This colony keeps suprisng me because I will genuinely not see them for months and then peek in on them one day and see like 3 of them active.

I fed them some springtails and got to observe them hunting :)

Monotone Princess’s Main Villain Plot Summary

So the basic plot of Monotone Princess’s villains is that Ponera and Grimoire plan to gather kishin power and destroy the world, Death, and the DWMA right along with it.

I don’t know how Ponera came to be pretty much the last of her clan but her clan’s specialty was spinning a magical cocoon that can absorb a human’s soul, turn it into a kishin egg (this is apparently a very rare ability), and create a Gigant ant creature. These Gigants are actual Kishins too (not on Asura’s level though) and are not to be confused for the evil Kishin eggs that maybe sometimes called “Kishins” despite not being it.

Grimoire’s special ability is a form of soul manipulation (called Wavelength Control in Soul Eater) in which he can absorb the power of souls from himself via magic or absorbing the soul in his book. He teaches Ponera this very ability too.  

I still don’t know Ponera’s stake into the situation, as I have not come across translation that is coherent enough and explains her deal (it’s something out of revenge though). However, I do understand Grimoire’s intent. Being a sorcerer not natively born in the Paraponera Clan, he seeks to use Ponera’s special abilities for his own gain. He teaches her his special ability and gets close to her to make it more convincing but in reality, plans to leave her and become a “Super Sorcerer” capable of actually getting rid of Death and the DWMA.

The both of them plan to gather power by creating their Kishin creature, Gigants, in masses and then absorbing their soul to attain kishin power in mass and become super powerful.

Watch as Ponera pretty much kicks my butt. .-. As far as bosses go, she is IMO one of the cheapest. Right next to one of the Jack the Ripper cosplayer who’s name I dunno.

After defeating Grimoire, Ponera is informed of his death (he died and his soul gets sucked into his book). I wished I recorded it because her cries was pretty emotional and there was actual tears. What’s even sadder tho was Grimoire didn’t see her in the same light, using her for his ends because she can create Soul Cocoons.

I’m at the very last level now. I actually died for the second time. Ponera is actually tough. Her and Grimoire aren’t pushovers by any means.

Both her magic and Grimore’s magic are pretty lit.
