That’s true! He was my pimp since I was 19. I managed to get away from him when I was 23. Now I’m 26, and he’s back in my life (tbh he never actually left… but there was a good distance between us since I left him until now). He’s probably the most fucked up and horrible man to have ever existed. Literally worse than Epstein. I’m so pissed that I have to bring him back into my life (and therefore Arlo’s life too), but I need the money to survive rn.

People also assumed he was an imaginary friend of mine, but now multiple people i’ve met here and irl have evidence of his existence now that i’m sober and (somewhat) mentally coherent. The truth is that for years, he was drugging the fuck out of me and selling me around, and i literally went insane in front of everyone on here. Couple that with genuinely having schizophrenia, and people just bullied me and claimed he never actually existed and i just made him up. Tragic lolcow story as always!

thank you!! walton, technically, is the one who’s telling this whole story. it starts off with this character, robert walton, a young explorer, writing letters home to his sister while he’s off on a sea voyage trying to find a northern passage through the arctic. after the first few letters, he finds a man half-dead on the ice and brings that man aboard his ship. the man, of course, turns out to be victor frankenstein, and walton basically goes, “hey, sis, you’ve gotta hear this crazy story this guy is telling me,” and he sets down frankenstein’s whole story in one of his letters. once frankenstein dies after telling his story, walton leaves the room briefly, hears a bit of a commotion, and returns to find the being sobbing over frankenstein’s corpse. they have a brief exchange, during which the being vows to destroy himself by suicide now that frankenstein is dead, and then the being leaves the ship, which is the last walton ever sees of him. 

so --- in the grand scheme of the story, he’s not a hugely major character, since he only comes in as frankenstein is dying, but he’s technically the one telling the story, which is kind of interesting. when we hear from frankenstein, we’re technically hearing frankenstein’s words as they were interpreted and set down by walton --- and when we’re hearing from the being, we’re hearing the being’s words as they’re told to walton by frankenstein, and then as they’re interpreted and set down by walton in turn. kind of a cool way to frame the narrative. but, anyway!! that’s who he is. kind sea captain who finds frankenstein on the ice and then gets told the craziest story and has to meet a corpse monster.
