Making potholders for a Christmas present. Crocheting with cotton is kiLLING MY DAMN THUMB
In case you’re interested, the pattern is as follows:
3 sc in magic ring, ch 1, turn.
All sc after this are in back loop only.
2 sc in first stitch, 1 sc, 2 sc in last stitch. ch 1, turn.
2 sc in first stitch, 3 sc, 2 sc in last stitch. ch 1, turn.
Continue until the diagonal is the desired size.
sc2tog, sc until last 2 stitches, sc2tog. ch 1, turn.
Continue until last row.
Last row: sc3tog.
I’m planning on adding a border, which will probably be just sc all around, 3sc into each corner, add rows as desired.
If you want to alternate colors like I am, then alter pattern as follows:
Stitch 3 sc in magic ring in color A. ch 1 in Color B, turn. Stitch row as written, working in Color A as you go along so you don’t have to keep sewing in ends. ch 1 in Color A and work next row. Continue alternating A and B in this way until finished.
