Lots of them post at least occasionally about discrimination and oppression, both against mutants and other minorities. Kitty’s very active in the Jewish community on Tumblr. Dani has a specific blog dedicated to the Cheyenne, combating bigotry and misinformation. She convinces James to do the same for the Apache.

Jean and Ororo have a joint blog dedicated to it, which also acts as a sort of advice column. Evangeline helps with legal advice.

who is the fandom blogger

Most of them, to varying degrees - let’s be real they’re a bunch of nerds - but some more than others.

Piotr draws fanart, of course - everything from reinterpretations of ancient fairy tales to his favourite Star Trek characters. He’s also happy to draw for his friends - swashbucklers for Nightcrawler,  scifi dramedies for Kitty, space operas for Illyana, etc. 

Jean loves fantasy, of all sorts. Her very favourites include Earthsea, The Last Unicorn, Tamora Pierce, and most anything with witch protagonists. She also loves magical girls. There’s a lot of squee on her blog, but also analysis - she has a lot of fun incorporating her psychology background into meta. 

Pixie runs Fuck Yeah Dazzler. Bobby has a soccer blog. Scott’s got a blog where he analyses fight scenes. Laurie (Wallflower) had a YA blog, and Sofia keeps it updated. Laurie (Transonic) and David run a blog analysing and critiquing realism in fiction.

Rahne used to, as did Barnell, but they’re more confident nowadays. Idie and Evan are just starting not to, in large part thanks to each other. Nezhno still does, but it’s not out of insecurity.

Pixie does, though, often with reluctant participants.

Doug can speak entirely in memes. It’s unsettling.
