The Power of Belief is a Rise of the Guardians RPG that takes place in 2020. Our site is based upon both the movie and William Joyce's works. It possesses fantasy and panfandom aspects, and it is hosted on Jcink Premium. We are pretty relaxed about activity.
I would love to see some of the movie or book canons on our site. We could really use some, particularly in regards to the rather big name ones as they will become rather key to our plot.
Jack Frost is meant to be the first Guardian. Originally named Nightlight, he found himself heavily transformed after a battle with Pitch Black during the Golden Age. While he managed to protect the Man in the Moon and bring down Pitch, such a victory came at a price. All that Nightlight was fell away and he became lost. He was a boy frozen in time. Thus, Jackson Overland Frost was born.
For those more familiar with the movie, the interpretation we are looking for of Jack is actually incredibly similar to how he is depicted in the movie: Jack would have held a long period of not knowing himself and this fact creates the identity of "Jack Frost," as in his loneliness things like blizzards are often shown to happen. The real difference is that Jack was never human, but originally the protector of the Man in the Moon, thus making him the first Guardian. He was originally named Nightlight and was the reason Pitch not only failed to corrupt the Man in the Moon but is also stuck on earth. He does eventually awaken and during his years of being "lost" he helps the other Guardians as they begin to form.
Depending on your source, Jack is either the Guardian of Fun or the Guardian of Childhood.
Nicholas St. North is a former bandit who later became the figure known as Santa Claus. North is among the first Guardians, having turned away from his ways as a bandit when he came across Santoff Claussen and proved to be the only one among his men who survived the test. North is an ingenious toymaker and a jovial man. He is the Guardian of Wonder.
Queen Toothiana is a the figure known as the Tooth Fairy. She is the last remanant of the Sisters of Flight, having become their queen when they died. She is the Guardian of Memories.
E.Aster Bunnymund is the figure known as the Easter Bunny. He is a Pooka, a philosphical warrior, and the only survivor of his race. Bunnymund is the Guardian of Hope.
Sanderson Mansnoozie is the Sandman. He is meant to have been the first Guardian and is the Guardian of Dreams. He is portrayed as seemingly being Pitch's true enemy and possibly the only individual capable of striking fear within him.
Jamie Bennett is a mortal and the first believer. He is meant to have been the last light, the one believer who did not give up when Pitch was attempting to stamp out the Guardian's belief. Moreover, during the incident in Burgess, he was the one who helped inspire belief and strengthen the Guardians.
As our site takes place in 2020, Jamie should be much older now. How he is portrayed is fairly open to interpretation since he has likely changed over the years.
Emily Jane is a powerful being that is far more well known as Mother Nature. She plays a neutral role within the world. More importantly, as Pitch's daughter, she serves as the one individual capable of keeping him in check.
Ombric Shalazar is a wise and powerful wizard. He is meant to be the last Atlantean. Moreover, Ombric holds a rather big role in the world. He is the founder of Santoff Claussen and teaches the children there. Moreover, he is meant to be Father Time.
Katherine Shalazar is the Guardian of Storytelling. She is known for recording the adventures of the Guardians and telling interesting stories. Moreover, she is meant to have been a fierce nemisis of Pitch.
The Power of Belief accepts many of the canons that can be found within both the books and movies, from any of Jamie's friends to the children within Santoff Claussen. We also accept individuals based off species mentioned or seen within either medium, such as survivors from the constellations Pitch attacked or nightmares. We would love to see anyone take up any of these characters! If you are unfamiliar with the characters, they can be found here.
On purpose..
.. there is something about it. It is much more meaningful and relevant when it lyes upon intention. When my purpose is intentional, it gives me the freedom to forget about everything else. Not forget per say. But permission and space to be present and aware elsewhere.
The traps lay are in the change of my purpose, the shifting of my purpose and the distractions from my purpose.
Ill admit it. I will always make room for distractions. I don’t live in my world alone and doggedly pursuing my purpose can make my mind (and life) well, boring. I have zero desires to be a recluse, a hermit or a monk, but I do enjoy the opportunity to consider a life from another perspective. A chance to learn something new, and hopefully, a chance to share something of myself.
In my mind however, I always know where I am going, and what I am doing. Whether it be for a day, a month, or a year, I always know my greater purpose and I never lose that direction. The distractions will always pass, and usually quite quickly.
