i honestly feel like they crossed the border of “just friendship” in the ship after billy died/came back to life. there was an absolute shift in their relationship at that point--see: billy hugging jason, zack not moving his hand from billy’s chest until he had to, kim touching his face, trini looking happier than we’d ever seen her in the film. but when it turns into full-blown romance? hm.
im gonna be totally honest and say that the relationship becomes romantic without any of them having to say anything. like, they just kind of fall into deeper and deeper levels of intimacy, to the point where one kissing another is less “OH MY GOD YOU JUST KISSED ME!” and more “that felt nice. i love you.” this fic is essentially what i mean. nothing huge or earth shattering happens--they just sort of fit closer together day-by-day until they start getting Physical
