I'm sorry about the Denny's butterfly, but that is so camp.
I just imagined looking at you from a birds eye view as you stand looking at a dead butterfly in the parking lot.
I can't see your face just the back of your head as you probably watch in horror.
There are no cars around. Just you in a sea of white lines and concrete.
The camera zooms in on its little wings being blown by a breeze and the focus on the insect makes the background blurry but you can see the disgusting ground of either fast food, a cigarette, or a condom.
Suddenly we zoom out back to birds eye view to see a Denny's take out bag rolls across the pavement behind you as the wind picks up.
Your hair starts to blow and you're shoulders are bouncing as you softly cry, but at the same time you can hear traffic and some people arguing.
This feels very much Shameless or Sunny in Philly.
😭...😐 I am genuinely sorry.
This was...strangely accurate. Except I was just crying on the way back to my car while trying to make the decision about whether I should pick it up or bury it, so I kept looking back at it and I'm near positive that the people in the restaurant thought I was schizophrenic. (I ended up leaving it and I feel kinda bad.) Sobbed for a good five minutes while stimming with my favorite fidget spinner, then went to get groceries and had several severe OCD moments because there were empty boxes everywhere.
(It's also raining rn so the ground is super icky.)
