It was around a month after Sunny's BT grad, and she was happily waltzing around the halls happily with a big smile on her face. But, as she was a soldier, it was now time for her first mission.
29/03/12
The transport chopper was smooth as it glided through the clear sky, flying over a dense forest packed with trees and creatures unknown below them. She smiles wide at Major across from her, checking over her special kit and fixing her helmet. Everything was fine. Nothing was wrong, she just liked to fix it, and maybe it made her feel more professional. Her snow blonde hair tied up in a low but tight ponytail, two strands out in make-shift bangs. She does another kit check the way Major taught her, ensuring her gun had the safety lock on. Sunny was proud, happy. As always.
However, the chopper starts to shake and wobble a little, the pilot waving it off as turbulence, and it'll be fine. Sunny just goes with it, trusting the man she knew as 'Nikolai'. "I'm really excited." She smiles to Major, who nods once and checks his watch, frowning. "Mh." He grunts and looks out the windows, seemingly uneasy.
Clang-!
The sharp crack of metal hits the chopper, and before anyone could react, they spun spiralling down into the forest below, Sunny letting out a cry of pain at her head smacking on the metal. "Gou!" She cries, then gets thrown off her seat as the doors unlatch somehow, and the whole crew -including her- go flying out of the chopper, no guards to help them.
Sunny wakes up alone and groggy, her head pounding and leaking blood onto her brand new kit. She groans and sits up slowly, her snow blonde ponytail now filled with twigs and leaves. "Damnit.." She grumbles and looks herself over, before looking around and standing up. "Major?!" She calls out, tears coming to her eyes at the realisation she's bleeding, alone, and scared. "Major!!" Sunny yells again, walking around the forest before she hits a bump on the ground.
Stopping to look down, she lets out a blood-curdling scream at the sight of one of her crew mates, now dead on the forest floor with a stomach torn open and metal jammed inside. She shakes her head and leans down, taking his dogtags off, remembering what Major told her to do if she found a dead soldier. Dogtags, and their gear if needed. She looks herself over and takes the man's gun, crying out for Major. "Major!! Where are you?!" She yells with no response, walking away and limping a little. "Major!!" Sunny tries again for the hundredth time, hobbling through the forest bush when she reaches the chopper, smoke rising from the engine. "Fuck!" She cries out and finds Major nearby, crouching down and shaking him. "Major! Major!!" She sobs, smacking his cheek and checking for a pulse.
Weak, but there. He was alive, thank god. She leans dosn and puts her head on his chest, sobbing and shaking from the pain.
She goes again for a pulse, trying to take his gear off. Stronger, more rapid. "Fucking- Major!!" She screams out, lifting his mask to let him breathe. "Please!"
Sunny weakly sits the hunk of a man upright, sliding his gear off and crying her eyes out. "Major...?" Sunny mumbles as he opens his eyes, groggy and sore. "Mh.." He groans and lays back down, putting his hand out. "Sun... Sunny.. You're alive.." He croaks out and looks at her, a little wheezy. "Oh my god- Oh my god!" She yelps and looks around for a medkit, metal dug into his neck.
"Medkit- What- My training.." She thinks and spots one, running over and checking the red kit, then running back to Major. "Lie still-!" She whines and sits a leg over his arm to hold him still, pulling the metal out and wrapping a bandage around his neck. "Fuck- Oh, thank god you're alive!" She smiles at the thought, leaning down and hugging him tight. "Talk to me- Please, Strike.." She whines and moves back, his eyes closed and mouth open. "Strike..?" Sunny goes quiet and stares at him, then lets out a gut-wrenching scream and passes out after a short while.
When she wakes again, she's in a MedBay bed, trembling from the cold and linked up to machines. She weakly reaches for the mask, looking around before talking to a medic. "Ma... Major..." She whines out, eyes darting all over. "Major, where... Where is he?" The medic looks to another lady. "I'll be back." The medic walks out and looks concerned. Sunny goes out again, machines beeping and medics crowding her.
A weeks goss by, and she's sitting up now, talking weakly about the incident to a police officer. "I can't remember much..." She finishes her statement, perking up at the door opening. "Major!" She cries out, almost flying off the bed to hold him close. "Oh my god- Oh my god!" Sunny cries out and holds him so tight he might explode.
