skull the memories slowly return.
“Y/n?” Marko asks, hesitantly. Your eyes open and turn to look at him. He’s standing a few feet, looking unsure as if he wasn’t convinced you were you.
“Is he dead? Did it work?” You ask, your heart hammering in your chest. The second it takes for him to reply is the most intense moment you remember experiencing; a million possibilities race through your mind causing you to almost miss his answer.
“He’s gone, flower... You did it,” Marko reassures you with the widest grin. Your head slowly processes his words.
“He’s gone...” You whisper. “He’s really gone...”
In a way you couldn’t believe it. You don’t remember a moment of your life where Max wasn’t controlling the way you lived. Even when you disappeared, he had a hold of you through your mates. You’ve never experienced freedom before and now that you suddenly had it... what were you going to do?
“Y/n!” Paul shouts, shoving past Marko practically leaping onto the bed. You laugh forgetting about your soreness and headache as the happiness of your success takes over.
Paul shoves you onto you back and connects his lips with yours. Your arm wrap around his back, your nails clawing at him desperately. Paul moan slipping between your legs, grinding against you needily.
It’s only when he pulls away - more like when Marko rips him off of you so that he could get a kiss - did you realize you’re in your original body. You didn’t know where Star was, and you had every intention to ask about her but then Marko was kissing you and you easily got sidetracked.
“I’m so fucking proud of you,” Marko whispers against your lips.
“We missed you so much,” Paul adds, lying beside you, his lips going to your neck.
“Star?” You manage to get out, though you struggled to focus as your two boys groped, grinded, and kissed every inch of your body while pulling at your clothes.
“At Michaels safe and sound,” David assures you. Your eyes go to the end of the bed seeing David watching with lust filled eyes and Dwayne beside him.
“They have Laddie with them. All human,” Dwayne continues, pushing Marko to the side so he could climb on top of you. “And now Max is gone and you’re back in your body... and we have you all to ourselves,”
“It’s been too long,” You whine, arching into him begging for his touch, his kiss, his anything. Unable to hold himself back, he gives you both what you desperately need - a sweet yet borderline pornographic kiss meant to stake a claim more than anything.
Dwayne straddles your hips and leans back. You chase after him, not wanting to break the addicting kiss. David slips behind you, grabbing a fist full of hair (if you have the hair for it otherwise, he grabs your chin and forcefully turns your head to him) and pulls you back against him stealing your lips from Dwayne.
With Dwayne in your lap, David at your back, and Marko and Paul at your sides you feel more complete than you’ve ever felt before. The loneliness and longing you’ve felt throughout the years are finally over. Now that you have them, and your freedom, you’ll never give either up.
Summary: You’ve returned to your family in the disguise of their coven mate Star in a mission to finally destroy Max.

“For the past week Star has had this reoccurring dream. At first, she had trouble remembering it when she woke up but now it was clear to her. Well, the dream was clear but it’s meaning was still lost on her.
The dream always took place just outside of Santa Carla. There’s this beautiful girl with alluring eyes and a sweet smile. Everything about her is inviting. When Star wakes up all she wants is to meet this woman. Every hour she’s awake there’s this urge to leave Santa Carla in search for her but she can’t be real right? It’s just a dream.
She’s thought about confiding in one of the boys but always brushes the idea off. They hardly cared about her, so why would they care about what’s going on in her mind?
By the middle of the second week Star can’t hold back anymore. She just has to go to this spot she’s been dreaming about. She needs to meet this woman.
It’s hard to leave Santa Carla. Despite the urge to find this woman Santa Carla will always have a leash on her. A pull that keeps her from running away that gets stronger every time she gets close to the border of the small town. But tonight, the need to find this woman overpowers the pull to stay in town.
When Star finally arrives, she can’t help but feel a little bit silly. There’s no one around. It’s just her, the trees, and the ocean. You could see the pier in the distance and faintly hear the screaming of those on the rollercoasters.
What was she thinking? Of course, the woman doesn’t exist. It’s just a figment of her imagination.
“I was wondering how much longer I would have to wait for you to come find me,”
Star swirls around. She’s met with darkness. Great, Star thinks, now I’m hearing things.
“You’re not hearing things,” The voice reassures her. There’s a pause before the voice continues. “I just have to be certain you’re alone,” It whispers.
“I am,” Star says, her eyes surveying her surroundings. “Who are you?” She asks, her voice kind and welcoming. She hopes to coax the person out of their hiding spot.
“Someone who can help,” it says vaguely. “Someone who can help you escape Max,” it whispers from behind her. This time, when Star spins around, there’s a woman.
It’s you; the woman from her dreams. Your eyes are just as captivating and smile every bit as inviting as Star remembers. Within seconds Star feels as if she can truly trust you but she forces herself to be weary since the last person she trusted changed her life for the worse.
“Who are you?” Star asks again, her voice half demanding half curious.
“Y/n,” You introduce yourself. You take in her appearance. She’s beautiful, you won’t deny that. Beautiful with a gentle heart. She doesn’t exactly seem like your mate’s type, but you can’t help but to wonder; after all the years you’ve been gone have, they found someone to fill the void you left?
“I’ve dreamed of you,” She whispers. “A-and of this place!” She adds quickly. “What is this? I don’t understand,” Star groans, running a frustrated hand through her hair.
“Of course, you dreamed of me and this place... How else was I supposed to get you to come meet me here?” You ask, tilting your head. Star’s eyebrows pinch together as the confusion only grows.
“Who are you?!” She snaps stepping away from you feeling fear creep up her spine.
“That answer is more complicated than you realize,” You state, fiddling with your thumbs. “I guess I should start off with the fact that I’m Max’s sister,” Star’s jaw drops.
“Max?” Star deadpans staring at you.
