headcannon: the Curtis parents were good parents were good parents, but they were also very, very homophobic/transphobic. Soda or Darry or Pony comes out after their parents deaths and just feels awful because they can be themselves now that they're dead. What is wrong with them? How can anything good happen from their parents deaths, how are they so selfish?

Speaking of Bob, he never got passed second base with Cherry. He always thought of her as too pure for that. He would have sex with greaser girls though

Sylvia and Johnny are friends tho. Mostly because Sylvia reminds Johnny of Dally

Sylvia gave Johnny her ring when she broke up with Dally

Johnny always tries to get Dally and Sylvia back together

When they learned their parents died, Soda pulled a Prince William and ran away. That was really the only time Darry got really mad at him because he thought he would have to lose his parents and his brother the same night.
