Oh yeah, Jax definitely caused Ribbit to abstract, especially given his two different reactions to seeing Kaufmo and Ribbit's doors. O_O Jax trying to convince Pomni that he doesn't care about her or anyone else just absolutely breaks my heart because to me, you can see how much self-hatred and guilt Jax is carrying as he manically talks and him trying to push everyone away keeps him from feeling the pain of losing someone close again, both for himself and for others' sake. ;_; Pomni saying the Jax isn't the funny one right before really cements the hurt too because Jax is basically agreeing with her and saying that he's actually the bad guy in this world, so getting close to him and being friends with him is just going to hurt her more than it's going to hurt him (which we know isn't true). ;_; ;_; ;_; ;_;
