Today is a bit of a sad day because I sold all of my dad’s breeding discus. The main house is going to be put up for sale hopefully within a year, so I have to start emptying out all the fish tanks. My mom’s house sadly does not have the infrastructure for an aquarium room (not that she’d let me bring 12+ fishtanks over even if it did). It’s hard. I know they’re just fish, but I’ve grown up with them, and I’ve never had to rehome pets before. But on the plus side I personally know the buyer and he’s very familiar with discus and their picky requirements, so they’re in good hands.
