So I've got a pair of betta coming in for a breeding project I want to start with them.....would anyone be interested in seeing progress/getting updates once it gets started????
So I am sure that these aren’t the only ones that exist, but I personally have never found pictures of amano shrimp larvae that are high resolution and magnified.
But my amano shrimp bred. And I have babies. And a loupe. And so, people of tumblr, please enjoy seeing the baby amano shrimp pictures that I took. I honestly think they might be a pretty rare sight to see, given how rarely they are bred and raised in captivity.
I know the pics aren’t phenomenal quality, but they’re the best I could muster with the tools I had. I also got a video
good evening, today is a great day to get a pet mudskipper and start a secret breeding ring for mudskippers in your dorm :)
I’ve got babies!
welcome to my brain, today we’ll be thinking about
✨planted freshwater aquariums✨
Hi! Are you ready for some more really terrible photos of Betta Rubra!?
Since everyone is in lockdown and we never got to have our yearly fishclub auction, I still have all the surprise babies, and they've grown up.
The top two photos are of two brothers practicing with just about full colour on.
Bottom left is a teenage male at resting level colour.
The last one is a pair of one-year old females strutting for territory. I didn't believe the breeder when he said the females would colour up in time and even get some iridescence, because after the first few months I just couldn't see it.Give these fish time. The camera doesn't catch half of the rich ruby red of their namesake, nor the flashing iridescence.
And to top it all off, they can live communally. In fact, you don't even see those stunning displays unless they have competitors to be grumpy at.
I love these fish.
The baby corydoras got their first experience of sand today. They grow up so fast 🥰
