this is me abruptly introducing that i have an OC post-story bit for MHA :] here's our loser yuri protaganist shes the biggest hermit you've ever seen. shes also yuri did i mention that
ahem. and if i may be completely unwell about the moose and slug for a moment,
i keep thinking about a post-story scene where lumpus and slinkman's relationship is still in rocky territory, and they have like... kind of a half-arguement getting ready for bed and it doesn't really go anywhere but there's still a tension in the air, and then a moment of silence as they settle and face each other in the dark. there's a beat. and then slinkman just... reaches over to take lumpus' glasses off (he'd always been in the habit of adjusting them over the years), and he's confused for a second, and slinkman's just like "you shouldn't sleep with those on. you're going to break them" which is like, ah, yes, completely logical action, and something he's told him a million times,
Sure he can make record delivery time without a car, but he's gotta be careful- those pizza bags aren't blast-proof!

•°☆TIS I THE SOUP FAIRY!!!☆°•
Your character is sitting outside a little restaurant by the sea. They are telling their most intimate friend about their beloved. They're drinking something delicious. What are they saying? What are they drinking?
The sun was high in the sky, making the waves before them sparkle and glitter. Jaz buried her toes in the sand, wiggling them in to the rhythm of the music reaching them from the opened terrace doors of the restaurant in her back.
Next to her, Mel slurped noisily on her cocktail through her straw, glancing her way.
"So," she said and took another sip, "why did I fly across half the world to see you?"
Jaz hummed and raised her cup. "Because there's nothing like cocktails at the beach?"
"If you want to call that a cocktail."
"Actually," said Jaz, setting aside her drink. "I've been meaning to tell you about something. Or, someone."
At that, Mel perked up. "Someone?" Her face darkening, she cast a look around. "To speak of it, where's Leon? I've been here a full day and have seen no sign of him." She paled. "I swear to God, you don't want to tell me -"
"There's someone new."
Mel dropped her cup. "Jaz. No."
"He is very cute."
"I swear to fucking God..."
"There you are."
A shadow fell over them from behind. Jaz dipped her head into her neck, smiling as she extended a hand and motioned for the man who had come up behind them to sit next to her in the sand. Leon did so with a smile, chuckling as he noticed the look on Mel's face. He leaned in to Jaz.
"Have you already told her?"
"I was about to."
"What is going on, you two?" Mel interrupted them. "Who is that new guy? If I came here only for you to tell me that you fucked things up..."
"Melody," Jaz smiled broadly, pulling on the colourful band that was wrapped around Leon's hand, "meet the new addition to the Equinox family." Picking up the small, sand-coloured animal that came traipsing behind from Leon's back, she held it out to her friend. "Meet Jimi."
Mel, dumbfounded, looked between the puppy and Jaz, and blinked. "Jimi?"
"Hendrix."
"Jimi Hendrix." Wide-eyed, Mel took the animal, whose tail was wagging against her arm and brought it closer to her face. Jimi Hendrix extended his neck and sniffed her face. Then, his tongue darted out and licked across the tip of Mel's nose. Jaz had to bite back a chuckle when Mel's expression turned the softest she had seen in all the years of knowing her. "I'm going to be such a great godmother."

In your coco and the beanstalk au how does hector and Miguel first meet? and what was their reaction to meeting? if they do.
Oh gosh, I’m picturing it now.Land of the Dead but in a more medieval setting. It’s been well past Hector managing to get a new magical bean to then get Chicharrón to make him the potion, so Hector having been a giant is a bit of a secret that he, Imelda and Coco, Julio and Rosita take to the grave. There’s weird rumours but they were often dismissed as impossible and Elena and Victoria never knew since their abuelito becoming human sized was a new beginning for him and he’d rather keep it that way. Here’s the thing tho, that kinda doesn’t translate in the afterlife. Giants and Humans have their own seperate spaces and Hector freaks out when he realizes he’s back to being big when he passes. He has to work a lot so that he can actually get somewhere to live right at the edge of the giant side so that he can at least see his family regularly (building in the LotD is still basically stacking and safety to the wind, so the divide is necessary or else there’ll be a lot of bumping into houses or stepping on things and yeah that’s not ideal).Imelda in turn, manages to get the Rivera household to be built right at the edge of of the human side, so in a way both homes are connected (I’ll even bet the twins would have found a way to make tunnels beneath the house so that the family has easier access to Hector’s side. It’d be kind of like a burrower scenario come to think of it).
There’s only really ONE meeting point between the two sides, and that’s the plaza. It serves as middle ground for both worlds and people and giants actually get along quite well if they’re happy and entertained. It’s also the only time Hector gets to walk around with his family (and by that I mean he carries them around to get a better view of things).Despite the separation rule, the Riveras are quite happy with their lives since they are technically never apart (unless they’re working, otherwise Imelda and Co. will be at the shoe shop and Hector will be roaming around the giant side and plaza doing odd jobs (He’s often looking after kids tho, he enjoys babysitting since he knows how to keep the kids’ attention).
BUT, enough of that visual! Lets talk about Miguel.
Considering the whole fantasy medieval setting, I’d think there’s more than a thousand ways Miguel can get himself cursed. One such way is maybe stealing a magical artifact. He doesn’t do this out of any malice really, it was a dare that went wrong. He’s between life and death and the only one who can see him is still Dante. Dante knows what is up and takes the boy to the land of the dead via one of the shortcuts he takes. At this point Dante is already an alebrije and that reflects on how he changes immediatly when he reaches their destination. Now it’s a matter of figuring out where they are…Which is easy when they nearly get stepped on by a giant skeleton that’s walking by.Dante’s goal is to take Miguel to any Rivera they can find, and since they’re in the giant side of the LotD, that’d be Hector! Problem is…He’s not at home and there’s no way inside the house since he locks up tight (There’s still giants who hate humans so Hector doesn’t want to risk anyone finding the tunnels in his house). This leads Miguel and Dante on a wild goose chase to try to find the kid’s great great grandfather.
The meeting is what’s hilarious. The only time Hector isn’t a giant is every Dia de los Muertos, so as to make it easier for him to visit his living family. This means that he knows who Miguel is, he also happens to know who Dante is because he’s seen the Xolo follow Miguel around all the time and has even seen him as an alebrije back in the LotD so he understands the two are connected somehow. With this in mind, as soon as he sees his great great grandson and the silly looking alebrije, he freaks out and nearly scares Miguel half to death because he’s huge and the kid is still pretty small. After the two calm down a bit Miguel is astonished. His great great grandfather is a giant?! How the heck?! How come no one ever told him?!Hector is embarassed about it and explains he’d rather have been human from the start and that he’d thought it best to not tell Elena or Victoria (which he later regretted after Victoria yelled at him for keeping such an important secret from his family. She wasn’t just angry at him tho, she was also angry at her parents, grandmother and aunt, but yeah he was the focus of her anger for a while until she understood things from his point of view).Miguel is amazed that they managed to keep such a huge secret and laughs as soon as Hector glares because of the unnecessary pun.
All in all, despite the first impression, it’s not a bad way to meet a relative. The issue now is figuring out how to break the curse so that Miguel can get back home.
