hello! i’ve loved ur hp edits forever and seriously thought i’d been following u forever w how much of ur stuff i rb lol anyway i was just wondering how you were able to make such bright gifs like in this set & not make the skin tones all weird? like if you have a specific method or any tips? thanks in advance🥺

hi!! oh my gosh you're so sweet thank you! 🥰 my go-to adjustment layer when it comes to coloring scenes like these is selective color. so for this particular gifset i set the cyans and blues to 100%. and then duplicated the selective color layer a few times to really make it pop. that way you're only changing the cyan/blue-toned colors on your gifs, not the skin color. and on top of that i also did hue/saturation to enhance the colors a bit more. and then it depends on the scene you're using – if the characters aren't moving too much you can also add a color fill layer. to do that, you simply make a new layer with either a gradient map or a solid color of your choosing. then change the blending mode of the layer to either color, soft light or hard light – again, it depends on the scene, you have to see which one works best and which one you like the most. and sometimes, you’ll want all three of them, to really make the colors pop. after you chose your blending mode and the opacicity you want, you’ll want to add a mask to the layer to erase the color from some parts of the gif – and that mostly mean the characters' faces. hope this helps!! 😌

okay so “all the young dudes” by mskingbean89 on ao3 ofc everyone knows that one,, not really enemies to lovers but it’s slow burn and it’s SO good & then the marauders series by pengiwen is SO GOOD it reads like the books and there’s like 8 or 9 books so it’s super long and it’s super good slow burn with remus and sirius it’s not really enemies to lovers but it’s great. it tells basically their 1st year- the war,,, “come back move forward” on ao3 is an au where sirius teaches at hogwarts and HATES remus and it’s a cute lil long one shot enemies to lovers,,, lastly “you’ve got love” by cruisinwritealong on ao3 is ADORABLE it’s only 10 chapters so it’s a shorter read than marauders and atyd but it’s still really good it’s based on the movie you’ve got mail and it’s ADORABLEEEE!!! i have so many more but these are just a few that i adore

i don’t even use ao3 but these kinda sound like they’re worth navigating that ugly website for