“Unfortunately, yes,” You nod with a tight-lipped grin. “I understand that he’s in the process of forcing you into vampirism,” You observe. Star becomes visibly uncomfortable, and you know you hit the hammer on the head. “I want to prevent that. I want to give you your life back,”
“That’s not possible,” Star whispers, her gaze turning to the ocean. You notice that despite her being in the in between stage of vampirism she has come to terms with what she believes to be the inevitable.
“It is,” you tell her gently. You move to her side and gently grab her hand bringing her attention back to you. “I can return your humanity to you. You can leave this place and never have to look over your shoulder again,” You promise.
“They’ll never let me go,” She whispers, her eyes misting over. You release a soft sigh and cup her cheek as if you were a mother comforting a child.
“They will,” you assure her. “But this isn’t something I can do alone. I will need your help. I will need you to be strong and very brave. You must do everything I tell you. Put your trust in me and you will have your freedom,” You vow.
“Tell me how,” Star says, you pull your hands from her. “How is it possible?... And what do I need to do?”
“When a sire dies any person that has started the transition but has yet to complete it will return to their mortal form,” You explain to her. “You and that precious child are not fully fledged vampires yet. Once Max dies, you both will be free,” You promise.
“And Michael?” She asks. “He will be free as well, right?”
“Michael?” You ask, frowning your eyebrows.
“He’s been hanging around the boys for a while,” She explains. “Max wants him and his family,” Your eyes darken as you instantly recognize Max’s fucked up plan. It wouldn’t be the first time he’s attempted this but you know it will be the last.
“As long as he doesn’t complete the transition then yes, he will be fine,” you reassure her. Star visibly relaxes and lets out a long sigh. She nibbles at her lips hesitant to ask her question. You lightly encourage her.
“What about the others? The boys?” She asks.
“What are they to you?” You can’t help but to ask. Star nibbles at her lip a little harder.
“It’s complicated,” She whispers. You fight to stay calm. You didn’t want to scare her off, but you also feared her explanation. You knew you had no right to be possessive, but you couldn’t help it.
“For this to work you need to trust me,” you say. “I need to be ready for everything. Tell me,” You reach for her hand and gently take it into yours once again. “What exactly are they to you?”
“Ever since I joined them, they’ve been protective but not exactly kind. There’re nights where at least one of them will seek me out for... comfort,” She explains. You lower your gaze to hide the anger but keep your grip on her light and gentle.
“Comfort... how?” You whisper your question wondering if you wanted the answer.
“Some night they just needed someone... to hold them I guess.” Star shrugs. Your eyes snap up. “They say my scent comforts them but they won’t tell me why. Then afterwards they usually avoid me... Like I said, it’s complicated.”
You subtly take in a whiff of her scent. You smell faint traces of vanilla and jasmine. Your heart flutters as you recognize the scents. It’s the same scents that you used to wear. It’s the same scents you still wear. They’re much more subtle on her compared to you but you can understand how they take comfort in her.
“So, what will happen to them?” Star asks breaking you from your thoughts. “They’re vampires, not in transition,”
“I’m going to break the bond between them and Max,” You explain. “I’m going to free them and once Max no longer has a hold on anyone, I’m going to rip him limb from limb,” You whisper. Star feels her heart stop. Even through your voice is soft she can sense the danger. She knows you’re a predator. A predator that has been hunting their pray for a long time.
“What do you need from me?” She asks.
“Your body,” You state. Her mouth drops again. “Max will know the instant I walk into town, and everything will be for nothing. So, I want to possess your body for a short while and use it to get close to Max,”
“And if you fail?” Star asks.
“Then we’re all dead,” you tell her. “If you want your life back. If you want your freedom and the child’s freedom and the same for Michael, then you must trust me. If you don’t then things will only become much worse for you. Centuries trapped as Max’s little slave, forced to sleep during the day in fear of being burned alive, and killing the innocent just for your survival. Could you live a life like that?” You ask, fully sympathetic and understanding. You’ve been in her position more than once. You understood it was hard to take a stand against Max. You understood.
“No,” Star whispers, shaking her head.
“You won’t remember nor feel anything. I’ll be in complete control,” You assure her. You step closer and raise your hand. “It’ll be a peaceful sleep,” She stares at your fingers tensely. “Please, trust me,” You beg. Star hesitantly nods and it’s enough for you.
With a touch of your finger on her forehead the transference begins. Both of your bodies are transported back to the hotel you had been staying at. The room is spelled so that none, other than you and Star, can enter. By the time the transportation is complete your abilities and consciousness are in Star’s body.
Your original body lays peacefully on one of the beds. You check yourself in the mirror. You take a moment to get used to this body before returning to Santa Carla.
When you see your boys for the first time in centuries, they’re on bikes. Of course, they look the same but different as they adapt to the current times and style. They still look deliciously attractive. All you want to do is jump their bones and ravage them for the next decade, but you can’t allow yourself to become distracted now. Not when you’re so close to your own freedom with your mates.
Still, you can’t help but to watch them. David’s smoking on his bike being the strong silent type. Marko and Paul are teasing each other playfully and sexually. Neither of them cared about being in public. Dwayne was watching them form his bike and would occasionally lick his lips.
“Star!” A child shouts and races towards you. You jump startled from your thoughts. All the boy’s glance in your direction but only David holds his gaze. You awkwardly greet the child chiding yourself for not knowing his name. “Where were you?” He asks, grabbing you hand and dragging you to the boys.
“Yes, Star, where were you?” David asks condescendingly. You almost forget to answer. You relish the sound of his voice and the smell of all their scents reaching your nose.
“Oh-uh, went sightseeing,” The excuse was pathetic, and you wonder if you’d be able to trick them that you’re Star. You’ve always been a shit liar when it comes to the four of them. You figured as long as you could fool Max long enough to be able to complete the spell then all would be fine.
“Sightseeing?” David deadpans. You hum rocking on your heels.
