ah, the dark blue hell site <3
to my trekkie followers, HAPPY STAR TREK DAY!!!
I feel so blessed to know this franchise and this fandom, even though i’ve only now been a trekkie for a year, and that we share the ideals and dreams of a better future for everyone. i feel so emotional. racial, lgbtqa+/queer and disability rep keeps getting better and better, and trek is finally making its former subtext into real text and giving minority groups a chance to shine.
it’s amazing being a new fan of star trek, because i got to go back to the start and make my way to the now, i had 55 years of content to watch and engage with and just wow. when i feel sad about the future, i just remember what could happen, how the trek ideals could become a reality.
also spock is gay, did you even see his homecut bangs. and season 2 of picard looks amazing and i cannot even put into words my sheer excitement for strange new worlds
That bpd feel when you've disappointed someone and so you feel guilty and angry and upset and disappointed in yourself and so you just make the whole situation worse because you can't deal with the fact you disappointed someone.
discussing gifsets with @tennant like
Pfizer Club 😎💉
The film isn't out yet, but this is just a general psa that I do not wish to be tagged in "Music" (directed by Sia) edits or gifsets, and I will not reblog anything from that movie.
It's incredibly harmful to the Autism community and as a disabled person (additionally, my partner is autistic), I'm disgusted by Sia's ongoing ableism and disregard for the Autism community and the wider disability community in general and it's not something that I want to give any voice to or support.
I do genuinely ask people research and listen to the affected communities on why we believe this film to uphold negative and harmful tropes, as well as the doubling down by Sia and her refusal to listen to affected communities and minorities.
Disabled people make up to 20% of the global population, and as the largest minority group, it's important we're listened to, especially when actions by people like Sia will affect minorities within minority groups.
Least I need remind abled people that disabled people (and this includes neurodiverse and autistic people especially) are killed at alarming rates by police, and this is further increased if the disabled person is a racial minority in addition. It's time harmful views of disability are called out for what they are, and it's time we are listened to.
hi, sorry i havent been around much. i got the second covid jab about a week ago and while the majority of the symptoms and side effects are gone, im still super fatigued and i dont have the energy to make gifs or post on side blogs. hopefully things ease up for me over this next week so i can get back to gif making.
