Look assholes, here's the thing. Being shy and introverted doesn't mean you're not a badass. You never know who you really are until life gives you an opportunity to create yourself, and that's what Bo does in Lamp Life. It's a timeless, universal message. Sometimes we're attached to things in our lives that keep us from growing, like a baby lamp or a traditional gender role. But we are all perfectly capable of leaving our own toxicity behind, if only we would dare to dream of something more.

Greetings, fellow Pixar Enthusiasts.

I'm poly and I'm part of a quad that is basically the IRL version of lily-fox's OT4 Toy Story fanart. Our pairings are:

Bo Peep x Jessie

Buzz x Jessie

Unfortunately, the only pairing we're missing is the most popular noncanonical pairing, the boytoy slash.

I've been able to find fanart for every pairing except Bo Peep x Buzz Lightyear. I know this isn't a pairing that even occurs to people, but trust me, in real life, it's adorable. My husband is an adventurous, articulate, gregarious sci-fi/gaming nerd with a heart of pure gold. He's the best friend anyone could ask for. He recently went through an existential crisis and transformation that is, metaphorically, very similar to the character development we get for Buzz Lightyear in the first Toy Story film.

I'm a sarcastic, introverted, nomadic woman. I started out as a shy, sweet kid, and trauma turned me into a free spirit with a penchant for ruthless pragmatism. I've overcome a great deal on my own, and can be resistant to letting others into my world. The romance in Toy Story 4 is the story of my marriage, sans fork and Woody. I didn't meet my Woody until much later, long after he married our Jessie, whom I fell in love with before him.

I've found fanart of myself and my cowboy & girl, but none of me and my husband. I love the idea of our aesthetic here, 60s esque Space Ranger and Sexy Fable Character (who also has a 60s vibe) both gone rogue from their conditioning and initial sense of purpose (Star Command, Baby Lamp)? Doesn't that sound beautiful? Because it is.

I have no idea how this is going to go over, so I'm just diving in. If you don't like the theory I completely understand, dismiss as needed.

Most of the protagonists in ASOUE seem to be polyamorous.

I feel that this is especially true if you include the netflix adaptation in the canon.

There's Violet and her chemistry/subtext with both Duncan and Quigley.

There's Klaus, who has a similar dynamic (Isadora & Fiona).

Olaf, who seems to have had an extensive, dysfunctional romantic history which includes Kit who seems to retain feelings for Olaf even as she has committed her life to Dewey.

And then there's Beatrice 1. Need I say more?
