Finals are killing me and writer's block is hitting hard rn. I genuinely don't know when im gonna get chapter 3 out for my fic, which i apologize for, ik it's been a while. (ToT) But here's a small exerpt to make up for the wait!!

“How excellent! Everything seems to be perfectly in order. Are there any further questions?”

Azul cleared his throat, casually pushing his glasses back up. “Yes, just one Headmage.”

Crowley, for whatever reason, looked nervous.

Riddle apparently hadn't been the only one to catch it. From the way Leona's ear briefly flicked in Crowley's direction it seemed like the beast man was actually paying attention,  for once.

“Ah, yes. Very well, Mr. Ashengrotto. What is it?” 

The man seemed to be in some sort of rush. How strange…

“The exchange program. RSA has already chosen their students, but what about NRC?”

Riddle had the same question in mind. Despite all the arrangements being made, dorms preparing to “warmly welcome” students from their rival school, not a word was heard about their own students.

“Yes, that.” Crowley sounded nervous, he was practically sweating bullets. “That was handled by me personally, no need to worry.”

“Then who'd you pick?” Came the lazy drawl of none other than Leona. For once, he seemed to be actually interested in what the Headmage said.

Crowley, if anything, looked like he'd just walked into his own funeral. Though, it's not like they could tell much from his expression, always covered by the mask. “It doesn't matter who I've picked. I trust that they'd represent Night Raven College very well.” He deflected, clearly hiding something. 

“Headmage, who did you pick?” Malleus asked, tone icy cold and sharp. The fae prince had actually attended a meeting for once, which was a surprise.

If Crowley were a lesser man, he would've squeaked or maybe tried to deflect some more. But in this room where even the air seemed to weigh on his very soul and the eyes were far too observant, he cracked.

“I sent the first years.”

A Theory Regarding Chapter 7 (or a potential Chapter 8) and Ace’s Unique Magic

so in the wake of uh... all the shit that just happened in the last TWST JP update, I’ve had a few ideas spring into my head about how this may all end. This theory also ties into a few of the widely accepted theories I’ve seen circulating the fandom.  Naturally there will be spoilers, so the main content is gonna be under a cut so if you’re not caught up yet you can avoid those.

So with Malleus overblotting this early, there is NO WAY that he is the final boss of the chapter. Or, at least if he *is* the final boss of the chapter, there’s no way he’s the final boss of the whole story.

We still have yet to see what happens to Grim after all is said and done with Malleus. And by now, I think most people have accepted that Grim is the monster that we battle in the prologue. With the time loop theory, that means we’re most likely fighting him at some point near the end of the main story. Additionally, the time loop theory also implies that the loop gets broken by the time the main story ends, by us. So what could we possibly do in this scenario, being a magicless human?

We inspire and encourage Ace enough to unlock his unique magic.

We have seen the UM of almost every character up until this point. The only exceptions I know of are most of Diasomnia (aka everyone that isn’t Malleus) and Ace. I feel like we’ll find out the rest of Diasomnia’s in the journey to break the sleeping spell that Malleus has put over everyone, so that takes care of those three. That only leaves one Ace Trappola.

I’m willing to bet that in every other loop, Ace has been taking a backseat role in the entire thing. The difference with this one is that he had a few too many chance encounters with a few troublemakers, and now said troublemakers are some of his best friends. He’s been with this little crowd through thick and thin, as well as witnessing multiple overblots. Ace will understand the gravity of the situation once Grim becomes the prologue monster. And yeah, having to fight Grim is going to hurt him, a LOT. I’m predicting that Deuce will try to help with his UM, but in the end, he can’t do it. They both know that even though this is a monster, deep down this is the lovable and mischievous Grim, and they don’t want to risk hurting him. Which is why Deuce can try, but ultimately fails.

However, Yuu reminds them that if they don’t do anything, Grim will definitely be lost forever. Inaction means no chance of getting Grim back. And that’s the push Ace needs to finally unlock his UM. And yeah, if he uses this on Grim and it ends with Grim not coming back to everyone, it’s going to hurt him and his friends. But Ace knows he has to at least try. If not for himself, then for Yuu. And that little bit of determination is what finally breaks the loop.

Cars

Just as all Sanses have a thing for stars, the Papyri have a thing for cars.

Paps (Undertale) - Likes convertibles, the cool (and red) the better. 

He is an excellent driver and a strict follower of traffic rules. He will always drive under the limit.

Edge (Underfell) - The faster the better! If it were allowed to have a Formula 1 car driving around the city he would have it.

He'll also make a point of customizing it, but unlike the Paps he's opted for the black exterior and red interior.

