Did you skip over the part in #162 where the neo walkers formed?

The Neo Walkers were mentioned in the last arc and it made me do a double take because I didn’t remember them being established as the replacements for the Ancient Walkers. As it turns out, this is because the story barely draws any attention to it. The Ancient Walkers literally just mention Merlin, Aurora, and Athair being their successors in a single line of dialogue a few scenes before they die, which I didn’t highlight because I can’t share every page and I figured there would be a better scene to talk about the change
I guess I kind of assumed they hadn’t taken on their new roles yet because the story straight up does not show Merlin ascending to godhood at the end. The last we see of Merlin in that arc has him talking to Sonic and co. like normal in Knothole, and he just kind of winks at the camera and says he has some connections after the idea of going to Athair and Aurora for help gets brought up by Tails and Knuckles. It just ends there with no clear scene highlighting that the new group has formed
So yeah, that apparently happened
