i got to go to a pottery studio and i made a petrova line plate!!! it was so very trust the process and i was very rushed but i'm so happy with how it turned out :))

ignore how goopy the paint is (it was still wet when I took the pic lol) i was VERY rushed and painting the bottom was an afterthought!! but i'm so happy with how it turned out :333 it's not perfect but i love it!!!

I ended up pugging clay for the studio tonight so the only glazing I got done was the little additions on these guys

that red glaze is called Ancient Copper and the sparkly grey one is called Cosmic Tea Dust

got invited to a pottery glazing event by my aunt so I made a mug inspired by (directly copying) a design by @plastiboo and para moon

In today's video, I will be testing micro cerulean from Mayco Colors. All around this glaze is a denim blue that ranges from satin to glossy with varying degrees of crystal formation and crystal distinguishment from clay body to clay body. This glaze is mostly stable, with only a slight bit of downward motion that seems to pool more than run. If application is overly thick, I could see there potentially being running if you pushed the pooling over its gravitational limits. I fired my tiles on a straightforward ramp up, and natural cool down without hold. Due to the nature of crystalline forming glazes, you may be able to get more or less crystal growth with adjustments to holds and cooling speeds. This glaze performed well, though with slightly varying results across all the clay bodies I have tested today. The lovely color, stability and snowflake crystal formation make this a glaze that I am sure you can make use of in your own studio on non-food contact surfaces. Thanks for tuning in this week.
