Sanji left home for 2 months and got married to the first semi-attractive man that looked at him. He didn't know he was bi 10 hours ago. Good for him.

Ace mostly married Sanji because A) Sanji has no sex education and that's what he thought 'going all the way' meant, B) there happened to be a traveling merchant passing by who was ordained and C) Sanji couldn't hit on his sister if he's already married (don't tell Ace infidelity exists Ace has no examples of married people so assumes they're all in love or preventing the other from flirting with their younger sibling)

Sanji isn't 100% sure he's married. Not because he was drunk or anything, he just doesn't believe someone like Ace would marry him The Same Day they met and thinks it was a very vivid dream at best.

But then Ace gets word that Big Mom stole Sanji and Luffy was currently fighting to get him back and apparently they're trying to marry Sanji off and that's No Fair because Ace married him first and thus has dibs

Ok, now I'm worried about Ace on the soul kissing ask, was that painful? Can a human hurt a monster by kissing their soul? The pain had something to do with Ace not being ready for that?

It’s a LV thing. When someone rubs a monsters soul, they feel the intent behind the touch. For reader, it was love and adoration. But being LV sick means aces soul struggles to connect with others. It was unable to process the good intent and interpreted it as an attack, hence the pain.

He was super distraught at it not feeling like he thought it was supposed to and ran off so SO wouldn’t see him break down at the thought of being broken.
