#pose making

I’m going to send this out to the simblrverse and maybe someone will have an answer for me

I watched a video of someone making poses and they had preloaded expressions to work off of which OMG that would make life so much easier!!!!!

Now I scoured the search engines trying 50 billion different keywords to no avail so I finally caved and sent the person a message asking about it whether it was something that even COULD be downloaded or if it was something they made themselves. The reply I got back was that if I couldn’t figure it out then I should leave pose making to other people and download their stuff.

DAFUQ!?!?! Why? Why are we gatekeeping resources like this? I am no professional pose maker so I’m not even potentially going to be taking money out of your pocket if you share this info. If it’s your own created library just tell me that! I make poses for my stories when I can’t find something else that’ll work and maybe I’ll feel ok enough one day to try to make some for friends/mutuals as more practice (today is not that day because I can say eh good enough for personal use but for someone else it has to be perfect and nothing I’ve done is that)

So anyway if there’s someone out there who can point me in the right direction of this awesome pose making resource or something like it it would be much appreciated

シャーロットにとってのヨカナーンはドミニッチだ。 ずっとそう思っていた。 サロメの物語を知ったあとにできた2人だけど。 口づけまでのポーズもそのうちやりたいな。 参考ポーズはめちゃくちゃ気に入ってるサロメの姿。 いろんなサロメがいるけどこの絵がいちばん惹かれたな。 一ヶ月くらいは時代や舞台を連想させるCCを合間に探しつつイメージを固めてきた感じなんやけど、なにより「あ、これがあればもしかしてサロメができるかも。」と思ったきかっけはDanjaleyさんのInvisible Bodyparts でした。 大皿に乗った生首の表現はどうすればいいか長年悩んでいた気がしますｗ 私の様々な挑戦とひらめきはすべて素晴らしいクリエイターのCCがあってこそ。このサロメが出来て本当にうれしい♡感謝♡

本家ヨカナーンの雰囲気には負けるドミニッチ。 髪がそのままですまんねｗそれしか似合わないお前が悪いｗ 滅多にやらない流血ものやから血のりこわーこわーって思いつつ 久しぶりにドキドキする良いものができて満足である。

Okay so totally ignoring the “stirrups” because they obviously aren’t right...  Here is a non-exotic pole for my carousel horses.  Whaddya think?  I appropriated the mesh from the carousel object... that is the original specular - is it too shiny?? and the original multiplier, I just made it recolorable.  I need to rotate the UV on the base though so it runs the same direction as the pole. It needs work.. but it’s better than the other pole.  Especially since it has a finial so I don have to have a ceiling for it to make sense.

Should I lose the stirrups all together?  They are going to need some serious work to get them to work on the full size horse.  In both cases, I will have to make them a separate object that can be raised because the horses are at various heights...

And I’m just going to come out and say this... I have gotten comments in the past when working on these poses of “why don’t you just use the [store] carousel??”  And I got really deflated and put them away.  I didn’t say anything.. I just put my toys away and went home.  But I’m going to explain why that hurt.

This set is, was and always will be about the horses. I started them not long after pets came out - long before that carousel object.  It was back when almost nobody was doing pet poses yet. I did them because I loved the fanciful horses. Not to mention pet posing was new and challenging.

I only added on riders as an afterthought long after all the horses (all like 9 10 12.. I don’t remember actually) were already done.  So all of my WIP pictures have been WIP riders. 

So when it was said that I should just put the riders on the stupid carousel object...  It was like saying just trash all horses because who needs them...  The part that I actually love about the set... So yeah...
