For a whole year, I have become obsessed with S1’s final four, the Menu Squad — OJ, Taco, Paper and Pickle. But my interest in them has since declined, even quitting halfway through my own Menu Squad-themed event.

HOWEVER! Despite that decline, I still adore them! And with the release of the new Season 1 Remastered episode, I have RETURNED! For a short while. I’ll dip again once the new S4 episode comes out on YouTube. And without further ado…

AQUATIC CONFLICT:

i didn’t make an ep 11 post because i forgot about it. i’m a very busy girl. most of my thoughts for aquatic conflict are positive but i forgot them all because i forgot to make a writeup on it OOPSIES

for ep. 11, i’m saddened by the loss of “get the hell out of my boat” but they added a couple fun moments!

this is also the episode responsible for payjay’s first moments! bending the cups along with the bending straws gave me a giggle. lmao

HASTA LA VISTA!! I WIN! i love looseleaf bro

CRAPPY ANNIVERSARY:

i like how firey has an INSANE relevance for this episode. not good for the timeline, sure, but it also heavily implies that II takes place AFTER THE EVENTS OF BFDI SEASON 1!!! mephone gave firey a name drop.

this is. WAY different from the original. i thought they were gonna sanitize it again, but no, it’s just ALL NEW CONTENT. and we get to see the inside of wall-mart. I KNEW IT WAS WALL-MART NOT HOOT LMAOOOO

a post mentioned that oj wearing a bonnet in line with juneteenth was genius. i love the black oj headcanon so much. i have him as my gijinka design. this is canon now

foreshadowing payjay AND the tacopickle fallout is crazy bro. pickle being distraught that 14 million people voted against him is definitely leading to him being WAY MORE AFFECTED by taco’s betrayal

they kept the good things from the original and sneaked them to the new one. like taco’s break into british mode! i knew british taco would appear in this episode, but IT WAS STILL A JUMPSCARE!

and it was all to throw off OJ… i miss you so much english breakfast.

firey mentioned how he lost dream island meaning bfdi is canon to ii…?? no, surely s1r is not canon, right? they even showed it that IT WAS MEPHONE’S DOING to make the original s1r look crappy. all went full circle… IT ALSO EXPLAINED THE UNIVERSAL LINK TO S1 AND S1R. s1r mephone DID THIS TO S1 MEPHONE. if you get what i mean
