What i loved: such a cute one shot. Nile centric. Nile figuring out her feelings and falling in love with Andy and Quynh. Nile being all worried about her feelings, of them not being reciprocal or that she would ruin Andy’s and Quynh’s relationship. How Andy and Quynh react to the love confession.
Oh dear, I hope you already knew that the answer to this is that I do Not ship it xD
Reasons:
First of all, Andromaquynh ♡
My darlings are OTP (or ot3 adding Nile), and I just can't ship something that doesn't have Andy and Quỳnh together!
When going for Andromaquynh as OTP, I can't really see Andy starting anything serious while Quỳnh is in the ocean, so especially not with another immortal. Even when going for complete polyguard, I think she'd withdraw from Joe and Nicky while Quỳnh is gone, and not start anything with Booker even if they do. Idk, maybe they'd sleep together, but I can't see them having an actual romantic relationship then, more that it's an (unhealthy) coping mechanism
Second, the Hetero TM xD, & male/female friendships
Like, I know there are some scenes in the film that can be seen as shippy, and that a mainstream not-queer audience probably latches onto and expects them to be canon because of it- the scene where Booker's dead in safe house Charlie, the hug before he's exiled, the fact that they've both somewhat given up on life- but I just like to see it as a friendship rather than anything romantic. They can care deeply about each other and have things in common without having to be a couple.
I just don't vibe with it!
Idk, even with the above reasons, sometimes my multishipping brain turns on and still enjoys content to a ship I wouldn't want to become canon- but in Andy/Booker's case, whether bc I'm still mad at Booker for his betrayal, bc Andromaquynh is so very much otp for me, or bc of something else entirely, I'm just not into it.
Thanks for the ask, though! Was kind of fun and definitely interesting to think it through properly xD