“Found a new spot, lost track of time,” You shrug, forcing yourself to look away from him. Of course, your eyes immediately go to Dwayne. He’s eyeing you like he had when you first met him, and you wonder if he can see through this illusion as well.
David just hums and you know he’s suspicious. Looking away from Dwayne your eyes linger on Paul and Marko. It’s like you never showed up, they’re too engrossed with each other. Perhaps your lustful staring isn’t something normal for Star because if anything it only makes David but Dwayne more suspicious of you.
“Let’s go,” David decides. The child jumps behind Dwayne and Marko reluctantly leaves Paul to get on his own bike. “Star,” David snips. You instantly look back to him. If you were you, you would have smacked him for using such a tone but all you did was climb behind him.
When they took off you wrapped your arms around David’s waist. The other boys hooted and hollered but all you could do was hold onto David. You didn’t even realize you were nuzzling him but luckily Dvid remained silent.
The last few centuries have been unbearably lonely and painful. You and Ezekiel had traveled the world helping vampire escape their sires. You worked to improve the spell. Unfortunately, a lot of vampires died before you could perfect it.
It wasn’t until a few decades ago did you finally figure out what was wrong. Once the spell worked you and your surrogate father spent the rest of the time searching for Max and your mates.
You were so close to having everything you wanted when death finally caught up to Ezekiel. He had held on for so long. He was so desperate to see you free and happy. All you could do is promise him that your dreams of happiness would come true. You hoped that wherever his soul resides that he will see it happen.
Your grip around David tightened and still he didn’t say anything. He let you hold onto him until you reached their spot. The first night went as smoothly as you could expect. David and Dawyne were suspicious while Marko and Paul were oblivious.
You interacted with the child while subtly eavesdropping on David and Dwayne. Star wouldn’t be able to hear them but for you it was as if they were talking beside you. They didn’t know why you were acting different but they were determined to figure it out.
You knew you had to work quickly to get the spell done. It wouldn’t be easy. You would need not only locks of their hair but vials of their blood. You figured you would be able to get their hair and blood fairly easy; it was Max you had to be cautious of. His hair and blood are required as well.
The morning everyone went to bed without any interrogation. You laid in Star’s bed with the child cuddled up to you. You threaded your fingers through his hair soothingly. You waited until you knew everyone was dead asleep before slipping off the mattress.
Despite the fact that Star is in transition you weren’t. Your magic and vampirism followed you when the transference completed. This allows you to have all of your strengths and stealthiness that Star wouldn’t normally have.
Grabbing clippers from your bag you sneak into the part of the cave that the boys are resting. You were grateful they had taken on the habit of sleeping upside down. Made snipping some hair from them easier.
When you prepared for extracting some blood you whispered a spell to help them fall into an even deeper sleep. When you had enough blood, you stashed everything away and slipped out into the daylight.
You walked into the heart of Santa Carla. You easily blended in with the crowd staying unnoticed. It didn’t take long to track you brother. When you saw him, you found yourself frozen. Even after all these years he still terrifies you to your core.
“I wish you were here,” You whisper, thinking of Ezekiel. “I need your strength,” Even though Ezekiel is gone you channeled his courage and strived forward. You slipped into his shop and slowly gained the confidence to approach him.
“Star,” He greets with a smile. “And what are you doing here?” He asks. You can hear the warning in his tone.
“I know I’ve been difficult,” you say, lowering your eyes. “I wanted to... apologize,”
“It’s alright, my dear, I understand,” Max says, placing a heavy hand on your shoulder. You fight the urge to flinch and tremble. You refused to be the scared little girl. You were so close to getting your revenge and freedom. You just had to be strong for a little longer.
It wasn’t hard to bring tears to your eyes, but it was difficult to embrace him. You knew all Max desired was a family. Seeing Star finally come around and accept him as a father figure would be a dream come true. You just had to be careful not to fall into his trap.
“Everything’s going to be alright,” He promises. “There, there,” He pats your back. “You know what you need to do, and everything will fall into place,” He mutters.
“I do,” You whisper, nodding. “I just wanted to talk to you first,” You mutter.
“And I’m glad you did,” Max whispers as you pull back. “Now, run along and I’ll check on you later,” he tells you. You nod stepping towards the door. You shove the locks of hair you had stolen into your pocket.
Before you walk out the door you make eye contact with a boy. A flash of color glides over your eyes before the same happens to his. A second later an unexplainable rage takes control of the human boy.
He lashes out at his friends and a brawl takes place. Max instantly interferes but is cut with a knife before he can break up the fight. Once the boys are thrown out you rush to his sigh feigning concern. You bring a napkin to his cup and dab the blood away.
“Are you alright?”
“I’m fine Star, they can’t harm me you know that” He comforts, patting your head. You give him a small smile before giving his cheek a kiss and leaving the store.
You walk a few blocks before dipping into an alley. You lean against the wall and begin to breathe heavily. You tremble so badly you fall to the ground. You take in quick short breaths while hugging yourself.
“Star?”
Your head whips up and towards a boy. He races towards you before kneeling. He takes your face in his hands and you instinctively pull from him. He looks at you strangely but respects your distance.
“What’s wrong? What happened?”
“Nothing,” You hiss. It another few seconds before you compose yourself. You stand up and brush yourself off. “What do you want?” You ask.
“I was looking for you,” he says, following you out into the street.
“Yeah, well I’m going to be busy for a while so don’t bother,” you tell him.
“Star, what’s wrong?” He asks. When you keep walking, he grabs your wrist and spins your around. You snarl and slam him against the wall.
“Don’t touch me,” You snap. He lifts his hands in surrender. You huff and let him go. “Look, everything will make sense soon but for the time being do yourself a favor and make yourself scarce.”
“What’s going on?” He pesters. “Whatever it is, I can help,” You laugh.
“No, trust me, you can’t,” You shake your head at his naivety. “Just stay out of my way and everything will be fine,” You promise.
