Chester paused his stacking of plates halfway through Cinder's question, then turned with sad eyes back to his task with a near-inaudible "hmm."

Silently, he lifted half of the stack into the cupboard above.

"I guess... Just. .. around, sorta." After a moment, the rest of the plates were put away. He shut the cupboard door so slowly, it was like it was made of some explosive material that he daren't disturb. And even after the soft thud of the door closing, he kept his eyes staring straight on through it for a few seconds before he turned himself to face Cinder and rested back against the counter, though avoiding looking at her.

"I think about Elzin a lot, sometimes. Just sort of, around. In the air but not- not high. Just a little too far up to be real."

"I guess it makes sense, I mean, he was my teacher, the man who-.... Well. There was a time when he cared more whether I lived or died than I did. He taught me everything I know about how to do this job and this job is my life.."

".... I hope-" His words cut off abruptly. And he sighed. "I hope he isn't disappointed when he looks down. That's all."

I can’t tell if these are prompt suggestions or just music suggestions. Whatever the case, I love Linkin Park (;_; Chester’s gone. I hope he rests well.) and Castle of Glass is pretty good. I haven’t heard of the other songs, but I’ll have to check them out. :D