Now shifting my purpose is a touch more slippery. This happens when the world needs something from me, or has something to teach me. It has taken many forms. Its created a new job opportunity - careening my career off into a new direction. And other times, its giving the blessing of a new partner - forever shifting both my priorities and my values. I take heed of the wisdom of the world, for if it is not listened too, I have found it to have grave consequence. And so I shift. I change. And eventually I find my way back to my purpose and continue to move forward.
Now. It in learning how and when to CHANGE ones purpose that I am currently challenged by. This has come to me during a place in my life when I least expected it, and certainly did not want it. Everything was perfect and I mean everything. I had finally arrived at the place in my life that I had always dreamed of.. and I suppose that this may have been the trigger?!
A sense of dissatisfaction grew in my gut like I was needed to give birth to something inside of me. Having never been pregnant I obviously have no idea what this might feel like, but it was this persistent feeling that demanded, in a very subtle way, for my attention. I tried to alleviate it with many many distractions and eventually I even got myself into new jobs and meaningful relationships. But none of this was enough. I needed medicine deeper.
I committed myself to a 3 months of soul searching. I quit my job, I left the country, and I was committed to sorting it out. However, once I started listening to myself and giving myself the love and attention that I seemed to be giving to everyone else for so many of these past years, well, thats when everything started to change. Unexplainable things started happen, new feelings started to arise and life for the first time just started to unfold in unimaginable ways. I couldn't tell you that I had any plan at all for any of this, because I didn’t. 3 months and I was back to my life, hopefully with a more meaningful job. That was the plan. But that little something inside had a much much different plan.
A new purpose I suspect. And I say that because right now my only purpose is to get to know myself. To learn who I am. Who I really am. Who I am without my communities surrouding me with their desires, wants, issues and fears. I am also learning to trust the world. And even better, to trust myself in the world. I am learning what I feel, what I want and what I do when I am in unexpected situations or run into unexpected people in the world. And it all started when I allowed myself the possibility to get to know myself. To spend time with myself. With that feeling. To give birth to whatever that was inside of me.
To walk into the darkness and to poke around. It hasn't been all that easy, but I am surprised to say that it hasn't been all that hard either. I watch myself continue to grapple with many of the same thoughts of my past having to do with money, love and acceptance. But day by day I am shifting what it is I understand about where these issues came from, why they persist and what value they continue to have by being present in my life.
I can still only see as far as the single next step and I still don’t know that it is the right step. I have learned to trust by feel, and that next steps just feels like the right one to take. Step after step. Step after step. And 18 months later, here I am.
I wish I could say that I have discovered and I am living my next life's purpose, but I cant write that blog yet. But I can tell you that the people I have met, the issues I have healed and the places I have seen are all being put in my path as key stations along the way to my next purpose. I feel like I am going somewhere important. That I am doing what I need to be doing. And in another 6 or 12 months, I feel like I will get to write that next blog.
However, one thing is for certain. Right now my purpose is all about me. All about loving myself and loving this world. Enjoying every single moment and every single person. And this experiance, this lesson will always be with me and no matter what my next purpose is, I will never forget this lesson. I will never let the happiness and joy of knowing myself dull. Not ever.

Does Manifestation Actually Work? Science vs. Belief
Many people wonder—does manifestation actually work? The answer lies in how belief and science interact. While some see it as a spiritual tool rooted in energy and the law of attraction, others focus on its psychological basis. Visualization, affirmations, and setting clear intentions have been shown to boost motivation, confidence, and goal achievement. The science supports the idea that when you believe in a goal and align your thoughts and actions toward it, your chances of success increase. This raises the common question: is manifestation real, or simply a mindset shift? Either way, it can help you live with more focus, purpose, and clarity.
How Belief Boosts Your Manifestation Power Every Day
Belief is the true fuel behind your manifestation power. When you genuinely trust that your desires are possible, your thoughts, emotions, and actions align with that reality. This mental clarity sends a powerful message to the universe—and to yourself. Instead of doubt and hesitation, you move with confidence and clarity, naturally attracting opportunities and energy that support your goals. Practicing belief daily—through affirmations, visualization, or mindful reflection—strengthens your mindset and keeps your intentions focused. Over time, belief doesn't just support your manifestation power—it becomes the driving force behind real, lasting change.