“You’re not making any sense,” Michael mutters. You sigh and turn around forcing him to stop walking abruptly.
“Look, you got yourself into some deep shit messing with Max and the boys. I’m trying to help not only you out but myself as well. In order to do that I need you to trust me and stay out of my way,” you tell him. “Give me a couple of days and everything will be fine,”
Before he could reply you’re disappearing into the crowd again. You return back to the cave with a couple of hours to spare. You grab all the samples and lay them out on the ground.
You look at the napkin with Max’s blood on it. You hope its enough blood. You knew you wouldn’t be able to get more without raising suspicion. Everything else was perfect. All you had to do is wait for the full moon. Which isn’t for a few nights.
You just had to survive another night with your mates.
You contemplated telling them who you were. You considered cluing them in on the plan. Only the risks were too high. They were high already but if they knew the risk level would raise.
It’s not that you didn’t trust them. You trusted them with your heart, your body, your very soul. You just couldn’t risk Max finding out about the plan. If your mates knew and couldn’t keep Max out of their mind, then the jig would be up. you had to prevent Max from finding out. It killed you to keep this from them, but they would just have to understand.
That was the main reason you didn’t tell them. The other reason was much more selfish. You left without a word. You didn’t say goodbye, you didn’t promise them your return, you just abandoned them. You feared they wouldn’t trust you and that they wouldn’t love you anymore.
You had to prepare yourself that they wouldn’t want you once this was over. You would stay true to your word and give them their freedom. Once they were free, they could do as they please. You just hoped they’d want to spend the rest of eternity with you.
“What is all of this?”
You curse when you see the kid watching you. You were amazed with his ability to sneak up on you. You began to put everything away and ignore his stare.
“Nothing you need to worry about,” You say.
“What doesn’t he need to worry about?” Paul asks, rubbing his eyes as he saunters into the room. You go to respond only to get caught staring at his bare upper body. His pants hang low on his hips and his hair isn’t styled yet. He had just woken up and all you wanted to do was sink your teeth into him. “Star?” Paul asks feeling strangely aroused by your stare.
“Oh, uh,” You clear your throat and look away. “It’s nothing,” You mutter practically running up to the room to hide your bag. “I’m going out,” you tell Paul and leave before anybody could question or stop you.
You walk up to the market and shop for some herbs. These aren’t necessary for the spell, but it should help strengthen and speed up the process. You also just wanted to avoid the boys for as long as possible.
Nearing midnight you sensed the boys by the pier. You knew the cave would be empty thus prompting you to return. You went to put the herbs with your stash only to find everything missing.
“No,” You whisper, practically tearing the room apart in your search.
“I never knew you were a witch,” Dwayne said behind you. You whirled around and saw your bag in his hand. “Why didn’t you tell us?”
“It’s private,” You whisper. “Max is touchy with witches... I thought I’d be safer if he didn’t know,”
“Yeah, he can be pretty touchy with them,” Dwayne nod, his expression unreadable. He tosses the bag onto the bed. “But how would you know?” He wonders, closing in on you. You move around trying to avoid being cornered. The movements are slow and casual but intense. Either one of you could lash out and both of you know it.
You’re certain this isn’t common behavior for Star. She’s a newbie in transition. She wouldn’t dare stare off with someone as old and strong as Dwayne. She wouldn’t move with the confidence that you do. You knew Dwayne wouldn’t, and couldn’t, hurt you. At this point you knew the jig was up, but you couldn’t help but to play along wanting to see how this would turn out.
“Max isn’t exactly a closed book,” You answer simply. “He wants a family and is willing to do anything to get it. A witch would ruin his plans,”
Dwayne hums and continues to stalk around the room. You’re about to continue the conversation when he strikes. He’s fast, faster than you remember but so are you.
Dwayne shoves you into the wall but you shove his chest and switch positions. Now his back is against the wall and his arms are pinned above his head. He doesn’t fight your grip. He simply smirks at you.
“If you were in your real skin I’d kiss you,” He whispers, fondness and adoration taking over his face.
“What gave me away?” You ask, keeping your tone low like his and your face close. You enjoyed teasing him but hated that neither of you would do anything while you were in Star’s body.
“Everything,” He mutters. “From your hungry stare to your-” He pauses and runs his nose along your neck. “-irresistible scent,” He moans, leaning his head back against the wall. “And now this,” He glances up at your hands with a casual smirk. “You always loved reminding us of your strength just like we loved taking advantage of your pleasing nature,” The instant the last word leaves his lips your positions switch again and this time you allow him to pin you against the wall. “You could possess a thousand different bodies and I’d still be able to pick you out,”
“Dwayne,” You whisper, slipping your hands from his to cup his face. “I could never hide from you, could I?” You mutter, pulling his head down to yours. Your foreheads rest against each other. His hips press against yours needing as much contact as he could get.
“I hate that you felt the need to hide in the first place,” He whispers, closing his eyes in an attempt to hide the sorrow in them. His hands wrap around your wrists while his heads turn inward to kiss you palms.
“I didn’t want too, please believe me,” You beg of him. “It was necessary,”
“Don’t hide anymore,” He pleads with you. He forces his eyes open and another wave of sorrow hits him when he looks at Star instead of you. “Where are you?”
“I’m somewhere safe,” You promise him. “This will all be over soon. I swear to it,”
“I can’t hide this from the others,” Dwayne says. “David will know as soon as they return. Marko and Paul will pry it out of him sooner rather than later,”
“The more you know the more danger you will be in,” You warn him.
“We don’t care,” Dwayne shakes his head. “We’ll stand in the sun to give you shade. We’d lay in a puddle of holy water so that you can walk across our backs and stay unharmed. We would do anything for you,”
“I don’t doubt you,” You assure him. “Not for a second,”
“Then trust us to help you,” He begs. “I know why you’re here and we know why you left. Let us help you,”
Before either of you could go on you both heard the sound of bikes. You tense in anxiety. Dwayne softly shushes you and presses a gentle kiss on your forehead.
