My talk on Bloofy (Inside Out 2)
I see Bloofy (Bloofy's House) as a reference to a variety of characters, like Blue's Clues, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Dora, and some others too, and Pouchy as a reference to the helper, like Backpack (Dora), Toodles (Mickey), and many others from shows and films. I like it as it reminds me a little bit of the classic fairy-tale references and pop-culture in the Shrek movies. Of course, they're different, the jokes in Inside Out 2 were more smaller (size and playing out scenes I mean) than Shrek's, and respecting charm and making fun jokes sprinkled in has been done, I think even during some early years of cartoons, but I can see Shrek taking it in a big statement.
It's alright if you're not into what I said here, but I just felt of saying it since it feels fun to me.
