Potato Star 2013QR3
One of my favorite thing to do in my free time is watching Korean drama, yep, I really do. Some people say it is a waste of time, but isn’t in this world full of stress, we need something to distract us from?
Recently I am watching the one called “Potato Star”, it is basically about how life was messed up in South Korea after a meteorite was about to hit the earth. The drama is supposed to be comedy, but there is also a typical love-triangle motifs in almost every single Korean drama, between two brothers and one girl named Jin Ah. The older brother, who is really smart and running a family business by being a director after graduating from Harvard, fell on the ground and temporarily lost his memories, then had a crush on the girl who happened to live in the small garage of that wealthy No family. The younger one, who went missing when he was young, but somehow returned to that family, also gradually fell in love with the poor girl. Watching how love was naturally happened between younger No and Jin Ah was cute, and refreshing.
But then it hurts sometimes seeing the older No had trouble expressing his true feelings towards Jin Ah, who had no idea and could never even image that the manager of Kong toy company can have a feeling for her. At one part of the drama, this song was played in the perfect moment, when older No was so excited to come see Jin Ah after gaining his full memories, but then so upset to see younger No hugged Jin Ah.
It hurts a lot seeing people who love each other but cannot stay together.