“We’re not angry with you... We’re upset but only because it’s been so long since you’ve been with us,” He mutters.
“I’m sorry,” you whisper. He gives you a playful grin and bumps his nose with your.
“I know,” He mutters pulling back. You turn towards the mouth of the cave.
“Send Michael and the child away,” You tell him. “And I’ll explain everything,” Dwayne nods walking to greet the others.
You grab you bag off of the bed and walk into the main area. Dwayne is having words with David while Michael leads the child away. Marko and Paul walk over to you.
“What’s going on?” Marko asks. You don’t respond right away. You kneel on the ground and spread out the ingredients for your spell along the ground before pulling out your book. “Witch,” Marko breathes. A second later Paul snatches the book and inspects it.
“Where did you get this?” Paul whispers, recognizing it.
“I found it some time ago,” you tell him. He snarls and goes to grab you but Dwayne intercepts him. Marko jumps at the suddenness of everything. Paul continues to growl and struggle in Dwayne’s grip as he snaps at you.
“This isn’t your book! You stole this! Where is she!? Where’s the woman you stole this from?” He snaps.
“Paul is that...” Marko whispers. Paul shoves Dwayne off of him. The two growl at each other.
“It’s Y/n’s,” Paul confirms. “I remember her reading it... It’s one of her favorites with her most powerful spells,”
“Such as mater manipulation, weather control, and I assume there’s a possession spell in there as well,” David says, shifting in his seat. His eyes narrow in on you but you don’t shrink away.
“Possession?” Marko asks, looking from David to you.
“Star isn’t a witch,” Dwayne states.
“Little flower?” Marko whispers, inching towards you drawing your gaze from David. Finding his courage he speeds up to close the distance.
“Marko,” Paul mutters anxiously. He didn’t understand what was going on but soon it would be clear.
“You smell like her,” Marko whispers, hesitantly grabbing your hips. “Tell me it’s true,” Marko pleads trying not to get his hopes up.
“It’s true,” You whisper, resting your hands on his arm. A small smile turns into a wide grip. He pulls you into his tight embrace and spins you around. You laugh clinging to him.
“What are you doing here? Where’ve you been? Why’re you back?” Marko spits out question after question. You gently shush him while promising him answers.
“Y/n?” Paul asks. “What’re you doing in Star’s body?”
“Hiding from Max,” you tell him. “I’m sorry I left without saying anything, but I had an opportunity to separate us from Max. I had to take it which meant I had to leave you behind,”
“Have you figured it out yet? Or do you need another couple centuries?” David asks with cold indifference. You hold back a whine.
“I’ve figured it out,” You promise him. “In a couple of days, the moon will be full I can sever the bond. We’ll all be free of him... and free to kill him,”
“Now you’re talking, baby!” Paul shouts stealing you from Marko. He lifts you into the air before holding you close. “You found us,” Paul says. A slow smile spreads across his lips. “Finally,” He breathes nuzzling his head into your neck. “God, I was so nervous the trail was too subtle for you to pick up on,” He whispers in your head.
“Trail?” You ask, when he reluctantly pulls away.
“We knew you’d come back,” Dwayne says, a small, sweet smile on his face. “We just didn’t now when,”
“Max was furious when you disappeared,” Marko explains. “He spent a long time trying to hunt you down and then the rest of the time making sure you’d never find us,”
“We heard the rumors,” Dwayne began again. “About the hybrid separating vampires from sires. He knew what you were trying to do and knew you were growing stronger,”
“He’s scared,” Marko says. “When he realized just how strong you were he hid us. Figured that as long as he had us with him you wouldn’t dare touch him,”
“When he started to hide us, we started leaving a trail knowing you’d pick up on it,” David says, finally walking over to you. You smile at all of them. You didn’t even realize it was a deliberate trail you were following. “And now you’re back,”
“And now I’m back,” You whisper standing toe to toe with him. “And I’m ready to finally set us free,”
“I knew you would figure it out,” Marko smirks coming up to your side. “So smart,” He touches your face. “And still Star,” He mutters tilting his head.
“Max would know if I entered the town... He won’t expect me as Star,” you tell them. “I just need to hide until the full moon. You can’t do anything out of the ordinary and you can’t let him into your minds. I know it’ll be hard but if he finds out he could ruin our chances,”
“We’ve got your back, baby,” Paul promises, kissing the back of your head. “We’ll keep you hidden and Max occupied. Once your spell is done we’ll take turns tearing him apart,” He promises ready for blood.
“And once it’s done, you’ll never leave our sight again,” David states, forcing you to look at him.
“I won’t ever leave,” You promise. The corner of David’s lip tilts up and you take it as a sign to embrace him. You cuddle into his chest, and he holds you tight. “I love you,” You whisper to all of them.

Masterlist - Part Two - Part Three
You met Dwayne first. You didn’t remember where you were. Hell, you had a hard time remembering when it was. But you did remember how he looked.
He had his long thick black hair pulled back and he was covered in mud. As you thought about it you remembered you were in the outskirts of some city. It was the lower end of the city. The area where people did anything to survive.
Dwayne fought. He was the city’s champion. He never came up against a competitor that he couldn’t beat. After every match he would earn some money which would instantly be spent on rent and food.
You remember watching him for a couple of days in the shadows. You went by un-noticed by the people around you. People didn’t see you unless you allowed them, a little illusion trick you learned a while before.
However, while you were able to hide from everyone else you couldn’t hide from him.
“What’s your name?” He asks, not even glancing at you as he cleans himself up in the river. You looked around but there wasn’t anyone around. It was just you and him. How had he seen you?
“Y/n,” You introduced yourself. You stepped out into the light. Before you knew it you were right beside him. It was like once you started walking you couldn’t stop until you were as close as possible.
