Im not sure what has stricken me more the fact that this is a thing someone decided to write about (its entirely possible this is one of those ones that were added to yokai guides back in the day to pad out the numbers and make the books more interesting, i think i recall that being a thing) or the fact that there are *more than one variants of this creature* I get the impression theres a lesson here somewhere, something about respectfully not letting fruit rot on the tree but the message gets a litlte lost in the whole
