MENU SQUAD WEEK!

A week dedicated to II’s Menu Squad, from Oct. 5 to Oct. 11!

Exactly ONE YEAR AGO on this day, I made my very first art of the Menu Squad, consisting of II Season 1’s Final Four: OJ, Taco, Paper and Pickle.

And as we’re approaching one year ever since the foundation of the name Menu Squad, the unofficial name of the S1 Final Four across II Tumblr, I decided to make a week dedicated to celebrating the past year as a love letter to my favorite characters from II, and to all the people I’ve met along the way.

Each day is focused on one pair from the Menu Squad, with the final day being focused on all of them! You don’t have to follow the prompts given, since they’re based on what the characters have in common. THEY CAN BE ROMANTIC OR PLATONIC! They’re not meant to be exclusively shippy. You don’t have to do all days, either! Feel free to draw which ones you like!

just bear with it. - tacojay week day 1

SEASON 1. there’s no benefit in her doing this, taco just wants to spend time while waiting on the next challenge.

before i start up menu squad week, i wanted to do another week-long art challenge… @tartamishwho’s tacojay week! it’s been one year since i started shipping tacojay as well!

challenged myself by using only one layer and monochrome colors! well, two layers if you count each page separately. ended up a bit sloppy, but it was fun to make!

*Pickle asked OJ if he can “turn Taco into a panda bear”.

T: (What are you thinking, Taco?! You’re not supposed to be ENJOYING this! Just stay focused and get the million. That’s it.)

[Cut to Taco looking at OJ from her point of view.]

T: But then again…

T: Hey, O-Jay…

OJ: Yeah?

[Taco kicks in the used brush towards him.]

T: Why don’t YOU dress up, too?

OJ: …