“You’ve been watching me for a while,” He notes.
“I have,” You nodded, kneeling beside him. He glances at you. This is the first time you’re seeing him up close. His eyes were captivating. As he washed the mud off of himself his scent began to intensify. It was mouthwatering.
“What are you?” He asks. You couldn’t help but to smile. He was observant and clever it seemed.
“What do you think I am?” You asked him.
“You’re not human,” He shakes his head. “You’re something more,”
“Curious to find out?” You ask him. He stares at you for a moment before slowly nodding. From that point onward you and Dwayne were practically inseparable. Every day he learned more about you while you learned about him.
It only took a few weeks to realize what you had found.
You had four wonderful months with him. With you by his side he didn’t need to fight as much. With him by your side you didn’t feel so monstrous.
“Dwayne,” You sighed, blissfully as he gently kisses down your neck. He hums as he continued to kiss down your bare body. You don’t say anything else. You just wanted to feel his lips going down your chest and his hands caressing your hips.
“Has my little witch lost her tongue?” He hums, chuckling quietly. You smirked lazily.
“I love you,” You whisper. Dwayne breathes in deeply, his hands gripping you tighter. He slowly travels back up your body. You look into his eyes as his head hovers over yours. He doesn’t say the words back but you know. He pours his emotions through the kiss he plants on your lips.
Using your strength you flip him over and pin him to the bed. He smirks into the kiss. You intertwine your fingers with his, keeping his hands above his head.
Before you could think to go further another scent hits your nose. A scent that makes your body tense. You pull away from Dwayne and sit back on his thighs. You release his hands and turn to look toward the window.
“What’s wrong?” Dwayne asks, sitting up. His arms wrap around you. You rest your hands on his shoulders.
“My brother’s here,” You whisper.
“Brother?” Dwayne asks, frowning his eyebrows. Your eyes return to his.
“We should have left while we had the chance,” You whisper, caressing his cheeks.
“What’re you talking about?” He asks, his arms tightening around you. “What’s wrong?”
“Get dressed,” You whisper, kissing his forehead. You didn’t want to leave his embrace but you forced yourself to. “He won’t wait forever,”
“Who’s your brother?” He asks, following after you. You slipped back into your clothing.
“A dangerous and possessive man,” You tell him. “Don’t anger him, Dwayne. No matter what he says, just stay quiet,” You plead with him. “I’m so sorry,” You whisper. Dwayne pulls you into his arms again.
“Relax,” He whispers, kissing the top of your head. “We’ll get through whatever this is,” He said it with so much confidence that you relaxed. By the time Dwayne was dressed your brother knocked on the door.
“Max,” You greeted, reluctantly letting him in.
“Y/n,” He smiles broadly. “I have been looking everywhere for you... If I didn’t know any better I’d say you were avoiding me,”
“What would ever give you that idea?” You ask, tilting your head. “The fact that I move constantly? Keep a low profile? Run at the sight of you?”
“Well, you’re not running now, are you, darling?” He asks, caressing your cheek as if you were a child. Then he glances at Dwayne for the first time. “Because you knew you’d never out run me with him slowing you down,” Every instinct told you to keep Max away from Dwayne but you stayed still as your brother approached your mate. “I should be thanking you,” Max says, holding out his hand. “You’re the reason why I have finally found my sister after... how long has it been? 200 years?” Max asks.
“187,” You corrected him.
“Right,” Max smirks.
“What do you want?” You ask him.
“It’s been 187 years! Can’t a brother miss seeing his sister?” Max asks you. You don’t answer. “It’s time to come home, sister,” Max says. “Don’t make this any harder on yourself,”
Your eyes flicker from Max to Dwayne.
“I go, he stays,” You say. Dwayne’s eyes widen but before he could say anything Max laughs.
“Oh, no,” He shakes his head. “He’s coming with us to make sure you never leave again,” He says darkly.
Unable to do anything other than what Max’s wants, you and Dwayne return to your childhood home with your brother. There you explain to Dwayne what is happening.
“When I joined the family Max was already a grown adult. He had already had a wife and a child on the way but they both died due to fever a few months before I was born. My mother told me it changed Max forever. I don’t know how it happened but one night Max was no longer human. He killed our parents and turned me into the same monster. Only I wasn’t exactly like him. As a child, I showed potential of becoming a witch. My abilities only strengthened as a vampire. Max was obsessed with what I could do and did everything in his power to make me stronger. I was his prized possession but I wanted my freedom. He’s my sire, I couldn’t go against him but he never said I had to stay with him. When I found my loophole I escaped during the day when he slept. I’ve been searching for a way to break the hold he has on me ever since but haven’t been successful yet,”
“And now he has you again because of me,” Dwayne mutters. You smile, running your hands through his hair.
“Fret not, my love,” You whisper. “You only give me more strength to break free,” You said, leaning to kiss him.
Max wasn’t stupid. He knew what you were planning. You may have been strong enough to escape him but he knew Dwayne wouldn’t be. Max forced Dwayne to turn thus tethering your mate to himself. Now you didn’t only have to figure out a way to free yourself but Dwayne as well all the way staying with Max who made it impossible to search for answers.
You met David next almost a century and a half later. You met him on the road in between towns. Max was hunting for something, you couldn’t recall what as it wasn’t important to you. You, Max and Dwayne were hungry. The road was long and there were hardly any travelers.
David road amongst a group of soldiers. He was in irons to be taken to the king. The three of you tore though the soldiers but when Max went to feed on David both you and Dwayne protected him. You took on Max while Dwayne ripped the shackles from David’s wrist.
“Another?” Max mutters. You hated how quickly he had caught onto the reasoning behind your protectiveness. You hated that you had found another soulmate. One soulmate trapped with Max was enough but now there was another? How many more were to come?
