Freshly sprayed Sticky Walls in my basement! Also two examples of the sticky wall in action in workshops this winter. I'm co-leading a training of trainers tonight for gardeners and farmers about how to access and secure public and private land for community projects in Philly. Sticky Wall recipe: rip-stop nylon (call your local fabric store) sprayed on one side with repositionable artists adhesive. You can put up papers and images from brainstorms, etc, and move them around as the dialogue evolves and shapes. Fold the Sticky Wall in on the sticky sides and store until next time! When it loses stick (maybe every few months), wash in the laundry and respray. 

I learned to use this tool and method from my work with Just Food and Heifer International - and I think they learned it from the Institute for Cultural Affairs Technology of Participation training, which I have also taken.

These workshops will take a look at popular education and critical pedagogy and how we implement these into our lives and the work we do. This workshop is designed for self-identified activists, change-makers and those involved in social justice work. Participants must register.
