Ok, so I often joke that I found out I was bisexual by seeing a hot couple together and not knowing if I should be jealous of the boy or the girl, but my actual awakening to my bisexuality was Loki,
I'm a girl, so when I first tell people this, they look at me weird, but let me tell you the story.
So Loki was my favorite character in the Thor movie and I fell for him HARD in my 15-16 years. (Came out in 2011 when I was between those ages)
So as a young nerd girl does I was looking up fanart of Loki all over the internet. And in my search I can across a bunch of female Loki Fanarts and was just. Damn she's pretty. And slowly I said to myself. "You know, I'd date Loki even if they where a girl. And after a moment, a realization hit me in the head like a ton of bricks. All those female characters I loved "platonically" growing up was not nearly as platonic as I'd like to think, Shego? Megara? Sailor Jupiter? Sango? I was fucking gay for all of them and was in denial cuz I still liked boys. I have a crush on spike from Buffy, I had a crush on sesshomaru from Inuyasha, I had a crush on LOKI for gods sake. So I couldn't have been gay. It took Loki for me to figure out "oh fuck I'm bisexual"
So to know that Loki has come out as Bi/Pan today has me very happy, cuz the character I learned I was bisexual through was like me.