David didn’t even know what was happening when Max forced him through the transition. The next few months were tense. You and Max were constantly at each other’s throats. Just because he kept you prisoner doesn’t mean you were completely compliant.
“You need to be more careful,” David muttered, looking over your injuries.
“I’m fine,” You told him. Your wrist was broken and your arm had burns. You’ve had worse. “They’re healing,” David stares at you with a bitchy face. “If I didn’t challenge him then he would know something is wrong,” You explained. “It’s just how things are. I push him, he pushes back, we come to blows, and then the next few weeks are calm,” You said.
“I’ve already tried getting her to stop antagonizing him,” Dwayne tells David. David glances at him but Dwayne keeps his piercing look on you. “It only encourages her,”
“He’s practice,” You told them both. “He doesn’t know it yet but he helps me get stronger. If I’m strong enough I can break the hold he has over us,”
“You don’t even know if it’s possible,” David said, his eyes reanalyzing your burns. He seemed emotionless but he felt relieved that you were healing quickly.
“I have to have hope,” You whisper, looking into his eyes. Gently, you lift you hands and cover his cheeks. “I won’t let us live our entire lives under his thumb,” You told him.
“We might have to,” David says realistically. Your shoulders drop.
“I refuse to believe that,” You snarl, marching away from him. Your entire life has been dictated by your brother. To think that your future would be the same way is heart breaking. You’d rather not live than be his slave for eternity.
You’re forced to stop walking when David speeds in front of you. You glare at him but he just smiles back at you. Your glare scared plenty of people but David and Dwayne were not among them.
“All I’m saying is that there might not be a way to severe his hold but that doesn’t mean we won’t find a way to escape,” He mutters, gripping your chin.
“You and Dwayne are too young to run from him,” You whisper. “He’s your sire, you’d both return,”
“We won’t be young forever,” Dwayne says, coming up behind you.
“Eventually we’ll be strong enough to leave like you did and we’ll run and never look back,” David promises. “You will be happy,” He vows, pressing his head against yours.
“I love you,” You whisper, your fingers slipping through David’s blonde hair. The words are meant for both of them. David smirks and claims your lips while Dwayne nips at your throat.
Your third soulmate came with the name of Paul. He was a wild man, a street performer. You found him while having some time to yourself during the day. Being a hybrid meant you were able to be in the sunlight but it also meant that you never slept. You haven’t slept for centuries. You don’t remember what it’s like.
You grow bored easily so you often wander around. Max allows it because he knows you wouldn’t abandon David and Dwayne.
When you stumbled upon Paul he instantly captivated you. He preformed tricks and danced in the streets for coins. You didn’t tell anybody about him, not even David and Dwayne.
It killed you to keep Paul from your other to mates. Especially since you knew that he would be theirs as well. David and Dwayne aren’t just your mates but they belong with each other as well. You knew Paul wouldn’t just be yours but you couldn’t force him to succumb to such a life.
But as always, Max found out. Paul had been your sweet secret for barely a week. Max wanted to move on and you stupidly asked to stay. You wanted more time with Paul before you were forced to leave him behind.
Max surprisingly agreed. He agreed so willingly that you should have suspected it... but you didn’t. You were just too relieved and happy to see Paul. Only the next day Paul wasn’t in his spot. That night you found Paul with Max.
“You know, for a witch, you keep your mind open far too often,” Max chuckled before forcing you to watch Paul transition like he did with David and Dwayne.
You cursed yourself for being so stupid. You let your guard down in your happiness at finding Paul. Now you’re the reason your third mate is stuck with your psychopathic brother.
Dwayne and David were annoyed you kept their mate from them. Dwayne was furious. David understood, which lessened his rage, but was still upset.
You prayed that Paul was the last one. You were responsible for ruining the lives of your three mates. You didn’t want to be responsible for a fourth. You hated yourself for not being strong enough to stay away from Dwayne and Paul. If you stayed from Dwayne and went back to Max you never would have crossed path with David.
David had bragged about his plan to escape their custody. He said it wouldn’t have been his first time escaping the king. It only made you more sorrowful to know he would have been free but instead he’s a prisoner with a man he can never escape.
“Whatcha reading there, lovely?” Paul asks, plopping down beside you.
“A new spell book I found,” You told him. Paul hums, snuggling his head into the crook of your neck. You smile and run your fingers through his hair. He hums and slowly slides his body on top of yours. You laugh as he demands attention and cuddles in a way only Paul does. “I love you,” You whisper, snuggling him closer.
“Hmm, I love you too, beautiful,” Paul whispers, nipping at your skin. You smile closing your eyes. If you could, you knew you’d fall asleep in his arms. You wished you could sleep. You wondered what you would dream about.
While awake you dreamed of your life with your boys. Every few years you’d travel with them before settling down for a few more. You wanted a quiet life as much as you wanted adventure. You had eternity to have both.
You dreamed about visiting libraries with books for miles with David. You thought about the places to hike with Paul. You wanted to visit the oceans and seas with Dwayne. All of your dreams included your mates. All of your dreams had your brother dead and out of the picture.
“What are you thinking about?” Paul wonders.
“I’m plotting,” You whisper to him. Paul smirks, lifting his head to look at you.
“Who are we plotting against today?” He asks, although he knew the answer.
“The whole world,” You told him. “We’ll rule over everyone, have everything we want, and live a life of luxury,” Paul smirks.
“What a life,” He whispers, kissing you.
Paul had come along just under a century after David. Marko didn’t make you wait so long. He came barely a decade after Paul.
Paul had found him on the streets stealing food. Max had been with him. He was a vampire by the time he was brought around to meet you, David and Dwayne. Paul felt guilty since he had been the one to give Marko away to Max. You spent the night reassuring him that he wasn’t the one to blame. If your history has taught you one thing it’s that Max will find any potential piece of happiness and either trap it or ruin it completely.
