” … in my experience, Tokyo crossings are very much like the circular paths as I have been encountering here in traditional Japanese gardens, thoughtfully designed through the garden-city landscape. People immerse themselves in their (digital) worlds but at the same time they belong to this extended »flock«, moving, at intervals, without catching an individual with its touch. Solitude in gardens is an obvious thing, whereas in multidirectional pedestrian crossings, it is different, the dynamics between an individual and the crowd is extremely intense and fluid. Sequences of red and green are structuring the choreography of life, of walking and standing still. The movements, voices, words are folding the noise and silence fields of time …”

View of raccoons climbing on bare tree inside fenced enclosure at Belle Isle Zoo. Printed on front: "Coons, Belle Isle, Detroit, Mich." Printed on back: "1234, Coons, Belle Isle. Belle Isle is in the Detroit River between Detroit and Windsor, Canada. The island contains 702 acres and is entirely covered with one of the most beautiful parks in the United States, having some 21 miles of macadam roads, a magnificent casino, pavilions, boat houses, aquarium, horticultural hall and zoological gardens. The Island was purchased by Detroit in 1879 and has since then expended $1,600,000 in beautifying it." Handwritten on back: "Dec. 24, 1912, Dear Bruther [sic] and Sister, I am well well thank the lord but Henry has a bad cold and the ... so bad that I wonte [sic] come out there yet mabee [sic] will come later on wish you all a mary [sic] exmas and happy new year. From, Emma." Card is postmarked December 24, 1912.

I bought Mawcoo by @art_by_tracybond within seconds of the exhibit opening. I always buy a highland coo when I visit Scotland and I fell in love with this one .

The autumnal watercolour bay leaves by @madartchick had been my favourite of all the uploads I saw prior to the event, so pleased I got it

@malcowie's Castle on the Rock and @ingunnmoseng's Parashanti were hanging within two boards of each other and I couldn't stop looking at them both. Like they were telling a story together and I couldn't buy one without the other .

@barbarana_illustration's Mothers Day is spooky and sweet at the same time, makes me wonder at the story that's behind it

My artists came from Norway, Scotland, London, Melbourne... what a lovely mix