He follows the laws, but is not as strict as Papys and will (always) drive at the maximum speed limit.

Stretch (Underswap) - He likes cars and knows a lot about them, but he's never been interested in learning to drive (why can he take shortcuts, or sleep on the bus?) and the truth is he gets a little nervous when see behind a steering wheel, instead he collects small models.

If he drove, he would be an extremely cautious driver. As a co-driver/passenger, he can be a bit of a pain in the ass (he never carpools with Edge as he drives at the limit).

Slim (Swapfell Red) - Likes building/customizing cars more than driving them (although unlike Stretch he learned and even finds it relaxing). He goes to auctions or junkyards and finds the worst carcass he can find and then turns it into a shiny new machine.

Paps ends up filming him one of his works one day and Slim explodes on the internet. Razz and Paps set up a YouTube channel for him, which shows some of his work and soon he has a huge following. A lot of people say that what he does is magic (sometimes it's not too wrong).

The pieces he assembles caught the attention of many people and he was invited to work in several repair garages and even by a large brand to design new models, which he dismissed, because for him it is a hobby not a profession.

Slim is a driver who doesn't like to go too fast or too slow and doesn't mind breaking a law or two if it means a shortcut or greater convenience.

Cash (Purple Swapfell) – He appears every time with a different car. One day it's a sports car, the next day a van, hours later a limousine and the next week scrap metal dragged from the bottom of a lake. No one questions where or how he gets those cars anymore, not after he turned up driving a stork truck.

(Slim refuses to touch any car that Cash brings him)

Miraculously he is a very serious driver and almost as strict as Paps (at least when he has passengers).

Sugar (Horrortale) - just like Paps has a convertible, but actually his dream is to own a Monster Truck. Sugar often drags others (and that includes anyone from the other skeletons to random strangers on the street) to watch Monster Jam.

He is an excellent driver, but sometimes he loses his temper and makes risky overtaking or goes over the speed limit (but only if he's alone or with Paps, just to tease him).

Pink (Underlust) – Has a convertible with a pink glitter paint job and an extra battery system (for Tonton). He doesn't mind speeding up or breaking the laws if the need arises.

(For some unknown reason, Pink never gets lost, even when he takes shortcuts along country roads without a map or GPS)

G!Papyrus - he likes old cars that have been “modernized”. He has several models (all customized by Slim) that he treats like babies.

He doesn't drive often, he's one of those weekend drivers who only goes out with his babies to show them off.

X!Paps (XTale) – He's had a car for less than 24 hours. Everyone agreed that he had better rely on the public transport service since then.

Epic!Papyrus – Despite being of legal age to drive, he hasn't started his driving lessons yet, but once he has a car he'll pick something practical yet cool.

Outer!Papyrus – He's heard about these strange inventions that get stuck in the ground and slide on wheels down dark paths and is fascinated. When he finally walks into one he thinks he's going to explode with happiness. The excitement over the novelty is short-lived and soon he's trying to convince Slim to make some modifications to a model for him.

And so the first flying car is finally created.

Honestly, it's not really recommended to hitch a ride with him. He's not a very conventional driver (especially when he gets tired of traffic signals and switches from land car to flying car and breaks at least 20 aviation laws).

Grim (Reaper!Papyrus) – Like Stretch, Grim collects miniature models since his AU doesn't have cars.

As soon as he has time from his job he will take driving lessons...

Main Story Chapter 6-3 summary

Crowley has gathered all the dorm heads and has explained the situation to them. He has already informed the faculty just earlier as well. 

Vil seems quiet as he takes in the information that Grim has harmed mc. Kalim also feels uneasy, believing that Grim isn’t the type to do that either. 

Leona looks unimpressed, being annoyed at being woken up so late at night just to search for a cat. Riddle is concerned about the school festival and agrees that Grim should be captured so that there are no problems to the safety of the visitors. Azul looks exasperated and calls Grim a problem child lmao. Lilia says he’s come in stead of Malleus, who’s apparently out on his nightly walks. Lilia claims he’s not good at searching for things but will still lend a hand. 

Ortho cheerfully asks if the target should be caught dead or alive. Crowley: Of course alive! Try not to harm him as much as possible!

Idia, through his tablet, confirms that the ‘winning condition’ of this quest is to capture the target without killing it (he’s talking in game terms). He then says that it should be fine to leave this ‘even’t for Ortho to handle by himself. Ortho seems fine with it, and says that he already has a map of the school grounds installed, including hidden doors and secret passages as well. He’ll immediately find the target through infrared detection.

The scene moves to a while away, to the forest behind campus, where Ortho has spotted Grim and gets ready for combat. We have a short fight here
