Wattpad Advice?

So I started posting my current WIP on Wattpad, however, my writing partner and I did some very intensive edits to the first couple of chapters. These are changes that are going to affect the story a lot further down the line. Should I take down the version that I currently have up there, should I just leave it and make a new posting, or just add it to the WIP as like a “Prologue V.2″? 

I guess the easiest thing to do would be to leave it until things settle out in my writing process but I’m impatient and I love feedback (attention).

hey I'm trying to get up the courage to start posting my writing in places and I was wondering if you had any tips for getting work seen by people/what some popular tags for writing are/etc...

Okay, so the two platforms I use are Archive of Our Own and Fanfiction.net to post my writing, however that’s only my fanfiction. I don’t post my original writing online for fear of someone stealing it and making it their own, and as a person who’s aiming to make money off of their original work, that would be a horrific situation.

Tumblr is great and all, but it’s not the best platform for writing because it’s also a platform for all of this other stuff. However, if you want to start on Tumblr because your familiar with it, I’d tag your writing as #writing #original work #original writing and then add on tags about what your writing is about.

I don’t know any platforms for posting original work because, like I said, I don’t do that, but perhaps some people will comment some suggestions on this post.

If you actually are posting fanfiction, I highly suggest using AO3 over Fanfiction.net. Even though I started out with the latter, AO3 is so much better when it comes to formatting, responding to comments/critique, and with their tagging system it’s easier for your story to get seen. 

Don’t be daunted by the “receive an invitation” part of it; I was daunted about that when I first joined, but in reality it’s just to help the people who run AO3 make sure the site can handle the flow of people signing up.

Don’t just like or reblog someone’s writing. Leave a comment. Write a review. Send them a message. Even just “great job” can lift a writer’s spirits like you would not believe. Any terrible day a writer is experiencing is suddenly made a little brighter by getting even the simplest compliment. So please, if you like someone’s writing enough to like or reblog it, take the time to tell the writer so in words. =)

not that you care, but i'm going through my old journal right now, the one i used when i was in the worst part of my depression (that journal was more my best friend than anything or anyone else ever has been and i love it but at the same time it hurts to see that the only person/thing that knew what i was going through was a book), and i'm finding a lot of surprisingly good writing, so posting it... if you cared a bit. yeah.
