I’m at the GP and this large white bald man wearing a black top and jeans just came in face to face with a large white bald man wearing a black top and jeans who was exiting.

They look IDENTICAL. Exact same height. Exact same face structure, everything. Same shoes. Like, this man was duplicated. And you could tell they both realised it cos they both just gaped at each other for a full minute, like they were just questioning the entire universe.

Finally the receptionist says ‘can I help you’ and the one exiting quickly exited like he was running for his life. And now the man who was coming in is just sitting in silence with a look on his face like ‘have I been duplicated? Did my mother not tell me I had a twin? Who am I? Am I even me‽’

And I’m glad I’m wearing a mask cos he cannot see how entertained I am by all of this.

And to all the Franco fans who are glad he’s been bumped up this has hindered him too.

He has no option of a Williams seat next year. He could get them their first win in years but they won’t drop Carlos Sainz for him. James is too in love with Carlos for that.

And as far as Formula Two are concerned he’s graduated. Gone. Their job here is done thank you very much. So next year chances are he won’t go back there.

His choices next year are either the slim chance that Sauber picks him up or being a reserve driver. Or he could possibly be another driver whose career is damaged by being brought up too soon.

I've just been told I have 17 sessions to teach 7 units as part of the Classical Archaeology module and I can't begin to fathom a) how little the students know, and b) how much I'll have to cram (which is a consequence of c) how much they expect me to teach).

Bonus: none of them can even imagine I'm going to spend twice as much on the late antique unit than in any of the others
