Magic of Makeup
“Mama, why do you put that stuff on your face?” The three-year-old Sarada wondered.
“It’s so I look pretty,” Sakura answered.
Sarada was confused, her mama was already very pretty. If anything her papa was the one who needed this ‘make-up’ stuff. Mama always called him handsome, she didn’t see it.
That’s when something clicked in the young Uchiha’s mind.
Sakura said her goodbyes and left to meet with Auntie Ino.
Sneaking into the bathroom, Sarada took her mama’s makeup bag and brought it to papa.
When she set the bag down, next to his spot on the couch, Sasuke looked at her with puzzlement.
“Why do you have that?” He asked.
Full of confidence, his daughter said “I’m going to make you pretty!”
Not sure if he should feel flattered or offended, Sasuke slid off the couch and onto the floor next to her.
Walking through the front door, “I’m home,” Sakura said.
Her daughter came running towards her at full speed. “Welcome home, Mama!”
“What did you do while I was gone?” Sakura asked after she picked Sarada up.
She started snickering and pointed towards the living room. As she walked into the other room, a wave of concern hit her. What could Sarada have gotten into? Sasuke was home so it couldn’t have been anything too bad.
That immediately washed away when she saw her husband. He was sitting on the floor with red lipstick smeared all over his lips and chin, bright pink powder on his cheeks, and purple eyeshadow all around his eyes.
“Welcome home,” he said in a flat tone as Sakura tried to contain her laughter.
“I made papa pretty!” Sarada exclaimed.
“Yes you did.” Sakura told her.