It was a rare night where Max let you and the others out of his sight. You and your mates made the most of it. Your mates terrorized a local town. You weren’t a vicious eater like they were. Your witch side allowed you to stay more in tune with your humanity and in touch with nature.
Even if you weren’t as vicious as your lovers you didn’t berate them nor try to control them. You knew it was in their nature, you knew they enjoyed it. You prayed for the victims and whispered spells to help their souls find peace but you didn’t try to spare any lives. Your mates were always being controlled by your brother, you weren’t about to do the same thing during their one night of freedom.
You felt a sudden presence behind you. A smile came to your face as an arm reached around you to present a handful of your favorite flowers. You leaned your head down to smell them.
“For me?” You whisper. Marko steps around to face you, his hands till clutching the flowers. He doesn’t say anything but he grabs a single flower and tucks it into your hair behind your ear.
“Beautiful,” He whispers, grinning a bloodstained smile. You were the only spotless one. All of your mates, David included, he was usually a little cleaner than the rest, are covered in blood. “You hungry, little flower?”
“Is there anyone left?” You ask, tilting your head. “You boys have quite the appetite,”
“Do you think we’d let you go hungry?” Marko asks, grabbing you hand to kiss your knuckles. “What kind of mates do you take us for?” He questions, smirking. You gasp when he sweeps you off your feet, holding you against his chest. He nuzzles the top of your hair briefly before spinning you toward the others. “Oh, boys!” He shouts for their attention.
Paul was mid feed when he pulled from the woman’s neck. Excess blood dripped down his chin and you couldn’t help but to lick your lips. Dwayne was dragging his victim toward the others while David was keeping an eye on everything. He had already fed and took pleasure watching the others feed. He was seconds from coming up to you when Marko beat him to it. Even then he was tempted to steal you from him.
“Our lady is hungry,” Marko grins, bumping his nose into the side of your head.
“Come share with me!” Paul shouts before any of the others. “She’s got a little life left,” Paul growls, holding the human close. Marko reluctantly releases you.
You move toward Paul. Instead of biting into the woman your hand wraps around the back of his neck. You pull him close and lick the blood from his chin. He steps even closer as your tongue glides over his lips.
Allowing the human to drop to the ground Paul takes you into his arms and kisses you. The kiss makes your head spin. His scent is mixed with the scent of blood. Before you could help yourself you sank you fangs into his neck.
His head instantly falls back. He moans deeply, his fingers digging into your hips. Your hand leaves his neck to go into his hair. You pull his head even to the side sinking your teeth deeper into his neck.
“How’s he taste?” Marko whispers, coming up behind you. You retract your fangs and lap at his neck.
“Sweet,” You mutter. “Delicious,” You added. Marko hums pressing you more firmly against Paul.
“Just like you,” Marko whispers in your ear before leaning over your shoulder to kiss Paul. Your hands roamed Paul’s side as you listened to the two of them.
Your eyes wandered over to David, who was watching you like a hawk. Dwayne appeared behind him. You whined quietly as you watched them tend to each other.
“Don’t worry, Princess,” Paul mutters. “We haven’t forgotten about you,”
As much as you hated it, you were finally coming around to the idea that you would never escape Max. You had been trapped with him, with your mates, for nearly have a millennium. Maybe David was right. Maybe there was no escaping them.
At this moment Dwayne would most likely be the only one strong enough, old enough to withstand the pull between sire and sired. It would take centuries more before Marko would be strong enough. Even then, Max would find a way to keep you close.
It wasn’t all bad. You had your boys. You felt complete with them. You loved them with everything in you. With them, you could manage a few more centuries with your psychotic brother.
“You’re a hard woman to find,”
When you spun toward the voice you couldn’t believe who you were seeing. Almost two centuries before you found Dwayne you found another man. A wizard strong enough to escape death.
“Ezekiel,” You whispered. “What are you doing here?”
It was day time. Your mates and brother were asleep in the den. You were out having a small taste of freedom like you usually did when the sun rose.
“Looking for you,” He says, moving closer. “I have something for you... Something you’ve been looking for a long time,”
“No,” You whispered. Ezekiel nods smirking.
“I found the spell,”
A wide smile breaks across your lips.
“It’s experimental,” He warns you.
“How experimental?” You wonder.
“The spell has only been cast once and everyone died except for the caster,” He tells you. “Now, I’ve learned that you have found your mates and that your brother has sired them,”
“If I cast the spell they’ll die,” You whisper.
“Yes,” He whispers sadly. You close your eyes as you feel the hope you’ve been clinging too disappear. Ezekiel sighs and smooths your hair down gently.
Ezekiel had stumbled upon you a long time ago. You had yet to leave your brother. He was intrigued by you. He had never met a hybrid. He offered to be your teacher, to get you away from Max and you accepted. The two of you ran away together, not romantically. Ezekiel is twice your age but looked far older. He became a father figure since you couldn’t remember your own.
You stuck with him for nearly two centuries. You got separated when you found Dwayne. Ezekiel hadn’t gone with you to the city for some reason, you couldn’t remember. What you do remember is the determination Ezekiel had to severe the bond between you and Max. He wanted you free thus looked for the spell as determined as you were.
“Come with me,” Ezekiel says.
“What?”
“Leave your brothers, your mates and come with me. Just for a little while. We can work with the spell. We can test it out until we find a way to kill Max but leave the others alive,”
“I can’t just leave,” You told him. “They’re my mates. They’ll never stop hunting me. They’ll think the worst happened or that I betrayed and abandoned them... No, I can’t do that,” You shook your head.
“Y/n,” Ezekiel says, turning your head to look at him. “I’m old, darling, I’ve fought death for two millenniums and I don’t know how much is left in me,” The tears pooling in your eyes begin to descend. “I don’t want to die knowing that you are still trapped. Come with me and I vow that we will figure this spell out. I vow to return you to your mates and when that day comes we will kill Max once and for all,”
