Headcannon Time!
Yesterday being the Fête Nationale de Québec (otherwise known as the Feast of St. John the Baptist), I for one have to wonder how French-Canadians reacted initially to the likes of Powerful Pierre, a somewhat snarky French-Canadian adversary of Huckleberry Hound in a few early episodes, or even Loopy de Loop, a well-intentioned, but yet misguided in the end, French-Canadian wolf seeing himself as one chosen to correct by example all manner of perceived injustices targeting the lupine race generally, only to fail hilariously (sometimes with his nephew Bon-Bon adding to the hilarity).
Have the CB Bears ever pondered the possibility of what they may need to do in case their beloved Perfume Wagon breaks down beyond repair in the middle of one of their missions?
Tell me this wasn’t likely inspiration for Penelope Pitstop for as much Wacky Races as its spinoff, The Perils of Penelope Pitstop: The 1967 remake of The Perils of Pauline, itself a remake of the famous nine-part silent era serial as starred the legendary Pearl White (who, know, did all her own stunts). (Perils of Pauline Gorge at Ausable Chasm, New York, visible from the US 9 bridge over the Ausable River approaching the popular touristic distraction, happens to be where a particularly famous scene in the serial was filmed.)
One thing Peter Potamus is certain to engage in at least once during his encounters with the Polynesia Uncharted he knows and loves so well: Serious lovemaking out of friendship in the Polynesian stylee, which is about as natural and unrestrained as it can get, as if the experience of diving naked wasn’t interesting enough already.

A song written from the perspective of a former manager; exposing his love and addiction for fresh cut tea leaves imported from China. The pseudonym was coined by a fellow co-worker who helped to keep my sanity levels in check whilst working at a job I had completely no interest in.
I lived in London for just over a year. This was the final job I took there: a ‘Telephony Engineer’. On my first day, brimming with a great deal of hope and enthusiasm for my future, I was told that my life was over. I sat on a bench for a while nearby the office and talked over things with my new manager. We chatted about how he was young once; he played rugby for Ireland internationally, drank a hell of a lot, until the onset of liver failure and diabetes slowed him down.
For me – surprisingly – things slowly got a lot better. Some days I was blessed with the opportunity to work off-site. On these days I’d make sure to pay a visit to one of the Tate galleries close by. From the café on the 6th floor of the Tate Modern you could see all over London, exposing the clockwork – the cogs and tickers. Whilst on what felt like my probation period, I’d often sit up there to read, write, or draw – anything to avoid slithering back into the abyss.

Our new single ‘ P.O.W.E.R.F.U.L. P.I.E.R.R.E.’, from our debut album ‘Highest Point in Cliff Town’ now has an animated music video! Created and animated by Alden Volney, the video presents a Hanna-Barbera-esque tale of twists and turns as Leopold the Fox and Furious Jacques run into some trouble in church...
So catchy and messy! Reminds me of Pavement for some reason. Here is Hooton Tennis Club with P.O.W.E.R.F.U.L P.I.E.R.R.E.
