So I remembered a few years ago when I was little. My birth mother had a Cockatiel and his name was Danny Boy. But he wouldn’t let my birth mother near him at all, he kept biting her. I was scared of him so I kept away from him for awhile. The only one he liked was my dad (he had one before and a cockatoo before meeting mom)
My dad took him to the vet and he was healthy and everything, but we don’t know why he was acting like that towards her. She got him from a pet store but we didn’t know why he acted like that towards her but not anyone else. Any idea why?
I don't really know why either. Sometimes birds just don't like certain people. The same with any animal. Maybe your dad was Danny Boy's favourite person and he felt that your mother was threatening their relationship. There could be a whole number of reasons he was acting this way, not necessarily anything wrong with him however.

I can see the similarities, for sure. Personally I think a lot of it has to do with them sharing the same styles (specifically with Burial At Sea Elizabeth). Got that 1950s or so look going on.
